I was searching online on Christmas Eve for a place for my Dad with veterans assistance. Someone from a place for mom called my brother and I right away and we set up a tour at a facility close to our houses. We had my Dad moved in within a week. This was such a blessing. Thank you!

I know that there's a lot on the website, but there's just so much there. I really feel like my best help was from Rob Icard over the phone. Rob is a good listener and navigating this whole taking care of your parents thing has been a huge challenge and stressor on me and my family. I wish we had more resources to do this.

I was immediately placed with a case worker that took the time to listen to my concerns. Within hours I had been given a list of places. I receive helpful emails as well as continued support of my caseworker.

I STARTED OUT AS A COMPLETE NOVICE WHEN I BEGAN LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT LIVING LOCATION. THEY HELPED ME BY EXPOSING ME TO A VARIETY OF LOCATIONS ANDALSO AT DIFFERNET COSTS. I WAS ABLE TO FIND THE PERFECT LOCATION WHICH HAD A LARGE APARTMENT, A COMPLETE KITCHEN, AN EXTENSIVE INTERIOR COURTYARD, AND IT WAS FAIRLY NEW. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE LOOKING FOR SHARING THIS NEW CHAPTER IN OUR LIFE TOGETHER THERE.

A Place For Mom made my search for the right assisted living facility for my father easier than I expected. They answered all of my questions, scheduled all of my tours and helped me best understand what questions to ask and what to look for when touring.

The woman that worked with me was so patient. She never gave up. Set up every tour for me and checked back to see how it went and was interested in my personal opinion of the place I toured. She suggested places that I didn't know about.

This is our second time working with them. The first time was when we considered moving our mom because of care we were paying for that we found out was not occurring! They were very knowledgeable and supportive of our situation and followed up. Once we determined that our mom needed an assisted living facility, they took all our information and went to work recommending places. We had a logistic issue, which they were very helpful with as well. Every facility we contacted, responded immediately and followed through answering questions.

Every emailed link, phone number, and contact person was available on one emailed page. It was truly amazing to have everything at our fingertips.

The transition from independent living to assisted living was as seamless as possible. I wish we would have utilized A Place for Mom when we selected independent living because we would have made different decisions so we weren't moving Mom twice.

Jody Matheny, my representative, was a wealth of information. She set up appointments with facilities in the area. Not knowing where to start, I was relieved to have an experienced person who was able to bring up ideas and solutions I didn't even know I was looking for.
