Without this phenomenal service,
My 83 year old, very ill mother, would have not received the right medical attention and care!

When my husband had two strokes in April 2024 - -he was able, with acute care and then home therapy, to get to a point where he was using a walker (sometimes with help) and doing well.
3 weeks ago he contracted COVID and went downhill in a few day. Lost 20 pounds and was unable to even stand.
Another trip to the hospital in an ambulance and then 14 days in acute rehab - -again!
This is the point that I knew I could no longer take care of him at home. I work full time and had a wonderful caregiver during the day but the other 128 hours a week were on me.
Not being young anymore and with a bad knee, the decision had to be made.
I felt like I was in the middle of the ocean without a boat - - where do you start - - which place is the best for him?
I remembered seeing A Place for Mom on TV. Made the best phone call of my life!
Immediately connected with the most amazing person that walked me through the whole process.
My main concern was level of care, followed by ratings, location and "my price range capability".
Not only did she provide the boat - -she gave me the paddle and directed me to shore.
I have to say, calling them was a God Send. He is now in Brookdale getting excellent care - -not too far from home and manageable.
Make that phone call and let them help you!

Ron Stewart at A Place for Mom was very helpful and always available with any questions I had. He asked me the criteria that were important to consider for my mom's move to assisted living (e.g., she needed a pet friendly facility since she has a small dog). He generated a list of residences that met the criteria and reviewed it with me. He then arranged tours of any residences we were interested in and then followed up afterwards to see how things went. He referred us to other affiliated services that were also very helpful and high quality (e.g., movers). Throughout the entire process he was kind, patient, and always helpful. Thanks to A Place for Mom, my mom is moving into her chosen assisted living residence today!

A "Place for Mom" was a great service even if was actually for Dad in my case. In less than a day, Rachel had suggested both interim home care and suggested two great places to go visit. It turned a stressful emergency situation into a very manageable one. The recommendations were top notch and well targeted to what we needed

A Place for Mom was very helpful when I was trying to find an independent living situation for my mother-in-law. They connected me with appropriate facilities and other resources to help with the transition. There was no pressure and no obligation for any of the resources they connected me with.

A Place for Mom was a huge help in our search for a place to bring my mom. They gave me a big list of places to check out, among them Fox Trail. They helped set up an appointment and we just loved it! We had never heard of it before and thought we would have to place her in a nursing home. This is so much better for her since she is fit and active. She can go outside and they have a walking path for her. Without A Place For Mom we would not have known about this great option. It has only been a few days, but mom seems like she fits in like a glove. She is all smiles.

Christina was an absolute Godsend when it came to finding a place for our Mom. We weren't sure when we would be moving her to an assisted living facility but she continued to stay in contact with us and offered support and advice. She is absolutely wonderful!

Caroline Ventry and her assistant, Tiffanie, were so patient, knowledgable & understanding! Caroline listened to all of our concerns and assured me they would find a great place for our loved one. She saved us a lot of time researching and touring facilities that would not meet our needs and stay in our budget. She is a wealth of knowledge and such a reassuring & caring person. If and when, we need to make any changes, we will definitely call Caroline! Highly recommend her and her staff!

We are located in Florida but trying to a relative determine assisted living options in Virginia

I was looking into respite care for my husband when I was going to be out of town. I had never checked into this previously and was very grateful for the information I received and the multiple places to check iento.

After filling out some basic information on the A Place for Mom website, I was contacted by a very helpful representative. She inquired about how quickly we were looking to make a change and we said immediatly. Within a few minutes, she made a couple suggested places and scheduled tours within an hour. We took three tours that day and found the right place for mom. About a week later mom was moved in and living comfortably.

Quick response to reach out and assist in searching for the right place. Provided good insight on the process, what to look for in a facility and facilitated the scheduling of facility tours. Offers helpful tips and hints.

Reviewed facilities that met my requests. Set up tour appointments and helped me decide which ones appropriate to tour. Very friendly, compassionate and supportive.

I'm not quite sure of the value, or should They receive a percentage on work that the family does. After doing homework I'm not the only one that is not seeing the value.
Sending me emails and not following up with the client has no value to me as I know how to use the Internet.
Calling 5 months after my mother has passed to see if I'm still looking for a place for mom it's quite hurtful and very disappointing.

My dad was placed quickly in a memory in May. We had toured the assisted living side a year prior. We liked it and needed to keep him safe quickly. We tried to give him time to transition and adjust but it was not working well. He was depressed and getting agitated on a daily basis. I went online to A Place for mom and answered a call the very next day. I was transferred to a representative familiar with my state and I could not have asked for a better person! Yvette was wonderful! She spent over a hour on the phone with me and within 20 minutes she had emailed me a list of facilities to review. She was not pushy and gave me time to do research. She called to check on me a week after our original phone call and we discussed my brother going for a tour the next day. She called the admission director on a Saturday to discuss my dad's situation.
A week after the tour my dad moved in to Arden Courts. I spoke with him 4 days into his stay and he sounded like a new man! Laughing and chuckling about his neighbor and telling me how much fun he is having! As a daughter I could not ask for better! So happy Yvette helped us through this process!

The first call we got from Kevin was so helpful in finding an assisted living facility. We found the Lakes in Beaumont CA perfect for my parents. When my father said he wanted to remain at home Kevin gave us some names of home care services that was a life saver for us. Thank you Kevin
