I spent a lot of time working on my review but for whatever the reason, my survey suddenly closed and I have to redo. But I won't retype everything; instead, I will say I wish we could have kept Phillip St... as an agent. We lost his help because of one of their company policies regarding time. Thank you, Phillip.
I was very impressed with the quick response from APFM very shortly after a social worker contacted them on our behalf. From that initial contact with Wendy, I had a return call from Susan with excellent recommendations in my area within an hour. My mom moved in the very next day. Great assistance, compassionate, and on point. What a wonderful service they provide, thank you!
A Place for Mom made the process extremely easy regarding locating facilities and narrowing the process down. Kelly and Samuel were very helpful and responsive. I strongly recommend using their service to assist with this transitional period.
I am very pleased with the help I received. I described what I thought my Mom needed and the locations I was as interested in. My representative developed a listing that met my concerns and I set up appointments to tour the facilities. Luckily, we placed my Mom into our top pick residence.
My representative checked in with me regularly to see where we were with the process. She also reached out after we placed my Mom. This is a great organization which helps you through a very difficult process.
My husband's dementia went downhill very quickly.
I no longer could care for him at home. I contacted A Place for Mom for information. Pedro, my advisor, was wonderful to work with.
He set up an interview for me at Bethlehem Manor. Talish, the very nice Resident Care Coordinator there, explained everything and gave me a tour. I was very impressed.
It is not a fancy place, but expertly run. All of the employees are so friendly and wonderful with the residents.
The Memory Care floor is a locked floor. The residents have their own dining room, and TV room. The laundry is done right there also. They are taken downstairs for some activities.
I can decorate my husband's room anyway I want to. I really like that.
My husband is acclimating quite well due to the personal care and wonderful people at Bethlehem Manor. I know I made the right decision for him.
I do highly recommend their Memory Care Unit.
During the time we were going through. A Place For Mom was a huge help. Supplying us with direction and so much information we needed. We didn't know where to start and they were there to help.
They gave us lists of nursing homes. They even set up apts.
Big help
A Place for Mom was outstanding in helping us quickly find a place for my dad to begin hospice care. They responded promptly to our questions and offered support every step of the way. I also appreciated how understanding they were about communicating through text, which worked best for me given my profession.
I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking to find a compassionate and caring new home for their loved one.
L was surprised how friendly and helpful the whole experience was. They were patient and worked with me to find a place that met my aunts requirements. Very helpful.
Tess was fantastic in helping us navigate the first placement for our loved one. She looked at several places on two different states (Florida and North Dakota). She was realistic, supportive, and helpful. Such a blessing!
A Place for Mom helped us find just that, a place for mom! Navigating complex medical and physical needs as well as declining cognitive function, Joy was instrumental in not only finding the right fit but also giving advice on how to advocate for mom in the skilled nursing facility she was in. If we ever find ourselves in a similar situation again, Joy will be our first call!
I had to find a place for my sister. The representative I worked with was excellent. She kept working till she found a place for my sister. I would recommend this service to anyone looking to place a loved one!
I had to find a place for my husband (stage 4 lung cancer) immediately. The hospital was wanting him out now. A Place for Mom found him a facility that morning and he moved in two days later. I could not thank them enough for doing all the footwork/phone calls to get him a place so quickly. Woodlawn Meadows was very accommodating as well. The professional experience with A Place for Mom was 5 Star.
After visiting three facilities, we found the place for us with the guidance from A Place for Mom. They were exactly what we needed!
He assisted by A Place for Mom made the process so much easier, I was not left trying to search facilities out in fact they searched me out. They called to schedule tours taken away that part of the legwork for me and really made the experience quite enjoyable.
We were very pleased with our experience with A Place for Mom. We were presented with several quality locations to review and found one that fit our sister's needs. Good follow up by the staff to answer questions that guided us through the process. We appreciated the help!
We received and followed up on referrals for in-home caregiver services provided in very timely manner by A Place For Mom. It was virtually impossible to speak with A Place For Mom representative as that representative did not return messages left by voice mail or text. It would have been helpful to have such interactions. Nonetheless we are satisfied with our in-home caregiver services.
I want to thank the rep. That helped me in securing our wonderful 2 bedroom apartment at Oakridge Crossing in Fort Collins, Colorado. The staff here is wonderful.
A large number of apartments in this facility have a critical mold problem and they are doing nothing to correct it also the kitchen is filthy and has a roach problem you should not be sending people here
On a Sunday morning, my parent's oldest friend stated he was ready to talk about senior living. He's 73 and a year ago this wasn't an option at all for him. He was adamantly against it. I immediately started looking up options around us and A Place for Mom popped up. I filled out the questionnaire and BAM! I received a call and all our questions regarding their free services were answered.
I was tasked with finding a home for my mother with very short notice.
I was provided information about a number of options, and was able to make an informed decision.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
