My first call to A Place for Mom was a great success. My sister needed a place where she could get the help she needed. We were on a very limited budget. Lisa Heritage was my advisor, she found us a place we could afford on the first day I contacted her. She was very helpful.
PFM gave us several good choices to tour senior communities, scheduled those tours, and made everything simple. We fell in love with the first place we visited, and despite viewing several others, the first was where we moved.
I needed to find an assisted living place for my mother in law rather quickly and the help that they gave was great! They contacted people at different facilities and set up tours for me also!
When I needed to move my Dad from a memory care facility to another facility after two prior moves in five months, I was entirely overwhelmed as to where to begin. The prior two moves were within the same retirement community so I hadn't had to search for a new place for him. Yvette with A Place for Mom was not only very reassuring but set up three appointments for me with three different facilities.
I also visited two other places not arranged through Yvette. I did chose one of the facilities recommended by A Place for Mom.
We so appreciated the help we received feom Stephan. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were given many agency options and Stephan checked in often to see how we were progressing. Unfortunately, not all agencies lived up to the promises we heard in the initial interviews. We felt some of the agencies did not take into consideration the seniors they were looking to help. Some issues we encountered were, inappropriate dress, not speaking to our parents directly, and talking about them as if they were not there.
When my Dad was about to be discharged from Encompass Health Pearland, I was given a card advertising A Place for Mom and a contact's name, number, and email (Kayleen). I was then connected with Robin Vedder to select a Home Health Care company to give my Dad 24/7 care at home for a couple of weeks. Then we connected again and she helped me locate a Personal Care/Assisted Living facility. She was so patient and gracious, going over all of Dad's little quirks and idiosyncrasies. She provided an excellent short list of facilities to tour and coordinated with each of the three facilities so I could visit them all the same day. They were all in the geographic area that we were hoping for, she was familiar with the owners and their facilities and was the perfect guiding hand throughout the whole process.
When you are beginning this process, it is overwhelming. I welcomed all the advice I could get.
Your team of professionals helped me understand elder care, Medicare and Medicaid, housing, lawyers, taxes, touring, useful websites and ways to deal with my parents. Everyone should be utilizing this gem of an organization in helping your parents move on/move out.
Jonathan was instrumental in finding us a perfect fit for our family friend!
Knowing little about senior living, A Place for Mom was an indispensable resource for identifying and evaluating options. When I clicked submit about wanting more information, my phone rang two minutes later, and I was greeted by our support rep (Holly). She was helpful from the start, walking us through everything we needed to know and supporting us along the way.
Kelly Hardy was very helpful through the entire process, even after the selection was made.
When I contacted A Place for Mom, the advocate, Jim, I explained my brother was a Veteran, 66 years old, and in poor housing.
My brother, was in need of a senior community with all amenities a man my brothers age and a few medical conditions.
The next day Jim contacted me with a few Senior Suites. My brother and I did not waste anytime.
The following Monday my brother and I visited two facilities. The Managers were familiar with a place for mom.
On our visit the senior suites on 66th inch South Shore I believe where the manager was too busy at that time told us to come back. The next Senior suites we visited on 77th and South Shore. The manager was very hospitable and The manager was very hospitable and very familiar with A Place For mom they showed us apartments and gave us an application and gave my brother a list of documents that he would need to apply
When my brother brought in his documentation within just two weeks, he was approved for an apartment and we were ecstatic so thank you thank you thank you
My husband's dementia suddenly became much worse and he needed immediate placement. "A Place" knew what to do, who to call, and where to visit before before I could wrap my head around the task at hand. I am so very grateful for their intuitive help, especially Natasha!

I had been looking for assisted living for my mother and a family member recommend A Place For Mom. Missy Williams was in contact with me within an hour of making the original request and I cannot say enough good things about her. Professional, caring, personable and communicative are starters. Missy gave me over a dozen locations to look into and helped answer every question I had, no matter how inane they might be. It put my mind at ease knowing that someone genuinely cared about getting my Mom into the best place possible. Mom made her tour, loves the place she chose to move into and she and I both feel much more relaxed. Mom is cared for and I know she's in the best place possible for her care, all thanks to Missy and the wonderful team at APFM.
Wow, I only had 2 days to find a place for my mom. Ashley got me 3 places to visit and that helped me get Mom placed by the the deadline. All tours were so friendly & helpful in my final decision.
Cyndi with a Place For Mom was a great help she set up tours at several facilities and answered plenty of questions I had, made a very difficult process and decision much easier with the resources she provided. Cannot thank her enough for her help.
Looking for a living situation for my Aunt, 102yo. Tom explained the options and assisted with setup of three visits. We ultimately chose one of these three. Looking forward to an excellent living experience for her.
They found us the perfect place for our parent! They understood his needs and his financial status.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
