Martin worked with me and found an Assisted Living facility for my sister within her means. He was very quick to respond to me and never put any pressure on me whatsoever. This service was so helpful because I had no idea what to do first and am not familiar with places for dementia care in this area. Martin was kind and compassionate about the situation and our needs. He set up appointments for tours for me and followed up with me afterwards. This is a great place to begin your search, and there is no cost involved. I highly recommend this service.
Natalie set up appointments for me to tour 5 facilities. She always checked in after to see how I liked it. I ended up at the facility I didn't think I would like. Very happy with my choice.
Our experience was fantastic. Christina was so helpful. We were given several options to visit and consider
My dad had a sudden decline and I needed some help fast. The people at a place for mom were very prompt in responding, and very compassionate. They helped me get moving when I needed it most and for that I am grateful
I had researched a few places prior to contacting A Place for Mom, but I'm very busy and it was time consuming. They kickstarted my efforts, and really forced me to be as prompt as I needed to be. Jenifer, my assigned advisor, was wonderful and provided very valuable insight into the various types of places, cost saving opportunities, etc. I've also found much of the information on taking care of elderly loved ones very useful.
My representative was so helpful, communication was perfect, and they worked with us the entire process. Even when we hit roadblocks they offered new ideas that became our solution. Truly couldn't have done it without them
Called 800 number and rep could not answer basic questions
Font too small on responses to old people
Got upset
Maryland rep had Paul local me rude
I contacted A Place For Mom for the first time back in September of 2024. At the time, my dad was in the hospital and I felt he needed to go into some kind of independent or assisted living facility, where he could have more social interaction and healthy meals. He was living alone and wasn't eating well which caused him to get weak and fall. After a week in the hospital and eating 3 good meals a day there, and regaining his strength he decided he didn't need to move. He was good. Sarah Heatwole from A Place For Mom remained in contact with me by phone call and text even after I told her dad would not consider moving. When dad ended up back in the hospital 2 weeks before Christmas, I contacted Sarah. I knew it was time to move dad, and got him to agree to "at least look". We talked about his needs and wants, and discussed his budget. She found 2 places right away that she felt were a good fit. Sarah made the tour appointments for me. The 1st place was perfect, so I cancelled the appointment with the 2nd place. I got dad moved 4 days before Christmas. Sarah stayed in contact with me through the move and for a week or so after he got settled, making sure things went smoothly. Dad is stronger, healthier, and happier now than he's been for years. He's making friends and eating 3 very good meals a day! I never would have found this place - or thought it was in dad's budget - if it wasn't for Sarah's help! I can't thank her enough for staying in touch after that first contact.
At a time when things were really confusing. A Place for Moms gave a lot of good advise and a lot of hand holding with no judgement. Really couldn't have done this search with out their support and help.
My grandmother was in the hospital with complicated care and confusing options for release. A Place for Mom helped me navigate these options so much and gave knowledgeable information and advice. I called on New Year's Eve thinking I'd get the ball rolling but not much would happen until a few days after but these ladies were on it immediately and even checked in on New Year's Day. Such an amazing resource!
Dana helped me so much while I was trying to find a way to have my mom's needs taken care of. She was so patient (as we had some medical issues come up) and checked up on my mom regularly. We found a great home care agency that has been such an incredible help to my mom.
A Place for Mom is very helpful in navigating the extremely complex world of assisted living options, I was very new to this whole thing and they were helpful, kind and caring people.
Everyone at a Place for Mom was very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive to my cause. It was a great experience and I will recommend you to everyone looking for a place for their loved one.
We moved dad into Spring Arbor Assisted Living last week and it is going very well. Thanks for all your help.
We are thrilled with the care my mother is receiving and are grateful for the beautiful facility she gets to live in! These were our top two requests.
From the moment I called A Place for Mom, each person I spoke to or interacted with was caring, helpful and professional. While the amount of communications received from various facilities (who work with A Place for Mom) was a bit overwhelming at first, the information provided was invaluable in our search for the perfect fit. Once we narrowed down our search, it was easy to schedule a tour of facilities we were interested in. In addition, the helpful email articles received directly from A Place for Mom were extremely educational and invaluable. Thank you so much for all of your assistance - we couldn't have done it successfully without you!
With in no time at all I have text messages from 4 different facilities.
I received three recommendations as a result of my request. Last week, I called and emailed a request for the representative to arrange a facility tour. I heard nothing and arranged the tour myself.
I was immediately referred to several Adult Family Homes in the Seattle area, and Michelle did a very good job of following up with me. It worked out that the first referral was beyond my expectations and should provide a really easy and positive transition for my wife with Alzheimer's. I felt very well taken care of.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
