Our consultant, David, was so patient and kind and assisted us with navigating our father's move to AL. I couldn't say enough good things about him and your service and would recommend A Place for Mom to anyone trying to navigate this very stressful time for all concerned in this challenging transition.
They really paid attention to my needs and gave me some great referrals.

It has been saving for the right assisted living without going broke?
It was reassuring and extremely helpful to make appointments for tours through A Place for Mom… I was having a hard time connecting and speaking to people at different places before I called A Place for Mom.
I think I was taken more serious and was given access to the information I needed quickly because of their involvement.
So thank you for your help!
My advisor, Jill Case, was very helpful. She provided a list of places that were in the area I was looking for, setup the appointments, which allowed for me to research before visiting. It so happened a place I was familiar with became available. I did the visit and decided to put Mom in the facility that was recommended. Were a week in and I can't say enough good things about the facility we chose.
Thank you, A place for Mom, and special thanks to Jill.
They assisted me in selecting the appropriate care for my family and referred me to the agency we needed
Katie and Jessica did an amazing job helping me find a nice place for both of my parents 1 in assisted living and the other in memory care.
A Place for Mom gave me so much information and support. It's never an easy decision, but the staff was extremely understanding and kind. We found the best place based on one phone call. Thank you!
The decision to move my dad into a retirement community was not easy. Having no prior experience with the process of finding a reputable community and figuring out how to pay for it, where does one even begin? Kathy, our advisor from A Place for Mom made the entire experience so much more manageable, from helping us to understand our options to pre-screening potential communities for my dad's financial and care needs and preferences. With her help we were able to identify and visit a number of suitable communities and even move my dad into his first choice community in record time. My dad is settling into his new home, already making new friends, and couldn't be happier. My brother and I are reassured that he has found a wonderful new living situation where he can enjoy his retirement to the fullest and receive the care he needs as he ages in place.
I worked with A Place for Mom a year ago. I was sent to seven homes, all better than the care facility where my husband was in memory care. I didn't make a change then because of distances and the chance to see my husband every day because he was close by. A year later it was absolutely necessary to make a change. A Place for Mom responded immediately, and their support throughout the process was every bit as helpful as advertised.
I had a very positive experience. My wife's long time caregiver was set to retire and I needed to decide if I needed to hire a replacement for in-home care or if was time for her to transition to in-facility memory care. A Place for Mom made recommendations for companies to handle each options. The recommendations were outstanding and I selected the best entity for both. Based on the status of my wife's condition I ultimately chose in-facility care and I could not be happier with the facility I selected.
A Place for Mom used my answers to its questions to suggest places for me to consider. It also notified the suggested places of my interest to encourage them to contact me. The assigned advisor was polite and informed on distinguishing features of the suggested places.
I have been in contact with Natallie for approximately 8 years. She regularly checked in with me after my mom was placed and is now helping us to place my dad. She is an invaluable resource.
Started going to several facilities myself and gave up and called place forMom. They took all the information for my step dad and then made the appointments for me, complete with ratings, prices, etc. This saved so much time. We agreed with the ratings and chose a high rated facility. My step dad is happy there - Place for Mom was a wonderful experience!
When my wife got to the point where she needed more care than I could give her, A Place For Mom was very helpful to get me going in the right direction.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
