They helped me find a place within Mom's budget that was friendly and clean, plus great food. She eats well. Semiprivate rooms are very spacious and she could bring her bedroom furniture.
Last July my father had a stroke. Prior to this he was independent - driving, eating out, and living a full life. After it was apparent he was not going to be able to return home. It was so overwhelming for myself and my sister and we didn't know where to turn. Then we found Gayle and Robin. They were seriously angels sent from above. They walked us through each phase of finding my dad a place for rehab as well as assisted living. They were kind and supportive and truly cared about us. I can't say enough good things about them both. My dad is now settled and doing well at a facility close to home. Thank you for this service- it truly saved our sanity during this difficult time!
Thank you for sharing, Molly! We are so happy to hear this.
Using the money of companies and basically stealing! They charge companies for placements that are not place by the company. If families click their website but don't use their services they still charge the community if the family moves in.
Michelle was extremely helpful during a very stressful time for our family. She reached out to help us with our search and patiently adapted to our many changes in location and needs. I learned so much through this difficult process thanks to Michelle's knowledge and suggestions.

Nichole did a great job assisting me with locating options within my price range. She followed up with me regularly to confirm I had no questions or help if I needed it
We are so happy to hear Nichole could help you and your family out.
Great experience found my mom the nicest & affordable place in Suwannee Linwood estates; brand new facility gorgeous
Thank you!
I was referred to a Place for Mom from a friend, and I started out really liking the rep I was working with. I felt she was helpful in sending me places based on the specifications I gave her. But I was clear from the start that this could be a long process and we didn't have an exact timeline to move on anything. There were a few times she sent more places to me outside of the area I said we were looking, without asking me, which opened up the floodgates of phone calls and emails. This was extremely frustrating. I had to ask her several times to stop sending me places unless she checked with me first. If you need to find a place quickly, this might be the service for you, but if you aren't in a rush and just want to start looking at places, I'm not sure this is the service to use.
When I first contacted A Place for Mom it turned out that I didn't need them. However, they didn't forget about us and would contact me every so often. Then they contacted me when I was looking for an assisted living facility for my mom, and they helped me find a really nice assisted living facility for mom. Extremely happy!
We are so happy to hear this!
Specialist is fantastic, helpful suggestions, reached out to the facility, assisted in improvements!
Thank you!
Our mom was able to get assistance she needed with her age and medical-related issues. Move in and associated paperwork was handled smoothly and promptly. Caregivers and other professionals were always attentive and caring in taking care of their duties. Staff coordinated well with the family and outside medical staff.
I was desperate to quickly find a great place for my Mom and "A place for Mom" was a God Send! They listened carefully to what I needed for my Mom and responded immediately with places that would meet her needs. Within a week I had my Mom in her new assisted living home and she has never been happier! Thank You for your help and guidance during this process. You all are Fantastic!
We appreciate you sharing this with us!
I had to find a place for my mom in a short amount of time. I was greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful man who explained the entire process to me. He assessed my needs and quickly jumped into action trying to find the perfect fit for my mom and our family. He bent over backwards to try to get us a solution in one day flat. He followed up repeatedly to makes sure we were finding what we needed or whether he could be of any further help. He never harassed or pressured us. And he constantly checked in to make sure I was understanding the challenges that lay before me. He followed up when places he thought were good fits did not present as they had promised to rectify their recommendations going forward.
This could not have gone any better.
We are so happy to hear this! Thank you for sharing.
I will admit it wasn't an easy decision to give up my home of 24-years. It was even more difficult to keep calling on neighbors to help me get up after another fall. The last tumble helped make my choice. I did some online research, created a list of questions and began touring. It took four Centers before I found my current home. When I walked through the front door I felt welcomed, an immediate warmth. Everyone greeted me with a smile and kind word. I filled out an application form that day and I'm delighted I did.
If the responsibilities of caring for your home, cooking, shopping, fear of falling or perhaps you live alone, you don't have to. Drop by the Renaissance-Sherman on Loy Lake Rd, in Sherman, Tx. And have lunch with me. Loneliness will be a thing of the past. You'll meet and enjoy new friends almost daily. The days are filled with activities if you want to join them. Looking back I wonder what took me so long to get here. I hope you will too.
Even my Yorkie enjoys her new home. She's spotted squirrel in the treetops.
I feel I need to update my review which I wrote within days of moving in. After being there awhile I realized what a horrible mistake I had made. I fell twice within days of each fall. After reporting the incidents I wasn't asked if I was alright, did I need to see a nurse, nothing to show concern for my condition. That's when, after some research I learned the Renaissance was charging me RENT instead on Assisted Living which my insurance covers. It does not, however, cover $16,000.00 rental charges. Avoid this place. I have returned home. Do not go there!
Super knowledgeable
Very caring and understanding
Very communicative
Coordinated scheduled visits
Would recommend for all seeking this type of assistance
We appreciate the recommendation!
I called A Place for Mom as I did not know where to start finding a place for mom. The only holdback was mom not wanting to move. Someone called several times during the year to see if we were ready. It was because of this continuous contact that A Place for Mom found us a home for mom. From her apartment to hospital to her new home. Perfect timing! Large room with her own bathroom she loves. Great work ladies and thanks for all your help and understanding.
Thank you for sharing!
The specialist was fantastic! She gave me helpful suggestions for Dad's care and helped determine what type of housing would be best for him. She scheduled tours and we found Dad the perfect place within days. I could never have done this without their help. I'm so grateful!
Thank you for sharing and it was our pleasure to help you and your family out!
The place for mom have been working to fulfill my mother in law needs for a quite long time. The offered me many choices according with my location preferences and budget. Always they follow up with a call or an email to make sure that they were able to help.
We finally selected a senior community apartment in downtown Baltimore. Just recent remodeled, excellent price with utilities included and close to all the downtown Baltimore amenities and public transportation.
Thank you very much!
Almost immediately got a call and some recommendations for a place that seemed to meet our criteria. It was perfect!
Thank you!
I was given many inappropriate places to check out for my parents, when I had been very specific about their needs. I had appointments made for me at places I would never have considered. I was told there was "nothing" in Auburn, but I found three places myself. An employee at one of the inappropriate places was hugely helpful to me, he gave me the names of about 6 places to call, all of them were right in line with what I was seeking, even he knew his place was wrong before we even spoke.
A Place for Mom provided a great resource that did all the legwork for me. Once they narrowed down the search based on my criteria for my mom, I had a list of just 6-7 places to visit. We ended up with an amazing community for my mom and she is very happy there. Thanks so much for making the search much easier for me!
We are so happy to hear this and glad we could help make the process easier!

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.

Thank you!
