The worst customer service EVER. I don't think anyone works there or if the do i hope they don't get paid. This is a disgrace!
Alloy used to be a great place to shop. They had extended sizes in jeans and they were SO reasonable. Not only did I buy extended length jeans from them I used to by tops and shoes as well. Alloy messed up my item that i had ordered and sent me something COMPLETELY different. When I called them they said that it was a mistake and that I had to pay for shipping to send it back as well as I would only get store credit. This made me highly upset. I decided to keep the leggings that were supposed to be PANTS and never order from them again. Even my niece who I referred alloy to said that she no longer orders from them. Sorry alloy. Whoever brought your company, should give it up. The old site, promotions, and customer service was SO MUCH BETTER.
I have been ordering from Alloy Apparel since 2007. I was so excited to find a site that catered to my 5' 11" body frame. They WERE affordable and on trend. WHAT HAPPENED ALLOY? Since they've "relocated " and "updated " their website, the prices are REDICULOUS! $5 for extended sizes and $2 for 35-47" inseams? Really ALLOY? For this reason am I no longer excited to visit the website. Not to mention that there are no longer "colorful" jeans/pants/cords/sweaters to chose from. C'mon Alloy and get it together please!
Used to be a great place to order from. Price has gone way up and items always sold out. Something has changed and it's not good.
I had bought from them in the past and i liked them. But the last 2 orders (i wont be using them again) they screwed me around on. They sold the jeans as stock and then for more than 3 weeks had them listed with some BS "pre fulfillment order". Then after several emails i sent requestingf to know what was status, they changed it to "processing" for few days and then cancelled the entire order with no explanation
I haven't shopped at Alloy.com for almost a year due to being pregnant, but prior to that have shopped there for over 10 years. I was severely disappointed in my recent visit to alloy.com. I am 6'4" and this was the ONLY place I would buy my jeans and they had many options at reasonable prices. Now I find that they only have about 6-8 options in the 38" in inseam category and the jeans are over $50. I felt confident in having two young daughters destined to be tall that I would know where to get that pants that fit, now what. PLEASE BRING THE OLD ALLOY.COM BACK OR TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND HER!
I placed an order over 3 months ago and returned the items. They never refunded my money. It's been months. Where is my refund!
I found out about alloy in 2012 & feel in love with the company, however, sometime last year things really changed. I went from ordering nearly every month or so to honestly saying if they don't change I will never order from them again
I fell in love with Alloy because of the length of their jeans/pants and because the prices were reasonable. Now, the selection is terrible, the items are expensive, the website is horrible, the customer service has gone down, they don't offer too many items in long lengths and nothing is available! Are they going out of business? What"s the deal? I have been a faithful customer for years but they are about to lose a customer.
I went on the site today, after a break from online shopping, to find the site has changed. The layout for shopping doesn't make sense. If you choose to filter by size then that item shouldn't come up if the size is not available. Then I see how expensive the jeans have gotten. The jeans are now $50, they used to be like $36 WTH! A flimsy see through top is $50? What happened Alloy? The word got out that you HAD great clothes so you want to take advantage of your customers. Finally who is your fashion buyer/consultant. The styles used to be so fresh, they now are just so dated looking, trying to look fresh.
Ugh blah boo!
I paid 50 dollars + shipping for a pair of jeans. I opened the bag to find the rivots had fallen off and the jeans were so thin, cheap, ugly! Besides who pays for shipping these day? I'll never buy from alloy again!
If I could give then a zero, I would... horrible customer service, phone system is always busy, false advertisement, and no way to escalate within their company
I saw where someone wrote they couldn't understand the negative reviews. So I decided to tell my experience after yrs of buying from them... I purchased a pair of boots, they sent me to left boots. When I called (thinking they would send the right boot I'd return the left). No I had to pay for return shipping the orig shipping, shipping send the correct one and a restock fee. All in all I'd b purchasing two pairs ending up with one. When I complained (I did not repurchase) they emailed me a 10% off coupon. Still refusing to correct THEIR mistake. I know longer shop there...
I've been in our customer for years and never had any problems until this year. I ordered an outfit and receive the shirt but not the pants. What happened was the pants were back ordered and when the pants came then, they charged my PayPal account and then they charge my PayPal account again. After they charged it the second time it declined. They did not send me my pants because the pay pal account declined when they tried to charge it the second time. They have not given me my refund back for the first time they charged my PayPal account for the payment or the pants and I have complain to customer service about 5 times by email. I am not able to get through to anyone on the phone. They are a bunch of idiots, they don't care about their customers and I hope they go out of business.
I am 6'1" and I wear a 37"-39" inseam. I used to buy from alloy constantly. They were the ONLY store I would buy jeans from. Their styles, quality and awesome pricing has turned into crap. I bought a pair of jeans recently, size 7, more like a size 22, and since they were on sale, I can't return them. Someone else mentioned they're getting greedy. I completely agree. The prices are shooting up while the quality and style disappeared. They definitely lost my business. I'll go back to shopping at the Buckle and pay $100 for a pair of jeans that actually lasts.
Shopping online from new zealand I used to buy from Alloy on a monthly basis spending an average of US600 a month but ever since they started using currency conversion on their site their prices have now become ridiculously high. If the item is sold US10 which is roughly = NZD14 why does the auto currency conversion showing up as NZD48.00 that is daylight robbery... i now shop elsewhere. Pity... u have lost a valuable customer Alloy Apparel.
Emailed customer service two times no answer. Never got a confirmation on my order. The money was taken out of my palpal account. Did they ship it? I have no idea. Wish i would of used american express. They will stand by me. Paypal will give me a problem as usual
I made a purchase from Alloy (as I have done for years) and later made a return. I called to verify that they received my return and inquire about my refund on purchase and was told that I had a balance of a little over $100 dollars to be used for a future purchase and it would be issued at my next purchase. A few months later I attempted to make a purchase and use the credit on my returns and was issued gift cards. When I attempted to use the gift cards, I found that they did not work. This entire process of making phone calls to rectify this issue took me over 6 phone calls and over 3 hours of being placed on hold. I was continuously placed on hold for up to 20 minutes without anyone getting back to me briefly before being placed back on hold. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that I could not speak to her. I still do not have this situation handled and have been refused the opportunity to speak with someone in management to deal/hear my complaint. Absolutely horrible costumer service, leadership dealing with customer complaints, and resolving issues with returns according to company policy. I feel like my concerns and business is not important to this business establishment.
Sooo... update on Alloy...
Order was processed After a. Phone call, a few emaiks, etc...
AND... order and clothing are fantastic!
Dis not get the 90% or the jeans I wanted, but 50% of new arrivals was/is decent and the jeans fit like a glove and I look about 20 pounds thinner!
Thank You Alliy for stepping it up!

**** First... I Love the clothes.
That being said- I put in an order... PayPal still has hold- from March 4th... and I did not receive anything! So... I check, sent e-mail, called (they were closed?), received a response to contact... called. On hold for 11 minutes... No Way! Had to hang up...(only get 30 minutes for lunch)... received email, sent back email asking to just put the order through! Nope. Still. Call. Called again. Closed. Ugh...
Still have not received my order. Or the order I placed after that! Same things. Just not with the 90% off clearance price. And some items sold out.
Sorry Alloy... customer service is a HUGE deal to me and I am disappointed.
By the way... My order was for $96.00 and second order was $89.00! That, to me is a significant purchase and since I was a repeat customer I really expected better.
My subsequent e-mails have not found a way to an acceptable resolution and I put in a quick email to PayPal just recently...
I really, really just wanted my order though! I'm 5'11 and they sell Tall sizes!
I've worked retail and I understand things happen- I also believe the customer is NOT always right... but... they are always the customer!
ALLOY is a GREAT company in my opinion. Overall... NOW... I will say I did one time get one pair jeans that was waaay too tight in the ankle. And I couldnt get across my toes or ankle or whatever. So I sent them back... sad face... but otherwise I think they are pretty good... Yeah, as with all companies there are pros and cons. But. I love ALLOY... and they show great care "in my opinion" of how they try to help their customers. So rock on ALLOY. I love their clothes. I am 41. Dont look. At all but truth is I am. but I can shop from them without feeling like I'm trying to look like a teeny bopper or young twenty-something. But all the same if the shoe fits... lol I am also tall... height is 5.9 and half and weight is a little over 145 almost 150 mainly height. But I do or could stand to work out a little. To "tone". But otherwise their clothes are sexy. Fitting. Appropriate for my age group... Soo please give them a try... and again to each its own... I hope this helps someone... I will never say a company is perfect. But overall ALLOY isnt far from. SHOUT OUT to them LOOKING OUT for the TALL SLIM CHICKS... lol
