I ordered 16 books and the last book took 30 days to get here. On the 29th day I followed up in response to a "confirm you got your order" email.
And I got a form response to wait 30 days and then respond. Although the rest of the experience was quite good. That piss colored the entire experience.
I ordered what turned out to be the original1975 publication copies of Shogun. A two volume hardcover series as a Christmas gift for a friend. They arrived intact and surprisingly, considering how rough and careless the USPS can be on packages, in great condition. My friend really appreciated them as after watching the old Shogun classic series from 1980 and the newer, more crude rude version, had never read the actual novel. Now he can and see how accurate the two Shogun mini-series are compared to the book. Other than there is little free shipping offered on books at Alibris like some eBay book sellers offer all went well.
There is not any free shipping offered on books. The USPS keeps jacking up postal rates. When will they stop that. Who knows. Free shipping offers like some eBay sellers offer would be nice. I deal with eBay more then Alibris simply because of the free shipping offered on eBay, which is not found with Alibris book sellers.
Individual shipping from multiple sources for the same title is doubling the cost of my order!. I understand the necessity (kinda?) but it seems that Alibris is large enough to consolidate identical offerings and ship from a central location. A bit frustrating, but not a deal breaker. Quality and service have always been good. Thank you
