Sometimes ordering a book outside of the US can take a long time. This didn't at all. The confirmation emails and updates on tracking we're detailed. I would use again

I have ordered from Alibris for years with consistent success. I've severed connection with any similar sources that have Amazon connections as far as I can know.
I ordered this item for $17. It pulled the item, then told me it was not available (it was not available because I was trying to buy it!) It then sold it to me at higher price because the one I ordered first was no longer available. A rather sneaky and deceptive way of ripping off your customers, don't you think?

Two of the three books I ordered were accurately described, but a third book had a broken spine and was definitely not in the "Very Good" condition listed. I returned the book and tracked it, but I never heard back from the seller. I know that the book was received by them, but it's been nearly 10 days and there's been no response. Granted, it is the holiday season, so I will be patient. But right now I am out the cost of the book plus shipping as well as an additional $10 for return shipping. I am quite unhappy.
I didn't know that the authors -- Miles James and James Lambeth -- had written a second jealousy-provoking cookbook until I saw it in a pop-up Alibris ad. Pictures and recipes and stories of their time in Tuscany. Their first resto, James on the Mill in Fayetteville, Arkansas, had been a favorite place for dinner, and their first cookbook, Cuisine of the Creative, was an adventure in artist's acquaintance, food, and photographs of the whole thing. The Tuscan adventure was the same kind of adventure but more intimate.
Alibris is the only bookstore that carries books in my eclectic taste in the languages I use. I know of nowhere else that I can find books in Greek and Hebrew and German in nontraditional subjects. I found what I wanted in short order today, at excellent prices.

I ordered five books all at once. One was from a third-party vendor the other four were from Alibris itself. The third party vendor book arrived within 3 busines days. The four books from Alebris got stuck in pending shipping and took an additional two weeks to arive.
I placed an order in late November, with a stated fulfullment time of 8 December for receipt. Order pended for 4 weeks and I had to get nasty to move things along. Time to fulfull was double that stated on the order.
I placed the order, the book arrived in perfect condition (and was exactly the book I expected to receive).
The interface was seamless, except for the fact that I ordered multiple copies of the same book from the same seller, and there was no option to designate quantities. I had to click "add to cart" for each successive purchase.
Always a great shopping experience. Generally, I find what I am looking for. The prices are very good and I enjoy shopping here.

The books was a present for my mom so I don't know if it's a good read. I haven't had the chance to ask her. But the delivery was on time and the book was in very good condition!
The books arrived timely and in the condition described. They were much cheaper than buying brand new and in very acceptable condition. I was pleased, have purchased from Alibris in the past and will again.
The book I purchased was labeled as fair condition. Some words were difficult to read because of blue highlight, otherwise, experience was good.

Answer: I saw the fake stellar reviews and did not dig deeper. I til... I had an issue. Initially, I wanted to give a small seller some business after COVID and the site looked really good. What a big mistake that was! Shame on this outfit.
