Your system did not save my previous password. After my password was changed, the two items I wished to purchase disappeared from my cart. I had to repurchase them from other sellers. This needs to be fixed on by the IT department. Once in a cart, it should stay in the cart.
You could improve the site by having the ability to send a book to a third party, as I have done, and note that it is being sent by the person paying for it (in this case me). In other words ask "Is this a gift?" - then prompt for giver's name

Actual "shopping experience" was straightforward, as it should be. Somewhat put off by having to actively opt out of default subscription to email spam not once but twice during the process. Not confident opting out will even be respected, Alibris seems so intent.
