I tried yesterday to make this book order, and Alibris did not accept my password which was correct as far as I could tell. But I went ahead and requested the code to change my password. I got it, put in the new password and the button wouldn't work. After a break, I came back and tried it again, it worked, and when I went to purchase the books I had set aside, my cart was empty. Luckily, there were still copies of everything I had wanted --- the kicker is nearly all the books in this second order now cost $1 or more than the price I had originally seen when I made up the order the first time. I like to shop Alibris because I like what seems to be an independent book broker, and I don't care to support Amazon. But this has happened to me before, and with the shipping costs, I could just as well pay for Amazon prime and not have to pay shipping. I will give you another chance, but really, it feels like a bait and switch to discover what I want and then raise the price. Really... Thank you for listening.

Purchasing through a desktop computer works fine but trying to purchase through a phone browser doesn't work correctly.

The very first book I tried to buy, my order was cancelled, so I am now a little skeptical that selecting the "similar item" will work. But, they did suggest the same book set from different places, which is more than I can say for some other sites.
I though the estimated shipping would be corrected on checkout. You overcharged me by $1 for shipping. $3.49 and $4.49 equals $7.98 not $8.98. I expected this to be corrected. I have pictures of the books (the $3.49 shipping is actually only a pamphlet) of the shipping charges so I have proof of what the cost should have been. If you need to see them and can't look it up on your website, although I don't know why you couldn't, email me and I'll send the. This is the first time I've shopped on you website, and I do almost all my buying online, but even if it is only a $1 this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth, and I defiantly won't be back if this is not easily corrected. Carts and wishlists appear to expire for guests, and do so far sooner than the 12-hour holding period for items added to one's cart. This means it's possible to lose an item from the cart (because the whole cart expired), but not be able to add the item back to the cart (because the item is still being "reserved"). I don't know what the actual expiration period is, but it appears to be a few hours at most. It should be at least *days* long, if not weeks.
Beyond that, I find the way that items are presented fairly confusing, especially when the same basic item (e.g. CD or DVD) shows up as several different search result items. The site should do a better job of consolidating search data and of making clear to the user what the item really is.

Answer: I saw the fake stellar reviews and did not dig deeper. I til... I had an issue. Initially, I wanted to give a small seller some business after COVID and the site looked really good. What a big mistake that was! Shame on this outfit.
