Really great experience so far using this website, really responsive website, hey have quality assurances and trade protections in place so it gives you more confidence ordering. I placed 5 orders from 5 different companies and so far all positive experiences, easy to communicate with even though i only speak English, i have total confidence ordering again.
The Alibaba website is pretty good. Searching algorithms could be updated to provide more relevant results with less duplicate results. RFQ could be better with suppliers submitting offers that are actually similar to the RFQ and not just some random products they offer within the same category. The mobile application has a bit of issues: messaging always has to log back in to update chat messages (logs in in the background while you look at the chat; creates a very slow conversation update experience).
Otherwise, the basis of alibaba is fine. There are ample suppliers, products and options to choose from.
It would be great if shipping was significantly cheaper and if suppliers would actually send DDP instead of saying they are sending DDP but actually only using DAT/DAP...

You can get some good deals through them but if you have an issue there is no support. There is no trade assurance. They will just ignore your requests for help and only side with the seller even if you have a slam dunk bulletproof case. It is not worth the headaches to save a few bucks, just buy right form the us where you will get customer support.
