I have purchased devices from several sellers. Most will tell you anything to make the sale, but when you receive the product, the product does not work as promised. The buyers assurance is not fair or in the buyer's favor. Alibaba tells the buyer to communicate using their messaging system. When you do, sellers write to you about their promises. When there is a problem, Alibaba tells you that they cannot use the communication as proof of what was communicated between the seller and the buyer. That is rubbish. Sellers know that once they get your money, Its the most difficult thing to get your money back if you are unhappy with their product. They ask you to send proof that the product does not work, how does one do that?
Of the 12-15 variety of products purchased, only 3-4 seller's products was as promised. Many of their technology products do not come with proper instructions on how to use the products. The products seem very complicated and full of useless add ons to make the product seem of high value, when in fact the product is of poor and unreliable quality. When the product don't work, they blame the buyer and say its their fault. This is the most amazing disappointing set of business people I have ever dealt with in a country. The language barrier puts westerners at a disadvantage. My future doing business on alibaba does not seem bright.

The communication with the suppliers is great, the only think that might have some opportunity area is the time that takes to the website to inform that the money has been send and received when you choose the TT paymentb method.
Luckily we were able to get a credit card approved in time for the order. The wire transfer information Alibaba was giving us referenced a NY based Citibank but when contacting the bank, they had no idea what we were talking about and directed us to the "international division. We ended up on ridiculously long holds and dead ends as this division didn't know what we were talking about either. Alibaba's chat support was indefinitely offline or AI based and went nowhere. Attempting to contact Alibaba in the US also went nowhere with hold times exceeding a reasonable amount of time to wait. We were never able to get the Wire (TT) Transfer information figured out - Alibaba never responded to emails. Citibank's confusion at the whole thing was truly remarkable - one could direct them to the page showing them listed as the bank and they had no idea what any of it meant.
