I have used Alibaba.com several times and each time I have had nothing but great service and experiences. The products are great quality and the suppliers are willing to assist buyers with whatever their needs are. The suppliers try really hard to meet expectations with product quality and on time delivery. I will continue to use for a long time.

The trade assurance only works if the supplier agrees to refund! If the supplier does not wish to honour as agreed (specifications, etc.) and also does not agree to refund, Alibaba will not refund it; It's a fraud! We love the system, the Alibaba website, but we always pray to get the right supplier. (the character/honesty of the supplier is most important). Therefore, do not think that Alibaba will defend you if you find a wrong/bad supplier.
No doubt there are some suppliers who work the system to their advantage and cheat customers but, like eBay, is there anything better than Alibaba? I think not. Buyers still must be careful and do the work to be sure that they are getting what they ordered. Those who are not happy should consider not buying items over the Internet, especially from overseas. Amazon gets fleeced by thieves but, with the help of buyers, minimizes the problem. Alibaba has a tougher task. They could do a lot more in helping buyers with the web of local regulations buyers face when importing items from other countries, especially those shipped by sea or rail. I'm buying farm machinery from China and the brokers pretty much fleece buyers with expected fees and charges to do utterly routine, simple, and easy tasks. U.S. Import laws are extremely complex and it takes a lot research to unsnaggle it all. There are helpful sites concerning this that Alibaba could refer buyers to that would really help.

I had very good relations with all my suppliers except my legging supplier Yiwu Guanli which increased prices 5 months after I received my first order and just when I wanted to make a new one.
For this new order, actually, he increased the quantity of the order by 18% and added $1000 to my balance payment. He insists I should pay overproduction, which is not my role. He is placing the risk on me, I do not own the company. So now... I am waiting to start a dispute on Alibaba.

Never order something from Alibaba if the supplier does not support Paypal or trade assurance. Keep the communication only on Alibaba. If the seller wanted you to chat through what's app, stay away. Don't fall for the cheap price. Most likely the SCAMMERs will give you a tracking, and will say "product stuck at customs". Those shipping companies never exist. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
Without Alibaba I would not be able to do the business I have been doing. I never see the goods but I am assured that the quality I get is good thanks to their supplier vetting process.
