I I'm a student at my school, and they do ALEKS for the math lessons! Never in my life have i been more deppressed doing these lessons! ALEKS Sucks! Crying over a math lesson? ALEKS makes you feel dumb at math! It is horrid! I rather do 50 years in prison than have to do ALEKS! Ban ALEKS! This might look like a lowsy review, But... Wanting to kill yourself over ALEKS? Like...NO Child should feel like that Including me! BAN ALEKS!

It did not help my child. It made her go on the problem she was working on multiple times. The help did not help her at all.

ALEKS is one of the worst programs I've ever used. The amount of topics your suppose to be learning is unrealistic. The system isn't efficient and half of the students using it are barely retaining any knowledge. Instead of learning, we rush through the topics trying to get them in on time. There should be an extended due date past 11:59pm for each day for the students that have busy schedules and don't have time to sit down for 4 hours to complete fifteen topics every single week day. The knowledge checks do nothing but add extra time. I think it's ridiculous you have to complete the check before you can begin to work on your topic goal. We should have the option to complete the goal first and then do the check. ALEKS should be taken down and removed from all school systems. I absolutely despise it, along with every other student that uses it.

Parent here. This website is absolute garbage. The knowledge checks and topics are poorly explained, and my 3 year old toddler just solves all problems with addition and recognizing patterns. He doesn't learn any real life things at all, and just trys to rush through it. Definitely stick to Khan Academy.

I would rate it -9,************** if I could, but unfortunately you have to add a minimum of 1 star. I don't understand why Aleks was invented, probably because the creator wanted to see children who were forced to do topics suffer. I hate how when you get something wrong it removed the progress of a question which you probably spent 30 minutes doing, instead of telling you what you got wrong. I would rather jump off the Eiffel tower, while eating a sock, and drinking bleach than do Aleks topics. This is honestly the worst site I have personally ever been to in my life. If you are a teacher reading this, please do not make your students do these topics. All it is going to do is frustrate them, make them want to bash their head with a shovel, and overall make them feel bad. I have to do Aleks topics for school, and let me tell you, the hours I spend on 1 f*cking question could be used to do other things, such as the homework in all the other classes I have to do. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Aleks is just so infuriating! Not good examples, random "knowledge checks", it sometimes just says your wrong, it just at least for me, enraging, it sometimes makes me cry

ALEKS has potential to be an amazing learning tool, but thats about it. The topics requiring a certain amount of correct answers in a row makes it hard to focus on the material, and the explanations only seem to make it more confusing. ALEKS expects every user to know the "basic rules of math" and expect you to just know why and how something happened. After going through tons of topics like this, you then have to take a knowledge check, and inevitably have to redo a ton of topics afterwards because of the poorly organized structure. If you are good at math, maybe this is a resource you should use, but if you just want to learn, this isn't it.

When ido it i felt like i wanna die and bang my head to a f***ing toilet seat.The fact that you spent 1 hour doing 2 topics and the next day a knowledge check pop up and i lost 15 f***ing topic in the f***ing process
Very great,and when i went off the website for 3 god dam second and when i hop back on it says session time out and i have to login again i felt like i need to stuck my head into a trash can and blow up.

I hope you go to sleep and never wake up and stub your toe and both sides of our pillow is warm and i hope you take a freezing bath for 25 minets. Btw 25 minuets is how long it takes me just to finish one problem

This app is horrible. It tries to teach math through monotonous repetition, without actually teaching concepts aside from having you do unnecessarily long questions without break. If anything, it's doing it's best to make everybody hate mathematics as much as possible.

I am at my computer crying, I hate algebra. This is my first day using your stupid "learning tool" and I already hate it. Thanks a lot for making me and other kids suffer.

I noticed how many bad reviews ALEKS was receiving, which doesn't much sense to me due to the fact that it is a great program. Many of the bad reviews are mainly because the only people who actually leave reviews likely have something to complain about. Personally, ALEKS was great for me due to the fact that I can work at my own pace. I've seen multiple reviews complaining about how hard it is, and how it's unfair how hard the topics are. I find this a joke as the longest I've ever taken on a topic was around 10 minutes, and even if I don't know how something works, there's this handy little feature called the "explanation" button, which explains clearly and in detail how to complete the math problem. The way ALEKS is set up, I was able to do 3 years of math in one year, twice in a row. I'm currently in pre-calc, and I'm assuming most of the people in the reviews are not this far in math. It is very easy to progress, in fact, how my school is set up you are required to do 15 ALEKS topics a week, and we have 40 minutes of designated ALEKS time (usually) every day. I have actually been prevented from doing ALEKS due to how far ahead I have gotten, easily getting 45-60 topics per week.

Irritable, nonfunctioning and oftentimes unpleasant to work with. Even when giving correct answers to the correct decimal, the site still does not take the answer. A site to give teachers a free pass into teaching nothing, and relying on a poor website to do their job for them.

Basically a living hell of math. Worst program ever. I wish they would just teach us like they are supposed to.

As soon as I put in the website address for this website and clicked "enter", every single employee at that place snatched my IP, full name, address, and photo of me, and sold it all online for 69$. This was extremely awful because now Quandale Dingle knew where I lived. Quandale dingle entered my home, and shot the family dog, giving it type 69 diabetes and making it die instantly from a stomach explosion. Next, the ohio butthole tickling bandit came to my house and tried to tickle my butthole, but Quandale dingle exploded out of pure hatred and killed the ohio butthole tickling bandit. Next, Mr. Beast came to my house and persuaded me to sell one of my kidneys for 10$. After this, I shot and killed Mr. Breas- *cough* I mean Mr. Beast with the Glitzy Gobbler 69,000 - special edition. Finally, after a long day, I finally decided to work on my 1,000,069 aleks topics due the next day. However, before I could work on this assignment, Sonic the Hedgehog burst through my computer screen and grabbed my balls, dragging me into the backrooms, where Mario brutally molested me into shreds. This is why I will never use Aleks again, even though it is amazing.

I absolutely HATE and I mean HATE this program! I had started the review module at 11:30AM and didn't finish it till 11:50PM. If you mess up 1 problem out of the 2 problems they take away your progress, and you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN. I literally had a mental breakdown from this stupid program. I am taking General Chemistry 2 so this class is already difficult, but ALEK makes this class even harder. I rather my professor give us worksheets for homework than using this demon made program.

If you're a good math student. Don't buy this program. If you're a bad math student. Don't buy this program. If you do good, it makes the test/topics WAY harder. After a few months of doing this it makes you straight suicidal. I used to enjoy going outside but i don't have the time. My sister, who has above a 4.0 gpa and is a senior in highschool, dosen't even know what's going on. I think im becoming homicidal even after this program. But hey! If you want your child or yourself to jump off a bridge, do it!

This is definitely very 5 stars if you want to commit suicide but can't bring yourself to do it.!WARNING! If you want to live please do not use ALEKS or else you are a dead man.

It has poor explanations most of them are not as useful and hard to understand, this makes me left with the thing I was thought. When I complete a pie slice it would let me do a knowledge check, and if u did a question wrong you have to revisit it again.
