Beside all the issues that are brought up here, I purchased 52 week class. I am taking back to back classes, and you have to enter your classes and codes before you can acces. I am getting messages 1/2 way through my semester my second semester Aleks will be automatically put on hold and reactive in May 2016. I have tried repeatedly to contact alek customer service and they say this for my protection. They acknowledge I am signed up for a class this semester. They can not tell me how to reactivate because I can't do this until the program is taken away. They can not put my account on hold after Decemeber so my weeks will be eaten away because I reactivated to finish this semester.

Got it free through school and after the first month of using it last year i used mathway.com and i did so many topics and did good on all the test. SO use mathway cause this will never be used in real life. Load of crap. BS. I think i got more $#*!eder than i was in 7th grade 3 years later.

Gosh, where to even begin. I am forced to use this at my college for Math. It is PAINFUL. You can not learn anything through this program, and there are no books for the course. You complete the problems as asked and EVERY day you work on it the system gives you a "pop assessment". If you do mediocre on the assessment, be prepared to get s*rewed. The system will DRAG YOU BACK your entire time that you worked. It's basically like someone taking an eraser to your homework and wasting hours of your life for a P. O. S. Program. These developers need to give up their careers and go into fast food.

ALEKS is painfully stupid. Not only is it boring, time wasting, buggy, and poorly designed, but it doesn't actually teach the material. You just get a question and it explains how to do the question when you get it wrong, but it doesn't teach you the concept behind the question. All ALEKS has taught me is how cruel and unfair the world is. The sad thing is it cost me like $90 to use. I would rather never use the internet again than use ALEKS for 5 minutes.

Okay, so before you can even do anything on Aleks, you'll have to buy a code to use the website. (at my school it was $120) After you pay for the damn site, you'll take a test.
If you do not do well on the first test, you will be given at least double the amount of work you will do.
Each assignment will take anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes to complete. Now keep in mind there will be over 70 assignments due in two weeks. The site gives you way more work at home then you would ever have to do in class.
Ever.
When I say more work, i don't just mean a few extra hours, oh no. I mean up to three hours a day, every damn day. That's just to scrape by, if you want an A expect up to five hours a day.
Stay away from this, however you can.

I would rather kill myself. I broke my computer because I believe Satin owns Aleks he is trying get to mess with my mind. If I was in a room with Hitler, Osama bin Laden, and the creator of Aleks and I had a gun with 2 bullets I would shoot the creator twice. I believe Aleks is worse than Stalin.

This site made me question my religious beliefs, meaning it made me believe there is a God and he hates me. I'd rather wax my scrotum than have to use Aleks again. Aleks has left me in a dark place, even as I see the light at the end of the tunnel, words cannot describe the trauma I've been through. Aleks is run by the devil himself and requires a daily bloodletting to keep it from crashing. I'd rather play with dog turds. 7/10 Ocarina of Time was better

Problem with aleks, They make you pay same price as a College book 1 semester = 76 dollars, which mean after 18 weeks your little account is like worthless. For a book you can buy and keep it sell it back make some little money. And it make student live horrible by this if you mess up your first ever test t see your skill, if you get a bad score you got double triple homework, and if you get wrong in 1 problem it say Do it more

I think it sucks, that said ill reveiw the problem its BOARING + as it was mention in the comment bellow it is a part of my grade and i think that is unfair becuse one you have to do one hour every few days and you cant messure the topic master maybe your slow or to fast and you get all the ones that you can do. Im a 6th grade student with the mastery of 197 topics and im not proud of that... It takes way to long or to short and you get board. One more this when your down to the last topic befor mastery of the topic it says "great job" get the next one corrrect and ill add it to your pie my first answer was incorect and my second was correct and i have to repeat untill i get it 100% i get it but over all i find it building anger up in me every SINGLE TIME!

I am an A! Accounting student. I have aced all my accounting tests. I was forced to use Aleks for Intermediate 2 as part of my grade. It takes FOREVER! And you don't learn anything because you don't have time to do it, so you try to do it as fast as possible to get it over with. You can literately plan on 40 hours of work even if you're an A student. It does accounting differently than my McGraw text book does. I'd often do it the textbook way and Aleks said it was wrong. The logo/English is different too which often confused me. It gives you the option to put the parentheses for negative amounts when it automatically deducts entries. So you're clueless as to why your answer is wrong, when in fact its right, Aleks just made the double negatives. It was the most frustrating learning experience of my life. It makes you learn numerous things your professor and text book don't teach you. It makes you do long problems 4 times perfectly before you can complete it. It makes you do problems in order to so you cant just jump to what you know already. In retrospect I would have gone through the hassle to take intermediate 2 accounting at a different college that did not require Aleks to save me time and $75 and excessive frustration, because it was that bad!
