I got A's on every single test in my math class but failed because of this stupid $#*!ing pointless, time wasting, uneducating (yes I know that is not a word), dumbass website. Any teacher or instructor that uses this website should honestly not even be a teacher. I am in college and we are assigned over 30 sections a night. I get questions correct that the website states are wrong. ALEKS is BY FAR the worst and laziest way to teach a class. If an instructor uses ALEKS it is because they are too lazy to teach and assign real homework and would rather plug in the percentage points from a website that does not help you learn anything. Thank you for $#*!ing nothing ALEKS. You are the reason for why I have failed a college course.

I moved from Europe to the United States two years ago. When I decided to enroll into a community college, I had to take the math placement test. My high school grades were not acceptable since it has been four years since I graduated. I always hated math and on my first attempt I did terribly, my score wasn't good enough even for the college level math level. Anyway, I was embarrassed and at the same time determined to learn the lessons, so I practiced a couple of days and improved my score from 46 to 57. I found the fact that computer was telling me when I was wrong very useful, and filling learning pies became more of a game to me. Long story short, in four months when I retook the test again, I was eligible for calculus class. Thank you so much Aleks!

ALEKS is extremely stupid. There. I said it. Its math is about. 1% accurate, and I don't need to know math to figure that out. Its problems are always inaccurate, wrong answers are the correct answers, and there is absolutely no learning or time-worth interactivity. All parents viewing this, KEEP YOUR KIDS AWAY FROM ALEKS! HIDE YOUR KIDS, HIDE YOUR WIFE/HUSBAND! ALEKS IS HERE!

This website made the wife take the kids and i was left all alone in a ditch. I then decided to take my car, and go zoom off the bridge. This aleks thing literally made the gnome appear in my bedroom. I cant believe hw big sad this is.;( this wesbite is run by furries, and us gamers can NOT ALLOW IT. Thank you gamers, and rise up. PS. There has been an outbreak of ligma after using this application. Ty then the owner call my obese mom FAT, which she is, but it is more of VERY OBESE. Oops, got to go beat my wife gamers!

ALEKS is the product of EVIL and I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the $#*! out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my $#*!ing words. You think you can get away with saying that $#*! to me over the Internet? Think again, $#*!er. Okay, so I get to the first day of math class at my community college, and there's this chick talking up how great Aleks is and how much we're all going to love it. Now, I may be a remedial math student in a community college, but I'm certainly not as dense as the people at Aleks seem to think I am. Whenever you have to send a representative to tell me how GREAT and FANSTSTIC your learning product is, its usually a bad sign. My suspicions were confirmed as soon as I took the placement test. The program treats its users like they're idiots and the overall interface is laughable. It was telling me how great I'm doing by sending me pictures of beach balls. I'm not 5 years old! Not to mention I had to pay to take the class AND pay for a stupid ALEKS access code.

Over the course of the semester, my fellow ALEKS students dropped out of the class like flies. They were good people, completely undeserving of the torture ALEKS put them through. I thought about quitting many times, but I really wanted to move forward with my degree, so I stuck it out and barely ended up with a C in the class. I was grateful to escape with my life. Some of us weren't so lucky...

Okay, that was a bit dramatic, but in all seriousness, programs like ALEKS pose a major threat to our education system. It allows teachers and professors to be lazy and out of touch with their student's needs. Humans cannot, I repeat, CANNOT learn strictly by repetition on a computer. Memorize? Sure! Learn and Apply? Not a chance. There's a difference between cramming a bunch of facts and methods into your head like ALEKS teaches and truly working from the ground up to understand a concept. There's a reason a majority of the reviews for this product are one star.

If anyone who works at ALEKS is reading this, or maybe even a dean at a college who inflicts this program on students, please do something about this horrible system. It should really be a no-brainer that this isn't working.

When I was only 8 she took the kids and left me with nothing but a bundle of rocks to kill my self with but I shoved them up my bum and spent all my cash on ALEX and after the eviction I set out to be the manager for such a good program known as ALEX so I beat the old owner to death with my rocks and took over the program and now I'm a successful $#*! since I'm making all the children In school get no more head but instead to learn on ALEX.So thank you ALEX for my new mansion and my new punching bag I mean wife and also my beautiful children.

This program is such a waste of time and money. It literally does not let you move forward until you get the lesson all finished. I'm in college and this $#*! is wasting my time. I have other homework to work on than to keep getting a point taken away if I make a small mistake. This will NOT help me in my life, and instead, is really testing my patience. Aleks is the biggest joke ever and should not be given to students. The traditional book and questions are much more helpful than this piece of trash. All of my classmates are struggling to get this stupid homework finished, and my professor had to call their support system to lower the proficiency because Aleks sets it at 100%. Mind you, my math professor changed it to 30%, that is how much people are stressing out over this non-helpful academic tool. Makers of Aleks, I wasted a LOT of time on this so thanks for nothing. By the looks of all the other reviews on here, take some advice, and shut it down. I feel bad for future students if my math program continues to give this $#*!ty website a chance. My course was the first year to have this and it is NOT helpful nor helping me with math, but instead, making me even more frustrated and hating the subject more so than before.
