I have lost my sanity to this site. I do not need to say anything else. The other reviews say it all. Btw the reason it does not show that am verified is because my school got it for us and I did not get the verification email so I can not verify that I have purchased it.

My chemistry professor forced my class to use this for our general, organic, and biochemistry hybrid class, it was the worst thing ever. Constantly being locked out of topics because we hadn't mastered other topics, being told our answers were wrong when they were right, and at one point ALEKS even had some of their chemistry materials just completely wrong. One of the worst aspects of this program is that when you mess up one tiny part of an answer, it just counts it as wrong instead of trying to help you find the right answer so you have to start all over. Another irritating aspect of the program is that when you get an answer wrong you have to basically start the entire topic over, if we get it wrong, then just don't give us another bar, don't take one away! I'm surprised that this program isn't considered torture. If were to lock someone in my basement and torture them, this is what I would give them. ALEKS is literally the closest I have ever gotten to suicide, please close your business, you bring nothing but sadness into the world.

I hate it so much every time we are supposed to do it i cry... it is a chore for me. And i just keeps getting harder and harder. ALSO WHAT J+KIND OF MONSTER OF A TEACHER DO I HAVE THAT GRADES IT!

This site is garbage it doesn't actually help you. Your better off making a full court shot than get 100% on your knowledge check. Whoever created this needs to take this down. Your better off learning from a math teacher than do this. I bet freaking hitler did all those $#*! because of this site. If you are a teacher or principle trying to do Alex's. Don't. It's a waste of your time and your students will wanna leave your school

I am almost done iwth my first semester using this sh! *******@ss program.It has done nothing but make me want to self harm. It genuinely is the worst program I have ever used for school. Everytime I finish an assignment, I am tasked with a knowledge check, which doesn't count as a grade, but is seen as necessary to Aleks. When I skip it becaue there is no point to do it, I am greeted with my homework being at a 40%. This is unacceptaboe. Why do schools need to resort to this *******@ss program in their curriculum instead of classic homework incouding the teacher actually teaching. F*ck Aleks and the person who made it. I would love to be face2face with the man in charge so I can roundhouse that mfer in the dome.

As a highly accomplished samaritan of this good society, I must concur with the majority of those like myself in the sense that ALEKS is the single worst platform for education on all levels. This meaningless dross exuding from ALEKS in the form of an endless barrage of knowledge checks, topics, and pies is enough to drive the human race to extinction. Woe betide those who dare enter the shadowy pit, the sinister thing knows as ALEKS. I pity whoever is forced to use this.

This program is a nightmare come true for those of us with a learning disability. I have spent over 100 hours in Aleks and I am most certainly not learning from it, I have to be taught by my husband and tutor. This program makes me angry, disappoints me, and I feel very strange writing this, but since I saw other people write I will admit …. I have contemplated suicide over it. Makes me feel worthless and more angry that I am getting all these problems wrong, even when I print the explanations out they suck. When I get one problem correct I jump for the moon and I'm confused like WOW I got something right?! There's no one way to learn, and this program surely seems like there's only one way. Very unhealthy for our mental states. I have two young children and I cannot believe what this program has put me through. You'd think I'd laugh it off or have it not bother me … No. AI technology can be evil, here is one example.

If you put in hard work and extra time getting some problems wrong. It sets you back and keeps on adding more!

Bottom line: extremely frustrating and toxic to our mental health. Your little "great job" quotes at the end of the module REALLY doesn't make me feel any better.

Two questions, who tf coded this garbage program, and who gave them their degree. This program probably wasted a combined 100 hours of my time over the past year. It deletes your progress when you get one question wrong, many of the answers they have as correct are not correct. It is evident that McGraw Hill is only in business through bureaucracy, as they are incompetent in every venture. Hate this company with a passion, they are ruining kids interest in learning. Useless company and software. Didn't learn a thing through their resources, had to rely on software that actually works.

I had to deal with this awful learning tool for 6 months for chemistry class, I did in total 198 topics. I cried, got stressed, gave up many time over this app. I still can't believe I even had to pay for this. I wouldn't do it again even if someone payed ME. It is horrible to try to learn in a platform that punishes you really hard for doing a small mistake OR even punishes you for their own mistakes! I had to restart questions at least 5 times because the system had a wrong number in the calculations, or didn't consider scientific notation! The way to complete assignments at aleks isn't by learning the material, but memorizing their style of questions and carefully repeating it many times. I was so stressed and worried about getting the exact response and finish the assignment, that many times I didn't even remember what it was about, 15 minutes after. If you care for your students, their learning AND their mental health, don't make them pass trough this please. Students that are dedicated will one of the groups to suffer the most.

It is mostrosida disgusting, it is boring, not didactic, and complicated to use, also because I would tell a thief that the square root of 50 is 15

The ALECKS program is rigged. I litteraly added the correct answers and guess what? IT STILL SAID INCORRECT! ALECKS IS TRASH DO NOT USE IT! LITTTERALY I SPENT 20 HOURS DOING ONE STUPID PROBLEM AND IT WAS CORRECT BUT ALECKS SAID IT WAS INCORRECT! ALECKS SHOULD NEVER EXIST!

I somehow cannot pull any words out of my a** that could describe ALEKS for what it is.It has made me hate mathematics. ALEKS gives you a topic, then it expects you to make mistakes on the topic so that you can LeArN from them. ALEKS makes sure that mistakes are made by giving limited information on the topic (so nobody knows how to do the math on it) and then makes you solve the topic's problems; however, ALEKS will throw a curve ball of a math problem at you with a problem that has slightly different parameters, then you will get the problem wrong, and have to restart your hard work. ALEKS only requires 3 questions per topic but a student maight do something more like 6 problems per topic... and that adds up over time!

Why the hell do you change the problems up with divide and times like tf bro that some bs plus the calculator sucks balls

Don't get this app it is the worst it's absolutely bull crap do not let your students use it it will kill them.

There are not enough words I can string together to express how much I hate aleks. Never have I wasted more of my time than doing the pointless learning objectives that do not help in any way. Also, I have never dealt with something that is so picking and specific about rounding and decimals. Getting one thing wrong punishes you with more infuriating problems that do not help you learn and understand the material. I would love if aleks could get taken down so no one else has to deal with this frustrating and soul sucking system.

Ever since we were unwillingly forced to use this, my life has been getting ruined by this thing! I hate my life because of you (more than I already did)

During my freshmen year of college I was frightened that I'd have to take an online class. But with the explanations and feedback that Aleks gave, I was able to pass with an A. While my experiences we're superb, I do think it'll be helpful if you had some fundamental knowledge and teacher's to help when necessary. Other than that it's amazing!

I am currently taking a college algebra for calculus course. The least amount of topics in one week I've had to learn is 20 and it takes up all my time. It takes me a minimum of two full days just to finish one chapter, which does not include the chapter quiz, review, or test. This platform is draining and incredibly discouraging. I use to actually enjoy math and thought I was decent at it until taking it through ALEKS. It makes you feel stupid and I'm appalled that professors and teachers are still using this for their students. I have taken online math since my sophomore year of high school and this is by far the worst platform I have used. Now I will most likely have to retake this class which will put me out 1000$ and put me behind a semester. If you're struggling through your course on ALEKS, you are not stupid and you are not alone.
