For context, i'm a college freshman and aleks is being used as our homework system in my gen chem class. Not only is the system itself extremely irritating (especially the way that it doesn't show you your original answer when you get something wrong, and the way that it makes you "work on something else" when you keep getting problems wrong), but the explanations and ways of doing things they show are absolute and utter bs. A friend of mine, who possesses far more brainpower than myself, explained a concept to me in about one minute that a literal hour of working problems by myself on aleks couldn't. For example, i am currently working on the interconverting si units topic. Their explanations are so remarkably convoluted and bizarre that i am starting to question my own sanity. There is no reason to write the conversions with negative exponents. Simply put the number with the smaller unit, instead of doing negative exponents with the bigger one. It literally makes no sense and i'm full of rage. The day this website crashes and burns is a day i will be celebrating.

Currently want to gouge my eyes out and stick them up my $#*!. Aleks does a piss poor job at teaching how to do certain concepts. It takes HOURS to finish a few topics. Just an absolute waste of time!

This site is the worst thing anybody could have done it slows progress of anyone trying to learn anything and deserves to be reported to the FBI for child abuse child endangerment and causing much pain to all of those who have innocent enough teachers to put them through the horrible pain.

I'm in 6th grade and they're giving me 9th grade problems all because I'm in an "accelerated" class. Just wow. I want to $#*!ing kill the $#*! sucking fag who made this $#*!ty $#*! website, and yell at the damn helpline, but I can't because my phone has no sim card.

Also it does a better job at making you feel stupid and angry than actually teaching you math.

And also, to McGraw Hill as a whole, please just $#*!ing shut down aleks, there's no point in using it.

I honestly hate aleks with all my heart, it gives me a problem then when I don't understand the question it gives me some horrible explanation, I literally lost 301 million brain cells reading the first word on the aleks explanation. I highly don't recommend this site. I am in 5th grade so the explanation below was really unhelpful. But the site won't let me put 0 so I have to give it a one

I hate this. Our teacher makes us do so many a week, and they're not even relevant to what we're doing. Also we get points taken off if we get one wrong. This app is $#*! and i dont even know half of the $#*! thats on it. And the videos? They dont help. I HATE ALEKS!

Honestly, this website is hell our entire class would complain about how many topics we need to do, and the fact that the lessons check are the worst makes this website 10 times worst, 1 incorrect answer and this basically restarts you for that topic, wouldn't recommend this to people, I would rather learn how to tie a noose then use this website

I would literally rather learn math off a cuneiform tablet! It would cause less distress than some of the "explanations" this "teaching program" gives you. IF YOU CAN: FIND A BETTER PROGRAM

Some math teachers think aleks is now the only thing students need to make it through high school. Then they cant help when we have questions, so I think aleks does help but the teacher/ admin should not over use it.

Never in my life have I ever wished such bad luck towards a person, but to the developers that made this, you guys sure brought me despair. I'm fairly good with math, but if I mistype and/or put something where it isn't suppose to be, DON'T PUNISH ME BY FIRST REMOVING A POINT AND THEN WARN ME IF I GET IT WRONG AGAIN! Why can't this website first WARN me and then REMOVE the point if I still got it wrong. That way, students can still feel somewhat happy for at least getting it right after the warning! I'm trying to be professional, which is why I haven't remotely typed in anything that will probably get me expelled. I just hope that one day, each of every single person that made this program always have their belts too tighten, or their car stuck in a ditch!

Worst website ever made if you get a question wrong it sets you back, if you do bad on the knowledge check it will set you backs of weeks of progress never use this website.

My biggest gripe about the site is how it decides at a random to interject other topics into your work. Like, I have 20 topics due this week and we're going over things like binomial or normal probability- so why does ALEKS make me do relative frequency and histograms? We haven't done this in weeks
