Something was wrong with my booking ID and it didnt work. So i tried calling/chatting but the thing is you need a booking ID to do that. So I emailed and asked for a refund. No reply so far.
I booked room with 2 beds in hostel in venice but the hostel recieved booking with 5 beds.
That was in venice during the floods and the customer service was not helpfull untill booking.com steped in and gave me some refund.

Don't use agoda.
They process your payment and then bear no responsibility if the hotel is not as described. They wont refund you unless the owner agrees and they will believe the owner no matter what, how scmmy is that.
I booked a hotel reservation with AGODA.COM for Jun 25,2020 to Jun 28,2020. When I refreshed the page, it preset to Aug 25,2019 to Aug 28,2019 (the same day I logged on) which is intentionally listed as "Free Cancellation" with hidden non-refundable policy under that button. After realized that I booked an incorrect date, I contacted them immediately and they promised to inform the hotel to change the date.
After more than a week, they charged my credit card claiming that the hotel refused to change it. They showed the email they sent to the hotel requesting the change, but it showed the same date without any changes!
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!
Booked a hotel for Venice. It's under water, we have pictures but they refused to refund our stay. Said the hotel claims to be 100 percent operational. But they didn't have the food or ability to make it as promised with their free breakfast. They had standing water in the hotel. It smelled like fish in the entire hotel.
Awful Customer service as trying to get help is a missing and a half. Documents sent don't have any information on it. If you are booking within a company i would advise not using this company
I booked accommodation in Auckland near the airport. I found a great apartment for our family of 5. The price on the Agoda website was $150 for the night. So I booked it but wasn't charged straight away. But when it came out of my account they charged $224.50. I rang Agoda as the host name and number wasn't on the email booking confirmation. Agoda said that they could see the website booking was for $150 and because it was the advertised price we could get a refund but first we had to email the confirmation. So I did that, then they wanted proof from a bank statement. So I gave a screenshot of our bank statement and the amount that came out. Then that wasn't enough because it was in the name of the host not Agoda. We didn't want to email a detailed bank statement which shows all our bank numbers and details. Two phone calls three emails and sitting on hold. Still not resolved!
I got confirmation of booking and the next very day without my consent my booking got cancelled by Agoda and mentioned that booking is cancelled on mg request. Terrible experience where customer is left with no option but to pay more and mentally disturbed.
Never will use Agoda(dot)com in my life again. Such frauds should go begging on Indian streets. At least those beggers have some integrity and they do that for survival.
I had booked two rooms in Chennai and paid thru credit card. To my horror, the property manager did not allow our check-ins. This despite the fact his system had our names and payment details. His problem - he hates Agoda(dot)com because there are some pending payments, which is long overdue. He would have given us accommodation had we paid him directly instead of Agoda. Amazingly, Agoda's so-called customer Care' Indian numbers are all non-functional. I tried calling the UK number too and when the booking ID is entered, the call gets disconnected!
My family and I were stranded until we could arrange for an alternative stay. During this unpleasant & trying times, we missed attending the wedding we had gone for! All of us went so late for the marriage, it seemed that we were there only to show-up we indeed travelled to Chennai from Bangalore.
Agoda is more of a hustler rather than a honest, upfront site.
Typical issues:
- Click somewhere, and the booking dates will be changed
- Remove the Agoda cash redemption
- No clear formula on arriving to a final price
- If I go through travelocity, the prices are lower
You have to be on the alert all the time. It's like dealing with a predator.
It is an excellent place for staying. There is a very beautiful environmen. I was staying there with my famil. There is resturent service is very good. Food peice is very cheap. I love this place very much.
Totally horrible. I accidentally cancel a non-cancellable booking 3 hours after booking, how can it even go? They keep my money and I get no accommodation. Agoda says it will help but me but then blames the hotel for not approving this. I contacted the hotel who absolutely think Agoda should fix it as it was a mistake. Calls Agoda again which says that the hotel again says that the hotel does not approve of this, stop lying and offer some kind of understanding and customer service. They say they understand that they were mistakes. Absolutely horrible customer service and I will never book through the site again.
I booked 2rooms with Agoda... unfortunately they charged me twice and refuse to make a refund saying I confirmed twice... which I absolutely did not
Booked a room with Agoda then within an hour received an Email stating the Room Was Sold out and if I didn't hurry I would miss out as the Gold Coast was 67% Sold Out. Booked another room thought it was resolved, within the next 24 Hours was spammed with 14 emails and another email stating the Room I booked was sold out. Contacts Agoda only to be told I had booked to rooms and I was responsible for payment for both even if I cancelled. There response the Booking system does not know that you booked and the spamming email is separate. Still trying to cancel with Hotel but Agoda are demanding their payment form the Hotel. Agoda are cheap and nasty scammers who will use Misleading statements then hide behind policy. Keep away from them.
I had a hotel booking in Singapore through Agoda and for some reasons I have to cancel the booking becuase of my travel changes. The hotel refund the money but Agoda didnt refund the money instead gave me as Agoda cash. I wanted to use them but after 3 months the voucher is expired. I have lost AU$350. They are unable to extend my voucher because because of system limitations. I am thinking to take them to tribunal. It is my money. Agoda simply have stolen it.

Booked a hotel thu agoda.com after reading reviews and services offered by the hotel paid via credit card got there 2am to be told my booking was canceled took 2 hours. To sort out then things just got bad to worse hotel was no where near what was advertised carpets filthy shower doors broken no hot water and at times no water coming from shower so couldn't shower also advertised daily room cleaning we stayed 7 nights room got cleaned ONCE! Breakfast was horrible no cereal no milk no bread! No transfers even thu it was advertised as having this service no iron for 4 days advertised as having iron in every room 1 iron in whole hotel! Library? Lol 1 shelf with few books! No lugauge service we had to drag our suit cases up 4 flights of stairs again advertised as part of the service! Hot tube in hotel? Nope not even that. Complained to agoda whilst I was there 2nd day thru their website and got no reply come back to uk and rang to complain and emailed all evidence and was told sorry we can't offer you anything nothing can be done! What bull$#*!! Oh I forgot to say sockets not screwed to walls and fire alarm hanging of ceiling! But agoda couldn't give a $#*! they got their commision so nothing else matters. Do not use agoda just look at other reviews terrible company surprised they still running!

You don't know how good or bad a booking service is until things go wrong. Here is my case: I booked appts. In Nuremberg, Germany month before arrival, paid the full price. Just four days before arrival I got message from property owner saying I have to deposit 200 euro as "damages deposit". At this point I can't cancel my booking and get refund as I am not in cancelation free period. The info about deposit was NOT stated either in description or while check out. So this will happen to you completely out of blue. I called support for the case, explained everything but they said they assist me with anything. I contacted property owner and they said THEY NEVER HEARD OF Agoda. Can you believe that? It turns out Agoda acts like a middleman only and they book appts. On your behalf through other services for a fee (like Booking.com in my case). What a great business model though! AND if anything goes wrong you will be left with nothing. Agoda will tell to contact property owner. Property owner will say they don't know Agoda. You will be left with nothing like I was. I lost my money. Never use this service again.
Ruined my birthday booked a hotel they took my money $138 then canceled my reservation without my request or permission. Now I'm 500 miles from home with no extra money to book a room and have to go home instead of enjoy my trip with my wife I worked my $#*! off for because the refund will take 2 days.
Answer: I didn't know that? I have had the best deals from them and I find them very helpful.
Answer: I don't bother making lists just search for where I am going and select the best deal for at least 1 mth before its needed and keep track of prices

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
