I was quoted a price on the phone. Then when I got my bill I realized I was charged too much. Tried to get a refund and just getting BS about "special private rates" That special private rate is higher than the rate available to the public based on my experience. Do not use them!
Got to hotel booked on Agoda. Asked about internet, clerk said it's not working and no idea when wifi will become available I waited 5 hours in the lobby hoping it would come on in that time. Meanwhile I asked Agoda for full refund because I need internet for my work and it's not available as advertised on their booking website. They said they might give me partial and they will send message to another department for my request. I said no, you should give me a full refund because I'm not getting internet as advertised to be available. I said I would give them the lowest review and take my business elsewhere which I did.
This is an unreliable application. No facility to connect with the customer care team if any issue faces other than automated replies. ******* Booking confirmation received money deducted from my account and after that booking was cancelled without any reason. When contacted the property, rude behaviour and asked me to contact the application provider which was impossible as mentioned earlier.
We booked a hotel on toronto through this app and when we went to the hotel, there was no booking. W
The place i booked for a week, i could only stay one night as i came late and had no other option, this place was advertise as a luxury room but looks like a drug house with a shared bathroom, they offer refund of 10% as point at them this is unexpectable, dont book with them they crooks
This is a scam company! Easy to book, it they will NOT cancel your reservation OR refund you at all. They came up with 8 reasons in a 5 hours period. This has been draining. Money hungry company.

This company AGODA are cowboys, I emailed and phoned, was ignored and cut off, eventually I spoke with a broken English girl Vian, she sent a request to cancel. Instantly rejected!

I have booked HENANN PALM BEACH RESORT BORACAY from Agoda, they've processed and approved it week before our flight. We came to the hotel thinking that we already have a room, the receptionist told us that Agoda did not reserve any room for us and their rooms are all booked. They even said that I should be the one to contact Agoda about this because it is not their fault. They gave me an email address to contact them and Agoda did not respond promptly. Both the Henann and Agoda should communicate since they are the ones gaining from our payment and yet they did not even bother communicating with each other. In the end we booked with another hotel and just left without Agoda even fixing our probem. Should have been a nice vacation but Agoda and Henann ruined it for us. The only solution that Agoda gave is a refund but never even bothered how we wasted our time, effort and even money to book another hotel for us to stay. Never book your hotel at Agoda, THEY NEVER CARE.
Even though we faced so many struggle on getting a booked room due to hotels fake address and name misunderstandings eventhough the property (TREEBO ADRAK SUMMER SAND VAGAMON, KERALA) just Abandoned us even we paid the full amount where AGODA atleast helped us to get back the paid money even it delayed to take decision by agoda. And the lady who helped to get back the money for us was really a good employee and an asset for AGODA
Agoda is a broker and don't verify and validate their suppliers. We paid 30% more for room with breakfast and ended up with room only. Customer service offered no help and support, at the end they didn't even bother to respond to our written complaints. We cancelled our subsequent reservation with Agoda and used competitor instead which turned out to be much more efficient and transparent process. I'll never use them again!

Agoda given name of Hotel in their site which actually have no tieup with agoda. I booked at Hotel Shalimar metro kochi and paid to Agoda. But when i called hotel to confirm my booking they said they have no tie-up with them. They already asked manytimes to remove their name from agoda site but they are still taking money from customer and not giving that to hotel. So Technically hotel not getting money. And we are not getting refund from Agoda too.

My experience has been bad. I would suggest to compare the competitive prices on other portals before booking.

Wanted to share my terrible booking experience with Agoda this past weekend as a warning!
My partner and I plans this weekend to spend the night at The Plaza Resort in Daytona Beach with some friends. I booked the room through Agoda and got the confirmation a week in advance. We drove over on Saturday morning, and I went to check in. The hotel had NO information about our reservation in their system. They called their reservation team. The team said Agoda must have not sent it over, and they told me to call Agoda's customer service.
I called their customer service, and the man on the line said he needed to reach out to their "booking partner." And after being on hold for 15 minutes, he said he could not reach the partner and was going to escalate the issue and someone would call me in 30-60 mins.
Two hours goes by, and I haven't received a call. I called them back, and talked to another man. He said he was going to try to get a hold of the booking partner, and again could not. I ended up asking them to refund me because I had spent well over an hour on the phone with them, probably half of that on hold, with no resolution. I asked The Plaza if they could book us but they were entirely full. Every hotel that had availability was double the price we originally paid.
We ended up just going home. Thank God we were only an hour fifteen minute drive from home and not a plane ride away. I'm never booking with Agoda again.
After all of this, the next day Agoda emailed me and asked me if I ever could check in. After telling them no, they gave me $18 "Agoda cash" for the inconvenience. They said it would take 15-30 days to process the refund as well.
Anyways… ALWAYS call the hotel and make sure your third-party reservation went through before traveling. I usually do and forgot this time and it bit me in the behind.
I have booked hotel in rishikesh and they have booked a room and then I cancelled it but they didnot refund my money despite the refund policy very bad experience. I will never book any hotel from Agoda.
Booked 2 bookings with agoda that didnt have the immediate payment option, thought that it would be fine since the amount charged should remain the same right? WRONG.
Ended up being overcharged for both bookings not once, but TWICE - since the first time it happened, i had to receive a call from some guy in hungary(which is suspicious enough by itself pls) and ask for an immediate refund because they just keep pushing their responsibilities around one another
He told me to make payment first, so i did, and he also assured me that all charges would be final without any further changes, apparently their system screwed up and he was 'kind enough to help me process a refund' lol wtf
So the payment was a pending charge, but when i checked in again a few days later it turns out that they decided to hike the amount AGAIN (maybe because they think people are just that stupid not to check their bank account balances?)
Anyways please just avoid this site entirely, theres so much hidden charges that its a living joke to even exist in the first place
Second lady that i talked to didnt care enough to let me speak because she was so concerned with getting her words out, that she just told me to wait in call for another 5 to 7 minutes because she had to 'check an email i sent out to them' like? Who takes that long in the first place unless they're tryna hide away from their responsibilities?
Forget about your refund, after doing your part to cancel timely! Repeatedly lied to me... I documented! Unconscionable!
You notice when i search the same hotel once too many time, and your price go sky high, explain to me why the price difference when I use another device to search
My friends and I stayed at a hotel via Agoda for a couple of weeks and we all gave it a one star - Agoda has not published the review and just hides most of their negative reviews. They should be honest with all their members. It's recommended that you do your own review on the hotels and not rely on Agoda's reviews/ratings.
On 2 March I made a booking through Agoda for one night in a SHA+ hotel in Thailand under the "Test & Go" programme. Somehow, and I did not notice, the system defaulted to 14 nights. The last page before confirmation showed a price that seemed high but ok for the one nigh under the programme. The next page showed I have booked for 14 nights and I could not correct, The booking was made. I called the hotel and Agoda, both were very helpful and cancelled the booking. Agoda promised a full refund and this was shown in my account. Now 47 days, and several promises from Agoda, later no refund. They have stopped answering my queries on this one. I am over $2,000 (Aussie) down on this very bad experience. Does anyone know how to get Agoda to keep its promises made in emails?

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
