No cancellation policy even right after you book and when you enter the card details they don't even ask for the confirmation code straight away deduct the money this is scam called the hotel they had no idea about the booking and cancellation.
We got a booking of hotel done through agoda and paid full amount and when we reach the hotel we got to know that it's sold out to other party. Reàlly disheartened we had to returned back with our family with kid and senior citizens parents. Now just want them to refund our amount and the pain and trouble we went through can't be refunded. Hope to get our money back.
We have booked 2 hotels through Agoda for our 2-week holiday this summer. Upon check in both of hotels told us that we have the cheapest room they've got, while we have paid more premier rooms for specific reasons. One of which was '2 queen beds with twin sofa bed', but we've come to find out that the hotel hasn't even got such rooms.
The second hotel was the same story, we were downgraded to a no-view room, while we've paid for a room with a remixer view for significantly higher price.
What they do to trick you into this is, you book a room that has great features on the booking page and sends you a confirmation email with almost no descriptions of that room you've just booked. So that way the customers will have no proof whatsoever to claim the correct room type they paid for. It's amazing that this company can operate dishonest service like this in social media age. Absolutely disgusting.
They changed the money, and gave me a voucher but didn't book the room. Reached the hotel after an entire day of traveling and the hotel mentioned there was no booking, Agoda didn't send any notification. Waiting outside the hotel, I called Agoda customer service and they mentioned there was no room available, so the booking was unsuccessfull. However, the hotel mentioned they have rooms but they stopped dealing with Agoda because they don't pay. I was on the call with Agoda for hours, they did nothing. It was an extremely frustrating experience, I will never book from Agoda, ever.
I chosed hotel with agora cancel free and when I booked it shows non refundable
I contact agoda and show them the proof it says free cancellation and after I paid it became none refundable thue said u chosed hotel none refundable there are multiple prices and then I show them a proof nothing multiple price accept breakfast even though they didn't do anything for me I didn't want to cancel but what if I want to stay away of these liars, thank u I hope I helped u people out there
Reservation was suppose to be 08/07 when I received Confirmation they had it for 08/08 I immediately called said they would change it they didn't I had to pay for the 7th and they charged me for 8th that I was not there do not trust them
Agoda transactions are posted in foreign currency (FX) which will attract extra card charges. Beware. These are never told at the time of booking.
I ended up paying extra charges even for domestic transaction.
Agoda customer services is super responsive and helpful till booking but once the sale is done, their responses are very curt and dismissive. They are not keen to address concerns and would happily blame other parties (hotels, card cos.) as culprits.

Dear Fellow Travelers, Be aware of Agoda's latest unethical money making scheme. If the relevant hotel booking was made at the local foreign currency, then they use THEIR OWN conversion rate. They charge 12%, (more than double the 5% rate in their Terms of Service). Note that several Agoda customers have been complaining about this unethical practice.
If the hotel is not appropriate place for the accommodation, you lost your money.
In Munich Inn Design hotel, late check-inn after the trip, the room was without conditioning in a super-hot summer with a window right above the Doner Kebab fast-food point which is working until midnight.
If you will have non-refundable booking, but your room is not appropriate for staying, nobody will help you with returning back your money in AGODA.
The corridors smells with smog, sigaretts and Kebab and room was stuffy and impossible to sleep there.
The hotel refused to change the room for two tights (cost is about 80 euro per/night), Agoda is promising to return money back already second week.
Terrible service in AGODA and their agents. IP connection is super bad for calling them in Call centre.
Some of agents tell different things about booking.
Do not RECOMMEND to use AGODA service until they perform their service work/cancelling of the booking of accommodation. Few times it can be ok, but when the problem came they will not support and help you at all and you will stay alone looking for another hotel any time on the street.
I booked for two nights at a hotel but cancelled the second night within 24 hours. Room was dirty- I stopped payment but they assured me they would give me my money back for the 2nd night but 2 months later and I've yet to get my refund! Pretty underhanded if you ask me! I won't use them again that's for sure!
I couldn't change my flight details to add luggage at Agoda and the mail told me to do so at the airlines website. However on the airlines website it said that the flight details can only be changed by my travel agent (Agoda). Unfortunately the agoda customer support didn't answer me and I had to pay a huge fee for my additional luggage as I wasn't able to book it prior to being at the airport. Never gonna book a flight with agoda again.
I made a reservation through Agoda and paid 3 months in advance. 4 hrs before checking in after traveling for 15 hrs, I received an email from Agoda stating that "The hotel was not able to accommodate me" and my reservation was cancelled. Found out from the hotel that they in-fact have many rooms available and they had not gotten a reservation for me from Agoda. I think they sold the room to someone else at a higher cost and lied about the availability at the hotel. I was able to immediately book the same hotel on booking.com which the hotel honored. Shame on you Agoda. I had 2 kids with me and this was at 2am. I panicked! Thanks booking.com for saving me from having to sleep on the road during my well planned vacation. Agoda offered me a cash voucher for the inconvenience but I will not use it as they will not get any more business from me!
I booked through them for an out of state hotel stay. I get to the hotel and they over booked and canceled my reservation. I could not get a refund for 30 days had no place to stay for the night then paid double for another hotel I found in the area. When calling them nobody was understanding me, they offered no help, nothing for in return for their mess up. They had the worst customer service ever and ruined my trip.
I booked a flight ticket thru Agoda at 8.50 am this morning (01. 08. 22)... Amount was paid thru my credit card and I got payment confirmation from bank as well as booking confirmation from Agoda (no *******) with airline reference no. When trying to reserve seat on airline website, by entering the airline reference no given by Agoda, an earlier used ticket of a completed journey pops up (ridiculous, isn't it)... They have sent another email saying booking is not done... We've wasted so much time on this, booking is not done and they've been asking us to wait... We're elderly people and are quite traumatised mentally and physically with their careless attitude. I can't even make another booking because they say that they will not refund money if ticket gets confirmed thru their site (haven't got confirmation till 10.50 pm). I'm quite flustered and helpless despite more than half a dozen calls with Agoda staff who keep quoting their rules and one sided policies.
The customer service representative can not help you. You will get the most horrible rooms for their prices! No no no Refund or room changes or hotel change
This review is for Agoda and for the hotel OYO 422 Jane Homestay and Resort. This hotel closed a year ago and the owner is changed at exactly this address. I booked a room via agoda.com site because it was available for booking and payment was successful. My money were charged. But it was a surprise for me when I arrived at the place with bags in a taxi that there's an ANOTHER hotel now instead of
OYO 422 Jane Homestay and Resort. It was my first experience with using Agoda. Do not recommend anyone such a bad experience with Agoda Because I lost money for accomodation and for taxi. Agoda customer service didn't return money to me. Why such hotels are still available for booking 1 year after closing? Be careful!
Terrible ongoing experience, I booked for my family in lagos, we received the booking confirmation, but when my wife reached the hotel, the hotel declined any knowledge about the booking, the hotel also confirmed they don't deal with agoda at all, I reached agoda customer service, and they started the scripted service, no understanding to what mistake they have done and they tried to cross sell by telling part of my refund will be agoda cash, and hotel has to approve cancelation first, and it will take 30 days! Why?
If I am the one changing my mind or reached late or I did mistake then I will understand, but when it is fully your mistake along with the hotel management who kept their hotel advertised on your website under tie up with agoda where they must not have done that, then it is not my fault, and here you don't apply scripted service, you provide exceptional fast service to recover the damage you have caused.

I have booked a room for 2 adults and 1 kid and agora asked kids age also but at the time of checkin at hotel surprised to see it was booked for only 1 and paid 2000 extra for the room which is not at all worth. Very bad website. Cheating people and came to know from hotel reception that this is a habit of agora
As per our scheduled booking and based on details provided at your website display regarding the hotel cambay sapphire, gandhinagar, we visited on 23rd july 22 at the said hotel property and found below negative review observations, due to which we had to cancel our stay at this property premise and we are not satisfied, details provided at your website regarding this hotel property is false and misguiding, which definitely raises question on your website credibility.
Thus we request you to refund us the entire paid amount to us at the earliest, since we cancelled our stay after visiting this hotel. Due to your incorrect details and false marketing about the property, we have lost our precise time and thus we are entitled for refund.
Summary of negative observations
-As per photos shared at your websites, appears to be very old, the hotel premise is not in good shape and not upto the mark as per photos mentioned at your website
-rooms are dirty and not maintained with basic hygiene not maintained
-your website mentioned they have in house multi cuisine restaurant offering a variety of global foods and cuisines, today when we visited, we came to know that the restaurant is closed since last so many months and they only offer limited basic food as in room dining.
-when we asked them to show us their in house kitchen, they denied, which raises question on this.
-even basic air conditioning in the hotel was not working properly
-the large garden displayed in your website, is no longer operational
-swimming pool shown in your website is also not operational
I had booked a hotel in udaipur through Agoda but due to some crisis there we were not able to go so I asked for a credit extension but i didn't received it neither i have received refund and i have send them many mails regarding this but they are just ignoring me and not giving reply so it's my request to all of you don't do booking through Agoda

Answer: I don't bother making lists just search for where I am going and select the best deal for at least 1 mth before its needed and keep track of prices

Answer: For me as well very bad experience with this site. The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
