My girlfriend has been a loyal customer with AE for years and lately the service has been lack luster. My girl has made two orders recently and AE has dropped the ball both times on getting my girlfriend her orders. They have however offered 15% off and two day shipping on next order which is nice but it's not helping. Get it together AE #Respectfully
Literally the worst experience I've ever had trying to buy jeans, i went into the store to try on they did not have a great selection. I said I would go to another mall to find them as I really wanted them for my birthday. The sales associate promised they would be there by my birthday, that was a lie. The package did say delivered 2 days before my birthday. It was NOT delivered, i have cameras outside my house that notify me when packages arrive and I have never not received a package from anywhere else. The chat people were rude and kept disconnecting when i informed them that the jeans never arrived. They then told me that they refunded me and they could reship them to my house but if they dont show up this time thats my fault and they wont be refunding me, and if i wanted to switch delivery address i would no longer get the free shipping i was promised. I really did like the jeans but they are not worth the hassle or probably not even receiving them. The sales associates are extremely pushy also. Will never be supporting them again

I'm Art from Mexico City and my experience with AE has been always a nightmare, I've starting to think that maybe they're racists because everytime that I need to talk with the staff of customer service they´re very rude, not friendly and they always treat us as if they were doing us a favor or as if we were asking for free clothes and I think that is very wrong, they end the chat or the call even when you're still talking/writing. Apparently they block any purchase from Mexico City because now no one can buy anything from here because they don't let you add your mexican credit or debit card because "there was an unexpected error" and when you finally made it, they cancel it "due to an availability issue or your request.", but when you look again for your product is still there, obviously available. And when you really made it, your package takes several weeks to arrive and when you try to contact them they say that is your fault or your responsability if the package doesn't arrives and there will not be refund of your money if the package get lost in the process. But even with all this nightmare, I really love their clothes, so I'm hoping that maybe one day they change all the staff and the bad attitude against all the people that the only thing that they want is to buy their clothes.
Ordered only 1 thing, "shipped out" 3 days ago. Keep checking the tracking and says there's no details available...
When you order product from American Eagle do not plan on receiving it any time soon. It may take up to a month to receive your product if you even receive it at all. I have the absolute worst time with this store in getting what I order. I believe I am finished with ordering from these guys. Can no longer count on them. I give up - time to move on.
Worst company I have ever deal with. Ordered a jean instead sending me a xxxl shirt, so I called them for a correction, Shehanna in Louisiana helped me with a re-send order, she told me she will credit back 20% more discount due to the trouble, few days later I found she charged me again with more money! This company is so disorganized and employee is so unprofessional.
I ordered from the website & realized after placing the order they were being shipped to the wrong address. I called to have them contact fedex to change the delivery address which the shipper can do with fedex. I was told I would have to deal with fedex myself that they are not responsible. I spoke with 4 different reps & only 1 had any idea of what customer service means. This should have been a simple fix but because ae won't contact fedex with my updated info my package is just out there somewhere. I can't change the address with fedex because I'm not the shipper. I explained this to ae reps but they won't lift a finger to help. So I am done with ae. I'm not sure why people like to create problems where there don't have to be any. Seems pointless. I will be spending my money elsewhere since ae evidently doesn't need it.
I purchased something and wanted to return it the same day and they only gave me back store credit instead of my actual money back.
I love AE clothing. I am saddened to see that they have not taken any steps forward in 1. Reducing pollution and 2. Making sure clothing comes from workers who are paid fair wages/safe conditions. My most recent purchase was underwear and they were from 3 different locations in the world. India, China and Vietnam. Possibly Mexico too. The sewing sadly looked "off" and really made me think about who was making these clothes and how they were being treated. I will no longer buy from here. We all need to do better.
I visited Eagan (Minneasota) outlet Store twice. This time I went on 09/18/2020 around 4:45 pm on Saturday. Both times, Manager didn't let do the checkout on the counter so that other race's people can do checkout on the counters. She asked one of her employee ( Poor 17 years old Andreas) to do checkout for me by taking me on the the side which was very uncomfortable. I am not going to shop in American Eagle at all. There are far better stores to shop where people are real genuine and respectful.
After contacting AE via their live chat feature, Paula, a customer service rep, proceeded to abruptly end our chat. Long story short, I asked why i had to pay to return the jeans I purchased when their website clearly states it's FREE. Her response verbatim "you can return them to a store" followed by some fluff about why it's not free, even though it says it is! Please see my attachment as I took a screen shot of our chat. I can honestly say, I've never been so upset over something so simple that turned into a horriblecustomer service problem. Oh boy American Eagle, you just lost a long time customer who's closet is half full of your product
I like these jeans. Thanks a lot for the perfect quality. Also, I bought jeans for my husband here. Perfect service.
THEY CHARGE $5.00 minimum FOR RETURN -- read small print before you order; Advertised T-shirts as "very soft" but it did NOT say that the fabric is SO THICK, it's like planing to go to the North Pol -- sneaky exclusion of fabric thickness info. I'm punished 2 times with return:
1. Going to the USPS, and 2. CHARGED $5.00 FOR RETURN SHIPPING -- this was the first and the LAST time "flying" with "eagle".
I totally understand that with Corona going on, things will be delayed. Because of corona, I haven't been able to go out shopping in person. Also, because my size (32C) is so hard to find in stores, shopping in person is not as much of an option. I ordered some bras and underwear on May 17. It is currently June 7th and I have yet to even see that they're shipped. I just wanted some bras that fit, but I guess I'll have to wait lol.
Worst retail company I have EVER experienced! This fake corporate greedy chain is living in the dark ages! Placed an order with this store the clothing is beyond cheap and not one item was as pictured online. If you have to send clothing back there's NO paperwork or instructions on how to do so inside the package, the instructions are very vague on their website. They explicitly said to drop it off at the post office which I did and got charged almost 13$! They refused to refund my return! They do not listen, or care to resolve anything. It's your tough crap have a nice day! Save your time and money and use better customer friendly services that have SIMPLE AND FREE RETURNS! They won't bat an eye screwing you over!

I've shopped at AEO for a long time! I can't tell you how many times I've ordered products from their website and I've almost always loved what I've received. Overall, the experience is pretty positive in terms of shipping. I always get my order on time. I do think that shipping items separately is a bit odd, I would prefer to have all of my items all at once as opposed to one or two things at a time but it's no biggie. As a 5'9 woman, it is difficult finding a decent pair of jeans that actually fit but at AEO there are so many different options to chose from and I absolutely adore their mom jeans.
One thing to note, if you aren't familiar with your jean sizing my advice is always measure yourself and compare those measurements to the measurements listed for the item because oftentimes their jeans all fit differently. Another thing to note is just how large everything runs. I'm more thick on the bottom so I typically wear an M/L on the top but I don't ever usually buy a large in anything AEO because almost all of their tops run really big, especially Aerie items.
I've heard/read mixed reviews when it comes to the quality of their jeans. I will admit their stretchy jeans aren't made of the most amazing-gonna-last-you-a-million-years type material but I don't mind because at least they're stretchy! I've purchased mom jeans that are just regular denim and I've had no issues with tearing or anything like that. The color of black jeans does fade over time but I think that's inevitable.
I will continue to purchase AEO jeans as they're the only ones that fit me well! I love their products and have never had a negative experience shopping with them.
I bought some boxers for my kids that costed a total of 56. The big surprise came when the Fedex representative that brought the parcel made me pay 29 in border taxes. I leave in Spain. I did not receive any alert when I was placing my order, and my confirmation email did not say a word. I complained to customer service and they said that their general terms and conditions state that any taxes must be payed by the customer. In the moment I was complaining there was a big banner in American Eagle website stating that they cover any import taxes. How a bran can be so cynical. Dear sirs in Amercan Eagle I've lost 29, but you have lost much more that a customer.
I order from this company at least once a month and just love the products they have! The only time I encountered an issue is when I ordered a candle and it came broken into pieces. The representative I spoke with was helpful and kind. Their products are so cute and stylish and the prices are very affordable. Have always, and will continue, recommending others to this company.
