We lost our home to a fire in July of 22. ADT has continued to send us bills even after mant calls to them explaining our situation. Now they have a collection agency harassing us. Insult to injury. Very poor business practice management. I guess I need to mail them the melted equipment.
I left 5 stars but the installer wasn't really clear on anything. Next day I had a problem installer said he'd be here in 5 minutes. I'm still waiting
I was offline for over 10 years and did not know it. They do not care about your security, as they do not check to see if you are connected EVER. It is all your responsibility though you pay them every month.
If you have dropped your landline, please make sure you have gotten a cell signal option from them.
If you have a code "FC" showing on your keypad it means that there isn't a connection to ADT and NOONE is coming to help you when the alarm goes off.
Over priced for modern bad customer service tried to cancel my contract. Several times said I didn't do it in time we automatic renewal every year and get monitoring insurance for half the price now they charge $75 to come out even with full warranty do not do business with ADt
These people are not in the customer service at all I called them and they started asking me about my name and phone numbers and address put me on hold for about few minutes then another person started asking my name and phone and address put on hold waiting about 25 minutes no answer then I had to hang up because I was on lunch break I couldn't wait any more. Data rating is the bad one point something means I'm not the only one complaining about customer service.
I have been a customer with ADT since Feb 2015, as of today I am no longer a customer. For the past 8 months none of my equipment has worked. Techs would be scheduled and not show, or when they did show, like yesterday, the half assed their job. Nothing still is working. So, when I found out the tech, Daniel, from yesterday did not do what he was supposed to, I called ADT. I was going to cancel yesterday, but spoke with Sheila from the Account Management Dept. She told me I had all of these wonderful upgrades for free and she was shocked no one has brought that to my attention. Fast forward, I am getting a whole system upgrade, installation, and activation free. New tech, Jonathan, comes out today, and wouldn't you know, everything Sheila told me was complete BS. I owe $1,000.00 for the equipment and whatever else charges they were trying to get out of me. I, of course, had to call ADT again, this time I get Netauri, from Account Management, and she is wonderful. She is doing everything she can to help, and she did get me a pretty good offer, but I would have to sign another 36 month contract. Okay, whatever you are offering me a good deal, but then here it comes, I have to pay for an activation. I have been a customer with ADT for 8 years, and they lost my business today because they wanted me to pay for another activation fee of $99.00, so that another tech could come out and replace all of the equipment that has not worked in months. I would not recommend ADT to anyone if they were last security system on this planet.
System stopped working still kept charging me for 6 months and customer support team is extremely rude.
My cameras failed most of the time.
When I called to cancel they still charged me an extra billing cycle and wouldn't credit me for it. Spoke with supervisor Camilo and was a jerk wouldn't let me speak to anyone higher than him.
Had the worst experience EVER trying to cancel our ADT service over the phone! The woman on the phone named Rosalin kept pushing and pushing and PUSHING for us to stay with them. We had to literally beg for her to cancel the service! Her behavior literally felt like harassment! I could not believe it! Stand firm when canceling. It's BS that a person has to beg and get angry to cancel a service that no longer suits them. Absolutely unbelievable and unprofessional service!

If I can leave 0 stars I would was transferred several times to simply clarify the orders under my so call free installation and repeated my issue at hand simply to be transferred finally asked for the Floor manager Tasha and she was extremely rude and refused to help yet spent all her time making excuses and argumentative as I simply wanted the issue at hand clarified and taken care off I gave them a second chance just to simply mess up again

If they could have no stars they would! They tell lies, sell you terrible product and the service and customer service suck! They even steal your money your on auto pay they take what ever amount they want to out on what day when you finally speak to someone their answer is we will credit your account! After their faulty equipment kept failing I canceled my service I prepaid month ahead they cut off my alarm system that night after being told I had a month, the same day I canceled my account at the bank because I am smart sure enough a month later they sent a statement saying this ( See attached) they tried stealing money out over and over starting the next day in amounts of over $ 1,200.00. This is illegal who wants to go in on a class action lawsuit against this place I am so tired of this company! Sounds like they have sucked alot of us!
I waited over two hours to cancel my service. And once I cancelled it, they will continue to charge me until my billing cycle ends. Horrible customer service and integrity
I've contacted them numerous times to have my camera's set back up after months of being offline.
Requested they update my contact number (Haven't done it yet).
Asked for assistance, only to be told only option is virtual having me do all the leg to service it myself.
Can't remove the service because I've got 2 months out of several years of my contract left.
Only thing this company has been consistent in is requesting that I renew my contract that I would have never signed up for knowing that my cameras only capture half a month for $70 a month and to find they will end up giving up on servicing my camera's.
Now only option is my virtual assistant call that I'm currently trying to get through to, because they have my wife's number and specifically requested they call my phone. Now my 2 day in advance "virtual" appointment isn't going to happen because they won't update the info for me.
What a complete waste of money and time. Sure can't wait for the 2 months to go by so I can forgive and forget ADT for good. Thanks for nothing guys.
Put an ADT security system in my home 3 months ago. Due to my work, I wanted peace of mind while away on regular business trips out of town. I received a alarm of possible intruder, but ADT could not send any one but a police out to walk around the house. I was on a plane landing in Denver when I got the alarm.
ADT would not go out to my home without me bring present at thr house? 2 weeks later when I got home, an ADT tech came out to find a sensor was not installed properly, therefore triggering a false alarm.
This weekend, both my garage and doir cameras did not record any history for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today, (Monday). When I called tech support, Robert he informed Mr that their recent merger with Google, they have no remote access to my system or cameras. I need to be home for a tech to be sent out to check my cameras on the outside of my home?
A security system main use is for when you are away from home. ADT does not function in that way. It is purely for the housebound customer. I will not be putting it in my other 2 homes because it is a boat anchor that I am paying a huge amount for. Blink works great in my relatives homes. I will be making a change soon.
Called ADT and talked to Andre who informed me that my door sensor would be free to replace. Once I was directed to customer service was informed that sensor would $100 PLUS increase of $1.00 monthly added to bill. What a joke! Looking for another security system!
They come install. Rush to get out without properly testing and then refuse to service. 2023 RIPOFF
This is the absolute WORST alarm company of all time. We used ADT Blue and when we moved residences our hub wouldn't connect. Despite countless hours on the phone with their outsourced customer service we were unable to connect and paid for service for months with ZERO connection and no one I spoke with at ADT had a shred of concern that we were paying for a service we weren't receiving. When I finally got so fed up I had to cancel service they refused to waive the cancellation fee and charged me $1,500 unless I agreed to stay with ADT. Don't waste your time, money, or energy on this awful organization.
I've had ADT for about a year. I have problems with a security company that sends me an email asking if I accidentally set off the alarm or do I need help. And every time I call they cant find my account. But every time they fix that. When I call because something doesn't work, they can only fix it for a fee. Or remote call repairs, if I was 20 that might work for me. I had a door bell camera installed for my mothers security, it cost me a fortune and rarely works always going down. And no they will not refund your money that you had to pay to have it installed. And will let you know you have a contract and they will hold you to it. If the come knocking on your door, slam it in there face and lock the door. If you have ADT get a lawyer, because they will not honor anything they tell you. A one star rating is very high for the service you get.
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
Answer: No $60 call out service charge anytime there are any issues including dying batteries.
Answer: Don't go with ADT, the worst company I've ever dealt with.
