I went to 42nd Street Photo to buy a compatible quick release rifle plate for my Al AXMC Rifle. James is a very enthusiastic optics and electronics engineer. He suggested a Really Right Stuff with great joy. Nice, premium and professional finish. When I setup my rifle there with this base, I was very excited. This plate offers a perfect balance point for mounting the rifle directly to a ball mount. The other staff were very friendly as well as starting from the Lady at the info desk to the other sales associates. You can shop for all types of bases & mounts for modern weaponry. You can also find lots of cool riflescopes, sights and accessories at the store. I do recommend to shooters who use a tripod like me.

This is my first Sony a7 iii I purchased new from 42ndphoto. I'm a videographer and I absolutely love this camera. 42ndphoto makes it a substantial deal by including a kit with many handy items with the camera. I am a week into the possession of this beast of a camera. Picture quality from this camera is sublime, even with straight jpegs right out of the camera. This purchase was my first experience with 42nd Photo Video and they have been superb. I look forward to many years of great service from this camera and an incessant relationship with 42ndphoto.

Probably the best store in the entire Manhattan for rare and vintage 35mm film cameras. Their selection of collectibles is legendary and their service impeccable. If you are a true analogue photo lover then this is the place for you. They also buy used cameras and lenses, and in the two instances where I have done so they have given me fair prices and got through the process very quickly. I cannot speak more highly of 42nd Photo.

Purchased my A7s iii at 42nd Photo, 3/5/2021. Jonathan, my sales rep, christened it Low-Light King! Highly anticipated, much appreciated, incredibly thankful to have one. If you're serious about getting into video and also taking photos, this is a top tier option. As a wedding and event videographer I need a camera that works great in low light and records without time limits. This fits the bill. Great video right out of the box. 42nd Photo continues to lead the charts in retail of videography cine cameras and brings to life the vision a filmmaker has. Thx 42nd Photo my first camera purchase and I'm extremely happy hopefully I can pick up 1 for my daughter in the near future.

When I collected the camera Jonathan was enthusiastic about my intentions with the camera and discussed full-frame cameras with me. I have been extremely happy with my interactions with Jonathan and now follow his projects on YouTube channel. The Alpha a7c is an amazing camera.

I ordered a cable for my DSLR and the Sennheiser MKE200. Order arrived in about a couple of days. Unfortunately, the cable shipped was the wrong one. Customer service was very quick, within a couple hours, in resolving my issue. They checked with their audio rep for stock, but it was no longer available. I was issued a refund for the cable. The microphone is working like a dream. Overall my experience was very engaging.

I'm a nature photographer and filmmaker, I ordered a Leica SL2-S as a travel companion. Store is loaded to the roof with all manner of Leica, SL, TL, CL, Q and M lineups in clear presentation. Staff breath and exhale Leica, it's a high-end atmosphere with eye-popping prices, but for a pro, it's worth the price. I bought this SL2-S to steer clear of technicalities and focus on wildlife. It's rugged and built like a tank to brave harsh elements with it's all-metal body. 4K Video and superior low light performance up to ISO 100.000 the Leica SL2-S delivers outstanding results even in the most demanding situations. Store is a literal Mecca for Leica photographers and videographers!

I've had this Burris Optics 2-7x32 for about two weeks now and what a delight. Purchased this scope recently, mounted it on top my Marlin 1895GBL 40x50. Scope was a great addition to my scout rifle. Easy to focus and sight in at the range. The sight picture at all resolutions was crisp and bright. There was no distortion around the edges and the retical was distinct from the subject. Magnification adjustment was slick and simple to operate with a thumb. All in all a great addition to my Scout rifle. I would purchase another riflescope here in the future.

Vortex Razor HD 11-33x50 scope provides very clear optics. I selected this brand a model for it's size and optics. The optics in this scope is sharp and crystal-clear through the zoom range. The light weight and small size are great for travel and hiking into remote wildlife areas. The only downside, in my opinion, is the apparent vulnerability of the focusing knobs to accidental impacts, even light ones. Im already trying to design a protective shield to prevent breakage in normal use. In general, Im very pleased.

My recent order of Canons EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens was processed very promptly by 42nd Photo. A great and versatile lens that takes beautiful images. This lens is great for all types of photography - portraits, stills, product, travel and more. I would highly recommend 42nd Photo for this type of a lens as a first pro supplier for anyone with a camera compatible with Canon's EF lenses. This relatively fast (f/2.8) zoom lens is of excellent build quality, provides for very sharp images, and is of ideal focal length range for everyday use for various applications. That aside the build quality and optics of this lens are top shelf.

Don't buy anything from them, it's scam. I got ripped off. They sell new cameras on their Parkavevideo.com website but send you a used camera. When you cancel your order they don't want to refund you. They wants to take 20% off the price. When you call them, they put you on hold and hang up on you. They are thieves. Take a good look at their site; they cross out the price to simulate a discount and give exactly the same price below. I bought a Sony A9 from them for $ 2879. After 6 days without news (normal they are waiting to collect your money), I call them to ask for news of my order. The guy on the phone tells me it's a display model. I told him I've buy a new. I told him that it is absolutely noted nowhere. On the website it'swrite "condition new". He tells me that I receive the device the next day. Understanding that I got scammed, I send an email immediately to cancel my order. In return I receive the UPS link for sending my package. I call them several times in vain. They put you on hold and hang up. I receive the camera a few days later. No original box. To try to coax you, they give you a small protective pouch. I'll check the camera counter. It has more than 12,580 photos already on the clock. I try to find an amicable solution with them to avoid suing them and called my lawyer. They hang up on him. He writes them they never unanswered letter. As I will not give up because it is out of the question for me to be ripped off in this way (I saved a long time to pay for this camera) I will get in touch with the fraud and consumer protection departments to denounce them. And I will file a scam complaint.

I was amazed with my experience buying a D7500 from 42nd Street Photo, NY City. James sales associate reached me by phone, very respectful and very professional. He listened very carefully all of my needs and found the best camera. I am impressed with excellent service of making sure that I get the best deal and DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR for landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, and interior shooting.He then provided shipment/ tracking number updates constantly. Thank you for being so efficient and having such a positive attitude. As long as you are there, I will definitely shop with you & recommend my family and friends to shopping with you before going elsewhere.

Family run stores still seem to have an edge over corporate stores because of the level of service - and that's why i like to spend my time and money at 42nd PHOTO. Phenomenally helpful staff. I felt comfortable popping in and asking questions. Genuinely learnt a couple of basic things about some products I was working with. I've felt in other Camera stores that I can get judged for not knowing the right words. This was not the case here. I genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough.

Super helpful and informative staff, friendly atmosphere felt as all staff were photographers. The shop is very nicely laid out. Brands have their designated areas, so it's easy to navigate if you are looking for a specific product. Personally, I needed Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 II MC lens, a salesman was close by and could instantly tell I was in need of more information after paying attention to a particular product for a while. He was very approachable and seemed genuinely interested in my needs. This gentleman let me try out a host of rangefinder lenses from such as Meyer-Optik Gorlitz, Voigtlander, TTArtisan and Mitakon Zhongyi. Literally the best camera shop I found in Manhattan.

I've bought a Celestron NexStar 130 SLT and Meade Series 5000 15mm eyepiece from these guys. I honestly can't thank them enough for the time and patience I received being new to the astronomy scene. I had a lot of questions that were answered in depth. My telescope works an absolute treat and the astronomy rig is flawless. I'll be returning for sure in the near future.

The place to go for your photography needs - especially if your focus is analog photography. The staff at 42ND PHOTO is very knowledgeable, friendly & accessible. Their prices are great & their inventory is well stocked. I got all my darkroom chemistry there last summer. I ordered Chromogenic C-41film from them in 1 JAN 2021 & they had it shipped to me right away so I was able to keep working during the Festive Season. When I lived in New York I shopped there all the time & when I visit, I make sure to stop in for some film & anything else I maybe looking for.

I ordered a H6D-100c off 42nd Street Photo and am very happy with their service. James checked in with me over the telephone shortly after placing the order to ensure the order was flawless and I got everything I wanted. I followed up with him after doing a bit of research and added some accessories. He was really helpful describing the different Hasselblad series and the benefits or drawbacks of certain ones. They shipped the order the same day and I got it next business day. I'd recommend 42nd Photo and will use them again for future purchases. Cheers

Over the years I bought multiples high-end cameras and quality lenses and other accessories at the best prices and the best services. I highly trust them and i consider myself as a Locally-bred independent and Unbiased reviewer and as a result of many years experience I highly Recommend 42nd Photo and their staff. No camera store in Manhattan comes close to the level of 42nd Photo in my opinion
