I purchased a new Nikon D850 camera from 42nd street photo, since they had the best price I could find on the net. My order was placed on Friday evening and On Tuesday morning I received a confirmation call and it was delivered the following day. The camera is lightweight and powerful. This is my 5D Mark IV is excellent as expected. The software kit probably won't get much use. But the addition of the extra batteries and SD card make the package very attractive and I'm glad I bought this. 42nd Photo's Loyalty discount was a nice bonus. This camera and the bundle that came along with it came at the lowest cost through 42nd PHOTO. Plus the 42nd Photo bundle had more to it. This is the reason why 42nd PHOTO is our primary go to, for our photo video needs.

Based on BBB reviews and my own experience they list cameras on the site at hundreds lower, customers order the camera.

Then they email you and say you ordered the international version (nothing on the site suggests that) that doesn't have the same features and "won't work". You can upgrade to the domestic version for $300 ($100 higher than other stores).

This is what happened to me, I told them to cancel the order, he said there would be a 5% charge. I told him I would refute the charge.

In the end no charge was made at all - so they are just wasting time and trying to make money by scamming and lying to people without being flagged by banks etc.

Avoid the headaches and don't support these people.

Bought this premium package back in December 2021 from 42nd Photo - the Hasselblad X1D II 50C with the XCD 21mm Hasselblad's ultra wide-angle lens. Great camera and kit. In fact, it has so many features that I find it perfect for landscape and architecture photography. Everything in the kit is useful, especially the 2 quality lenses that will meet most of your needs. Even the case is top notch. Overall a solid value. I have never been unhappy with a purchase from 42nd Photo.

I recently ordered my new Sony ZV-1 camera on Tuesday online and it was delivered two days later. I just started a YouTube channel and this camera is perfect and ideal for my content creation, I've tried many cameras for my channel and I have finally found one that does the job for me. I've had the camera just over a week and the footage captured by this camera is so good that I don't need to edit much of my videos any more. Very happy with the camera and I will not hesitate to purchase more accessories from 42nd street Photo. They've got Great prices and outstanding communication. Cannot recommend them highly enough. 5 Stars+

BEWARE - ordered online a Nikon 55-300 lense. Was given story that the one I ordered wasn't compatible with my d3200 and he had only one in stock that would work - $180 more than the other. Arrived in a non- Nikon box with no receipt and no product warranty or spec book. DO NOT USE

I heard about 42nd street photo from a colleague and the moment I stepped into the store I think I fell in love with It. I was looking for a Mirrorless Camera and the guy who helped me was really knowledgeable and super helpful. He was more than willing to answer my questions and suggested a Sony a7S III camera; I was really reluctant to buy this camera. But when it came to specs and the price, this was clearly a better deal at a steal of a price and I will be back to buy more accessories for my camera.

BEWARE! Sells gray market Canon products. Can not be registered for Canon warranty. If you buy online he will call you the next day and ask if you know that you are buying an international model. Of course you don't because nowhere on his website does it say that. Will offer you a US model for a couple hundred more dollars. If you are dumb enough to agree (smh) he still sends you the gray model that can't be registered with Canon. He throws in a useless extended warranty from a company that gets worse reviews than he does. He has a line of BS a mile long. I imagine he has been getting away with this for a long time. BEWARE!

This Canon EOS C100 Mark II is a very solid camera right here. Well built with lots of features. I particularly like the built in ND filters, I found it super helpful when filming outside. Just a fantastic piece of equipment. Worth every red cent. 42nd PHOTO had the camera to me in a matter of days. Would highly recommend!

Panasonic products are well designed, easy to use and the best in the market. We love the HC-V770 Camcorder. I love the clarity and different features of the camera brings. As far as 42nd st photo goes they went above and beyond to get me the best pricing possible even after it went on sale. It goes a notch higher to show how to nurture good customer relations.

Minolta CLE collector's item camera

42nd PHOTO purchased my much-loved Minolta CLE film camera at a price I was happy with (shame about the lenses - both returned to me as showing fungal growth). The whole process was efficiently and well done, and courier service excellent. Thank you.

My initial impression of the store is very positive. I will primarily use this RF 100-500 f 4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens to shoot wildlife so to have a lens with that much reach that is relatively light is a pleasure. The very knowledge staff and hyper efficient purchasing system means you get in and check out with what you need like a bat out of hell! I've been visiting 42nd Photo for more than 30 years and always go back because they have evolved with the times and are still the best.

Visited 42nd PHOTO, NY today to pick up a new Leica 2.5-15x50 Amplus 6i Riflescope and couldn't be happier. Great selection on Leica riflescopes, red dot sights and general accessories. The guys working were super friendly and provided great customer service. Binoculars are available here as well. A great local business providing service to the people of Manhattan and all of New York state. Give these a guys a look for your next optics related purchase, you won't be disappointed.

I recently purchased a Canon EOS 1DX with 2 lens, whole kit and caboodle from 42nd PHOTO via the website and I am amazed by the fantastic polite and professional service that I received from start to finish. I am delighted with my purchase which was at an excellent price. Very highly recommended and I now intend to visit hopefully by next summer.

On their website they have great prices. Once you place a order they send a email stating they need to talk to you regarding your order.My camera price was around $1500, great deal. They called and said, that is the "International Version" with no warranty. My price shot up $500 more. I sent a email and inquired about a SD card, not to place a order but only ask. Apparently they store your credit card information WITHOUT your consent and in checking my bank account they charged me $200 for a SD card without my permission. Although they have a great selection, ship fast, be aware of how they do business.

I liked my new Leica M 10 R and 50 mm Leica lens so much that I immediately bought this 35 mm lens as well. The lenses pair perfectly with the fabulous M10R. The f-stop and focus rings are smooth as silk. The images are terrific. I would do this again. 42ND photo is the best. Great customer service and knowledgeable professional personnel.

Well as the headline reads I'm forever a customer to 42nd PHOTO, I order the Nikon Z6 Filmmakers' kit and couldn't be any happier. Great bundle came with everything as listed for a great price. I ordered it Monday night and literally received it the next day from across the country excellent customer service and always high quality items with the best prices. Currently looking for a lens and guess where I'm going to buy it. 42nd PHOTO. As for the camera well if your looking to buy it you already know what your getting the best. More than enough for a beginner.

Well, I took a photography class many many moons ago. I remember I liked it. We even had a dark room and developed our out pictures. Well, since then I've always wanted a big camera just never had the time or money. These guys made it easy for me to say yes. As the lowest price and best customer service, I got my new a7. So I'm getting the hang of it but so far I love the quality and the definite (unknown yet) potential. Highly recommend this camera shop.

Decided to visit 42nd PHOTO to buy a 10mm F2.8 fisheye lens for my om-d e-m10 mark iv and let me tell you, out of all the camera stores I've visited, I've never felt so at comfortable right off the bat. I was greeted by James and he was super sincere and genuine about his camera store. No covert sales efforts, just honest people trying to help you in your photographic pursuits. I definitely recommend this place to any level of photographer/cinematographer.

I purchased a camera and some gear a week ago to work on a project. I went in store and spoke to the sales person that was there and talked about the items and what I was looking for. Brought my items and got home and realized the camera was in a white color instead of the black color I asked for in store. Not a big deal, I would just exchange it for the one I wanted. I then check online and I figured out I paid $899 for a camera that cost around $600-$700. I was upset but saw on their website that there is a refund policy within 10 days of purchase. Well I got back today to return the item and I'm told by the same person who sold it to me that there is no refund policy AT ALL. He also causally mentions that he sold me the more expensive item as the white camera costs more than the black. He insisted that the store only did exchanges or store credit but nothing else. This place is a scam and I'm putting in a compliment with BBB.
