Great service and fit for custom wheelchair

We worked with Lisa Stapley in summer of 2020 on a custom TiLite Aero Z wheelchair for my daughter. She listened and was very helpful with suggestions based on things we liked and did not like about past wheelchairs. The virtual fitting and customization process worked great (in fact, better than some of our in person fittings in the past).
The wheelchair frame came very well packed and we only had to slide some pieces into their pre installed mounts (armrests & antitip bars). We were kept up to date with anticipated arrival for the seatbelt, cushion and seatback, which arrived separately. The only ‘fiddly' parts we had to install were the seatback mounts - mostly measuring. Lisa was very helpful and patient with sending information and looking at pictures of our daughter in the chair to help us get the best fit.
The seat cushion was a very unusual custom size and the company It was from made an error in fabricating it. Lisa worked as our go-between to return it and get it made correctly.
This past week, we saw our daughter's Physical Medicine doctor and a seating specialist for the first time since getting this chair. The both felt the fit of the chair was great and were amazed we had done it thru a totally virtual process. They had no suggestions to improve the fit!

We ordered a Featherlight Wheelchair on 8/16/21. I was told at ordering it would be shipped the following week. When I hadn't received notification of shipping a couple days after it should have shipped, I called. "Your wheelchair is not in our warehouse. We don't know when to expect them." I waited almost 3 weeks and called again. "The wheelchair is in the warehouse. It just needs to be inspected and should ship out no later than Friday." Called the following Wed. "Your wheelchair is not in our warehouse." REALLY!?!? I know the shipping is messed up right now, but tell me the TRUTH! You either have a training issue, an inventory mismanagement issue, or something. NOT happy!

Still waiting for wheel chair 3 weeks after order.

I am still waiting for a featherweight wheelchair ordered over 3 weeks ago. After repeated requests, I have not gotten a confirmed ship date or a notice it will be delayed. If you order a wheel chair you need it. This is not like a pair of pants that you can get by if the shipment is delayed.

I ordered the featherweight wheelchair while preparing for a trip. Asked for prompt delivery, 3 weeks later, it arrives without requested travel bag. Called everyday & was promised overnight delivery of bag. Travel time is here, still no delivery.

Sunrise Medical Quickie

My wife loves her new wheelchair. She needs to be in it when she is not in bed. The fitted chair is much more comfortable than her previous one. Lisa Stapley was very helpful in sizing it and choosing the perfect seat cushion. Thank you Lisa

Wrong parts shipped

After they sent the wrong part three times for my 2-year-old wheelchair... I finally broke down and bought a new one from them at a discount of course... This whole scenario took over three and a half months whilst I paid over $1,500 for a rental wheelchair... Then the wheelchair I had bought apparently they had changed the design to a static footrest that you cannot move out of the way to be able to get in or out of the wheelchair therefore making it absolutely useless! 5 months now still fighting still in a rental wheelchair and I'm out over $2,000! Stay far away from this company! First pick is the stupid one they sent me, when you pull the bar footrest up it's higher than the seat that you're sitting in so you can't get out. The second pick is the actual picture on their website of what I was supposed to get!

No credit for return

Purchased a wheelchair for my husband following back surgery. By the time it was shipped we realized he would not need it. When it arrived, I opened the box to make sure what I ordered was in the box, then called to get a return authorization. I sent it back promptly using their instructions. UPS tracking shows it was returned 3 weeks ago. I have called twice about seeing the credit on my payment method. Both times their response has been, "it is being inspected" and you should see a credit withina couple days. No credit has been issued. I already have to pay a 15% re-stocking fee and the purchase price was over $500. Poor customer service. L

A lifechanger

My wife and I are old and not strong and I have been wheelchair bound for a year. This wheelchair needed no assembly and then we found it so light that my wife can get it in and out of the car. So we can now travel without assistance. Thus, a life changer for us.

Our petite mom needed a wheelchair short enough for her 4 foot 8 inch height and strong enough for her ~150 lbs, to replace her current high mileage chair. No one seems to make a wheelchair like this except Invacare. And very few companies carry this brand of wheelchair. 1800 did. Most importantly, their website was easy to navigate and build her a 'clone' from the menu selections. We were about to order the chair and Covid entered the picture. We put the brakes on the purchase, and picked up on it 6 months later. There was an issue with one part not matching what had been ordered, but it was put right. Lisa and July were my tireless go-to people with questions and coordinating. By the nature of it being custom, non-refundable, not covered by insurance and needed during a pandemic it had stressful purchase written all over it out of the gate, but was made ever so much easier by the competent 1 800 folks behind the scenes. The chair itself is high quality, rock solid, adjustable, well balanced, a beautiful blue-black pebbled high quality paint job, with electrostatic welds and smooth joints, The Invacare brand makes Drive pale in comparison. Thanks 1 800 Wheelchair. Our mama bear is happy.

Dont buy extras

Got a wheelchair from them. They delivered promptly but my issue is they charged me for an extra item that was part of the wheelchair package. Plus the anti-tippers did not match the wheelchair. The package was sealed so I know they did not put the anti-tippers in separately. Plus the anti-tippers were in a separate box that included the footrests and that was sealed too. They are a little shady.

We all worry about our loved-ones and want them to be healthy, happy and secure. A big part of a person's life is mobility and when that is compromised it is a major hardship. To be able to get out of the house and interact with others, get to doctor appointments and go to the grocery are all things we take for granted. But when you can't walk you need help. That is where an electric scooter is the lifeline to the outside world. If it breaks down you are in trouble.
Lisa and the staff at 1800wheelchair.com have been amazing. Great communication, great advice, competitive pricing and they really seem to care. We are so pleased that we called them for a quote and to order a Pride Wrangler scooter. Their competition needs to learn a lesson from them on how to treat customers.

Peace of mind

They have reliable products and good pricing. I take comfort in knowing I can buy KN95 masks for myself and my special needs child to wear when we are out in the community or when he is at school. I was having trouble getting the proper front casters to my wheelchair until I reached out to 1800wheelchair.com for assistance. July-Ann Barcelo got everything sorted out real quick, no B. Steel transport chair

Transport chair arrived as scheduled. We are glad we decided to purchase this chair because of the sturdiness and comfortability... Our son does a lot of outside activities and this is the chair that he chose also because of the wheels being both the same size it is a lot easier getting in and out of doorstops in various buildings. This chair comes highly recommended..

I would like to commend Sylvia, who helped me yesterday with my order of 2 extra wheels for a wheelchair (that I bought from you in March 2019 but unfortunately arrived damaged via a following shipment to Venezuela). When I explained that the person in need of the wheelchair could not use it until the new wheel was ordered, Sylvia was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable and quickly helped me find the correct wheels.
