Outstanding
March 28, 2020

I recently had an opportunity to attend a house inspection that was coordinated by Joyce Fritz a realtor with PMZ. I have bought and sold many homes both in California and out if state. I have dealt with many inspectors and realtors over the years. In my opinion I have never seen the expertese and care I recently experienced with Joyce and her team. Joyce thinks of everything and puts her clients at the highest priority as she would her own family. She had a team of inspectors at the house that went through the house as thoroughly as I have ever seen, and I have impeccable standards. For these reasons I can reccamend Joyce and her team without reservation. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Connie Howells

Poor Zesitmates
March 17, 2020

Zillow lets a computer run their system and they can't change anything. The comparable houses they used aren't near my house and don't look anything like my house. They also go by the Tax assessed value which doesn't take into consideration to improvements to my home. It's making it very difficult in trying to sell my home.

Bizarre Business
March 3, 2020

Zillow made a significant ad mistake.
There was no customer service whatsoever. Multiple attempts with their own report link and calls (always voice mail). It was never fixed. They removed the real estate ad. That was their fix

I used to love Zillow when the site started. But now it is becoming a predatory internet scam site. We have rentals and are always full because we have such great prices, so I was shocked when I recently posted a rental on Zillow and they placed an estimate 30% below our rental price. I contacted them asking to change their assessment and even gave them comps in the area showing that we were well priced and got a lame response about their algorithms. I tried repeatedly to show them they were wrong and nothing happened. Back to Craigslist I guess!

Zillow's guidelines do not permit reviews of realtors that you may deal with and either reject or deal with indirectly, such as a realtor selling a home nearby (who may create problems for nearby homes) or one who acts unethically or unfairly when representing the other party to your real estate transaction. Their rule seems to be do not comment on a realtor unless they represented you directly and you happy with them. No wonder so many realtors, buyers, sellers and renters di not take Zillow's ratings and data seriously. In short, they only accept biased ratings.

I have tried to communicate with Zillow over a sudden, unreasonable, contra-neighborhood, contra-City, contra-comparable houses huge drop in value they put on our house "within one month". I'm a mandated reporter in an elder abuse and vulnerable adult abuse case. The case just ended before this happened. Fraudulent real estate transactions were shown to be involved. Could it be that Zillow is being used/paid by realtors to fraudulently make claims against me now through a real estate online company?! I have sent proof of the graphs, and more. Their response? They changed the drop to a little less But still improbable for 1 month, especially when all other homes went up (what "complex calculation" did that follow?) and then took the picture of our home down. Am I being coerced and threatened as a mandated reporter for the vulnerable adults in the real estate schemes causing so many to lose their homes and monies? The greatest growth in homelessness the past 2 years? Our CA elderly.
Beware of realtors who suggest or show hospice on their blogs, or encourage you to learn about hospice for your elderly parents. Corruption abounds.

Several lawsuits have been filed against zillow for their estimate of houses. I have been told by Zillow that they "go on algorithms" without even seeing a house. Many realtors and other businesses have fought this because zillow has many other problems by owning other websites that question antitrust laws. Zestimate is often wrong a lot of the time and interferes with home buyers and sellers alike. It seems this has influenced all of us when we look at this estimate of a house. Guilty.

After several emails and showing all the houses around us that are $60k over ours and we have more sq footage and updates- they shrug their shoulders and claim algorithms. The kicker is a house down the street purchased for minimum. It shows that you may have not anyone with a high IQ using zestimate but just making it up as you go along if your go too is claiming an algorithm that is anonymous. Obviously, with all the reviews there is an issue and there are more unreliable reviews that do not have a basis unless they disclose what these algorithms that are being used and why they are not consistent.

Zillow did throw me a bone after I politely emailed them several times and I believed to make me go away that they did offer $10k more. Now we have sold this house, it does seem underestimate, and did it influence the sale? WE can never really know but I have a feeling it has but good thing I believe in God, not Zillow. ;D LOL

UPDATE: 2021 It seems after several complaints Zillow has changed its ways and used comps to now compare house values which now is an improvement. Damage has been done for many of us but now the housing market I believe is used to ignoring these Zestimates when it comes to buying and fighting for a house now. :) My review still stands as what I went through with Zillow as what we experienced.

So many scammers
January 17, 2020

I had 2 very bad experiences with Zillow. I tried to rent apartments on 2 occasions and paid some money upfront. They turned out to be scams and i lost some money. I was distraught and started getting depressed until i saw a review on google about a cyber security expert who also specialized in tracking scammers and recovering stolen funds. I contacted him and to my surprise, he was able to track both scammers and recover a substantial amount from them. Thread carefully when using Zillow. Make a lot of inquiries before sending any money. If you have already been scammed, contact Brian Anfield at shadowcat111 at protonmail.com. He might be able to help you. Cheers.

Zillow rated our house for many years starting at $1.2 million in March 2019 was rated at over $1.3 million. Within a month is went to be rated by Zillow at under 630.000. The house beside us just sold for $1,3500. 000 in Nobember 2019 and is much smaller than our house the one beside that just sold for over $1,900.000 in October. Now our house is only worth under $630,000.00 1.15 acres and by the ocean. The property tax just increased by $1,400.00 per year and we pay over $17,000.00 in taxes to the town do Cumberland. This company should be shut down in a heart beat if anyone would care. Try calling them nobody will answer the phone or return a voice mail. Shut this deceiving company down. They are trying to destroy the value of our homes. Get rid of them! Put them out of business!

Avoid scams through email
December 23, 2019

Instead of getting a reply back from any of the landlords I have been seeing mutiple emails in my inbox that says: American Small Investmen. Yes Investmen not Investment.
I went back and looked at the apartments that were posted and saw that none of them had a address just a street name with the apartment number #1 or #2 on it. It's sad that people are willing to go this far to scam others who are genuinely looking for an apartment or home to live in.

Wise buyers do not buy any property in this unrealistic market because you will be paying double for what that property is worth.
Also, Zillow.com is at the final stage of buying distressed homes left on the market and auctions to give them a cheap and superficial cosmetic work and sell them to you for twice or even more what they paid by fouling you with a low interest rate, which the Feds will no longer be able to keep it low, so you will eventually be under water with your mortgage higher interest and property taxes. Then you will be forced to give your house back to Zillow company, which will once again be selling the house you bought to another uneducated buyer.
Do yourself a favor and be a wise buyer by waiting the market dip down, which is about to happen anytime now and then go buy your house for the right price and value.
I am awaiting on such opportunity that will take place sooner than we think because recession is already here and the same crash will take place as the last one in 2007-2010, where houses were selling for their real value!
I refuse to make big real estate investors like Zillow, Redfin and others richer on the account of the hard working Americans like us!

We signed a contract to now be charged about $10 per listing per week. As we do all of the taking of the photos and uploads and writing of copy, it has served Zillow to then have all of those images, etc.to keep their data entry updated! But now we get to sign a contract with the promise of getting exclusive rep-support (I will laugh loudly here) as our anxious to have us-sign-rep is now nowhere to be found. I've left four messages and filled out four on-line supports. The property that has been listed for one month now is NOT showing up in the maps of the area NOT displaying when someone places the street it is on, frankly only displaying on the Partners aligned. The owner is furious as he's missed the better timing for renting his home, and refuses to pay for this non-service. But we have paid for it! So perhaps if Lauren from Seattle is reading this she may give us a call! My advice if you're considering signing anything, don't do it.

I have tried to get help from Zillow for more than two weeks without success. An ad on Zillow also appears on Trulia and Hotpads. But information entered on Zillow does not accurately populated on Trulia and Hotpads. Trulia and Hotpads does not offer an edit of your listing. Only Zillow's allows edits. But. The edits do not update all three sites. Very stressful to be using such an inept platform. Still waiting for someone to respond to my requests for help.

I get a "monthly report" zestimate on a home I own in FL. It has been consistently in the $180k's for years, including last month. Today's "zestimate" values it at $116K. That is a $64k drop according to them, but funny thing is, it shows it dropped $254.00 from last month. Advice to ANYONE looking to sell. Get a good agent to give you real numbers. Don't rely on this sham site to decide whether or not it is worth selling your home.
