I bought a pair of prescription glasses that were supposed to be transitional from a traditional optical store. I live in Las Vegas and the sun is BRIGHT. They were nowhere near what I needed in a sunglass. So a friend told me about Zenni. Had my coworker measure my pupil distance, found a cute, fun frame (after all, they are sunglasses!) I got the anti-glare lens, the whole kit and caboodle with frames, lens, anti-glare coating, taxes and shipping was 27.00. I can see crystal clear out of them, and love them so much I just bought another pair for in the house. So glad someone recommended them to me!
I ended up ordering three pair of glasses, so many styles to choice from. At their low prices I could afford the three pairs. Delivery come a few days early and I absolutely love my glasses.

Zenni refuses medical professional evidence they screwed up the Rx. Proof attached with Rx numbers supplied when glasses were ordered (top) and what Zenni sent (bottom). Then it took 5 days to get a return call.

If a customer contacts us about glasses that they believe were manufactured incorrectly, we typically request that the customer return the glasses to be inspected after confirming that the prescription and pupillary distance (PD) were entered correctly on the order. Having a third party inspection is not necessary, but if the customer has had one done, and wishes to send a copy of it along with their glasses, we will not refuse it and it will become part of our records; however, it will not be accepted in lieu of our in-house inspection. Once our inspection is completed, and if any errors are detected, Zenni will remake the glasses.
If our statements above do not align with what you experienced, we sincerely apologize, and we ask that you send us your order number via private message on this review site so that we may address this with the agent who assisted you and ultimately, take a closer look at your case to be sure that it is being handled with care. So first I ordered myself a pair of glasses which I was very satisfied with and would have given zenny five stars. However I was so excited that I added my husband's prescription to my account to order him a couple of pairs of glasses. Well for some reason when you pick your frames and then you pick your prescription you get caught up in this circle of entering the date of birth for the RX and then you go around and around in this circle of entering RX then entering DOB then entering RX. Finally you manage to get the spaghetti to stick to the wall. Before you know it all of a sudden the wrong prescription is assigned to the glasses and you order them not realizing that that happened. Turns out I've got a pair of my husband's frames with my prescription in them except they're bifocals and I don't have bifocals... I know exactly how this happened because it took me several tries to get my husband's prescription to attach to the order. So I can imagine that I got confused about what was happening. I do not want to pay to return these glasses I don't want another credit and I don't want to pay half of the price for restocking. So I think next time I'll just use warby Parker

Since you mentioned that there is no way to save more than one prescription in one Zenni account, we would like to take this opportunity to confirm that there is a way. Here is how it can be done. You may log in to your Zenni account and go to ‘My Account’, then ‘Account Overview’. Scroll until you see the heading ‘My Prescriptions’, then click on ‘Manage’ and you will have access to edit or delete any prescriptions that have already been saved in your account, and to add a new one, you can simply click on ‘Add New Prescription’. Another way to save prescriptions to your account is during the order process. After choosing a frame and entering the prescription, you may check the box that says ‘Save this Prescription’. No matter which option you choose, you will be asked to give the prescription a name. You may find it helpful to use the name of the family member to whom the prescription belongs so that when you select a frame for a new order and you are ready to enter the prescription for that frame, you can simply use the ‘Import’ feature and select the name of the family member who’s prescription you would like to import into the frame.
We would also like to confirm that we provide a prepaid return shipping label for orders being shipped within the U.S. Additionally, in your case, the return options would be either 50% refund to the original method of payment or 100% store credit, both of which exclude the shipping fee. We believe that store credit is a good option in cases where a mistake was made during the order process and the customer is willing to try again to order correctly, and we are pleased to offer 50% refund to customers who do not wish to reorder so that they may recoup half of what was initially paid for the glasses. We are sorry to learn that you are not interested in either option. We are also sorry that you are considering shopping elsewhere for your eyeglasses needs but we sincerely hope that you will find an optical retailer that better fits your needs.

I bought my glasses from another company and found them a bit challenging in figuring out the distance between my pupils, the size would fit my face. By the time we went to order my daughter's glasses, we heard about Zenni. The website is so easy to navigate! Zenni made it easy to do measurements and "try on her glasses". The pair she ordered received are a great fit. We be back to look for pairs for family members.
I made a mistake with my order and they fixed it immediately. Prices are great for this quality eyewear!
Update: in response to the passive aggressive response from the company below, I've added this information, plus a photo of my reciept:
I paid $8.99 extra for a lense upgrade, I have it on the receipt despite what the representative is saying below in the reply. (Even though it does not mention it in the receipt description, when you choose to upgrade the lenses, I'm almost 100% sure it mentioned that they are higher in scratch resistance when you are adding it to your cart in the checkout.)
In addition, I first reported this issue within 3 months of owning the glasses (reported in Oct, glasses were purchased at the end of July). What type of product is only warrantied for 30 days? A poorly made one. Buyer beware!

Zenni used to be a decent brand. My latest pair lasted less than 9 months. Their customer support stopped responding to me as I was trying to get help, and even though I paid extra for anti scratch lenses, they got a huge scratch down the center of the lense with minimal use.
Then, several months later, they slipped off the kitchen table and the whole temple arm snapped off. Mind you, I'm a very careful person and my other two pairs of Zenni's from 2 years ago are still in tact.
I had to report Zenni to the Better Business Bureau, since no one from customer service was responding, and all they offered me was half off the same poorly made glasses.
I will not be purchasing Zenni glasses again.
Thank you for posting your review. We were sorry to learn that there is a scratch on one of your lenses and that a temple arm came off of your frame. Consequently, we apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced as a result. As explained in our response to your Better Business Bureau complaint, we are dismayed to read your statement that you paid for scratch protection on your glasses, because, as our customer service representative advised when you contacted us about this matter and made the same statement, on October 25,2020, we do not charge for anti-scratch coating; all our lenses come with a free anti-scratch coating. However, this coating is not 100 percent scratch-proof; rather, it helps to prevent minor scratches that can easily happen to a regular lens. We also want to confirm that the lens you selected for these glasses, the 1.59 pure polycarbonate lens, is more impact-resistant but not as scratch-resistant as other lenses, such as the 1.50 polycarbonate-composite lens you selected for the glasses on your two previous orders. Nevertheless, insofar as you contacted us about these matters well outside the warranty period for this order, neither a refund nor a free replacement of the glasses or frame were available options. Therefore, we advised in our Better Business Bureau response that you may purchase a replacement frame on our website at half price. Short of purchasing a new pair of glasses, that is the only option and we are sorry to learn that you are unhappy with it. We are also sorry that you have decided not to shop at Zenni again, but we wish you the best and hope you will be happy wherever you choose to purchase eyeglasses in the future.
After misplacing a pair of glasses during a move I ordered more - I found my glasses and as the new pair were still processing I reached out via email to request a cancellation. I was advised I can get 100% store credit or 50% refund. I chose the refund, even though I think I should have a full refund as it was still processing and also there was a notice that there would be delays for my order anyway but I just requested the refund. After somebody replied to me and I requested the refund they just disappeared, I sent several follow-up emails requesting confirmation of the refund which I never got. I went ahead and called Zenni only to find out that my order was on hold because they were quote waiting for my response. Not only did I respond I followed up with three other emails asking what the hell is going on why is nobody responding to me am I going to get my refund? Overall, incredibly poor customer service do not recommend Zenni; I purchased at least six pairs of glasses from them most of them came back feeling very cheap their customer service is terrible and I will not be using Zenni ever again.

We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with receiving a partial refund, instead of a full refund, when your order was cancelled. We wish to explain that it is our policy to provide a full refund if we receive a request to cancel an order within 24 hours of when the order was submitted. However, once that hold period is over, and our lab has begun to manufacture the glasses, we can no longer offer a full refund. Because your request to cancel came 5 days into production, we offered you a 50% refund. We are also sorry that you did not receive an immediate response when you emailed us to say that you would accept the partial refund. Although one of our goals is to get to the point where we are consistently meeting a 24-hour response time for all email correspondence, we are not there yet, and our current response time is anywhere between 24 to 72 hours. A review of our records confirms that in addition to sending an email stating that you would accept the 50% refund, which was sent on February 10th, you sent 4 additional emails between the 10th and the 13th, none of which we were able to respond to prior to you giving us a call. We are sorry we were not able to respond and we want to assure you that we are working to improve in this area.
We regret that your experience with this order has led to your decision not to use Zenni again. Of course, we hope that you will reconsider, but if you don’t, we wish you the best at whichever eyeglasses retailer you choose next. Thank you for posting this review.

It was my first time trying Zenni out this last year, recommended by a dear friend, so I tried it out and found some perfect glasses that were subtle rainbows so I could wear my queerness on the outside in a loud and proud manner. The lenses were only 30~something dollars - WITH lenses! Incredible. I am used to having used Warby Parker before, which was 90 for one glasses prescription. As a now poorer person, Zenni was there for me when I needed new glasses. Highly recommend to anyone on a budget and wanting really nice glasses! My only thing was I had a big head so I had to take them to Walmart Eye Center to get stretched, but now they fit perfect and I couldn't be happier wearing my rainbow glasses. Thanks again Zenni!
Where to begin. I ordered a pair of glasses in September 2020. The frames were too big for me so I returned them and ordered a different pair. Their policy is to apply the amount of the returned glasses to the new glasses, which is fine. Except they didn't do that and I was charged for both pairs. It took talking to two customer service reps and literally screaming on the phone for 20 minutes to get them to apply the credit for the first pair.
The replacement pair arrived about a month later, but the lenses had a very bad distortion which actually caused me to see arcs of light even whenI took them off. They agreed that the lenses were faulty and they said they would make me another pair. I should have insisted on a refund at that point, but their policy is only a 50% refund on a replacement pair... even if it is their mistake. Another month went by and I finally received the third pair. The quality of the lenses was so poor that everything looked grainy through them. They agreed to take them back again, so I returned them. It is now the middle of January and they just got back to me to tell me the glasses are just fine. I decided to just take the 50% refund this time because everything about dealing with Zenni was terrible and I just want to be done with them. Got a pair of glasses at Costco that only cost $25.00 more, have nice clear lenses and took about 8 days to receive.

Answer: I had no problem with returning my initial pair of glasses. I contacted customer service via online chat and explained my reason for return and I was told I would receive 100% credit that could be applied to my reorder. I followed the return instructions given and kept track via USPS and the transaction went smoothly without any glitches.

Progressive lenses contain three viewing areas: distance-, intermediate-, and near-vision - the distance vision area is near the top of the lens, the near vision area is at the bottom, and the intermediate vision area is in the middle. The clear viewing area is located in the central "corridor" of the lenses, so there can be a noticeable but expected blur when looking toward the edges of the lenses. Due to this design, and because there are slight differences between progressive lenses across brands, someone new to wearing progressive lenses may initially experience some difficulty adjusting to them; likewise, someone who is already accustomed to wearing one brand of progressive lenses may have some difficulty adjusting if they switch to a different brand, and they will find that it it will take some time to become accustomed to the new lenses. Despite the period of adaptation needed, we are happy to report that we do not receive a disproportionate number of complaints about our progressive lenses. However, we don't ever want to assume that needing time to adjust to the lenses is the only reason a customer could be having difficulty with their glasses; consequently, if you have recently purchased progressive lenses, and have problems seeing clearly through them, we encourage you to contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-211-2105. We are sorry that you did not receive what you intended to purchase. However, we wish to confirm that your glasses were manufactured correctly according to the order details that we received. Our records indicate that you called us after receiving the first of the two recent orders. We have retrieved the recording of that call in which you explained to the representative who assisted you that you thought that you had purchased lenses that darken when exposed to sunlight but what you received were lenses that are permanently dark. Our representative reviewed the order then advised that you had selected a permanent tint for your glasses and explained that in order to receive glasses that darken when exposed to light, you should select Transitions® lenses or any of the other photochromic options available on our website. She further explained that you could return the permanently tinted glasses for store credit, and use the credit to purchase the lenses you originally intended to purchase. You accepted the credit and once you received it, submitted a new order. Unfortunately, you ordered the same type of lenses you had recently returned, which were permanently tinted lenses.
It seems as though you are or may have been under the impression that you ordered the same type of lenses you had in previous orders, so we took a look at those orders, and we found that what you purchased previously were 1.67 Blokz Photochromic lenses. These lenses protect the eyes from potentially harmful blue light and they darken when exposed to sunlight as well. However, the lenses you recently purchased and returned and the lenses you purchased immediately after were 1.67 Blokz lenses without the photochromic feature that enables them to darken when exposed to sunlight. However, for the two recent pairs of glasses you selected a standard tint in dark gray, which is the permanent tint previously mentioned. We hope this information clears up any confusion regarding what lenses were selected on your orders and we encourage you to view these details in your Zenni account so that you may see the difference in what you selected last time and what was selected recently. To see these details, log in to your Zenni account, then go to My Orders. Once you find your orders, you may click on View Details to see the lenses you selected.
