Made an appointment to have my car diagnosed and repaired. Paid $150.00 for diagnosis. Mechanic provided the diagnosis. Quotes a $1500. 00 job to get my car running. Pay the $1500. 00. Mechanic tells me that my car is not repaired and I would have to pay an extra $500.00 to repair. Was not offered the $500.00 option to fix the car initially. They conveniently quote the $1500. 00 job first. Called to explain that this is not right. I paid the $1500 and they promised to get my car running. I asked them to at least refund the $150.00 diagnostic cost. Anything! The offered a $50.00 discount on the $500.00 job. Avoid this website. They have no control over the work of the mechanic and will not make any effort to correct the wrongs committed by the mechanics.

Kevin is a very poor professional. He made numerous promises and failed to deliver on any of them. I spent a week sourcing parts, contacting my ignition interlock company and getting all arrangements made.

Kevin actually inspected the vehicle and told me if I got the parts and permission from the interlock company, he'd be here Saturday at 8am to perform the work... finally.

I discovered that the state of WA has a very simple 1 page form that the mechanic needs to sign yet my printer broke. When I asked Kevin if he could print it out he responded very late that he wont perform the work because he refused to sign this very simple and standard form.

After being coldly texted this at 10 at night I understandably got irate.

Kevin then accused me of having anger management issues...

No kidding, really? You cancel a service appointment in less than 24 hours for a pathetic reason of not wanting to sign a 1 page state form?

I am SUPREMELY dissatisfied with Kevin, yourmechanic.com, and I will let everyone know you and Kevin are unreliable and unprofessional...

I will make sure to have others aware ONLINE of Kevin's unprofessional behavior and will make sure to place a negative review for both him and your services.

I wouldn't wish Kevin on anyone... he is frankly, stupid, unprofessional, and a flake.

I would give them. We pre-paid to have service done today on a faulty CV joint, and it was abruptly cancelled, and there isn't anyone else available for two damn weeks. Very poor folliow through, and it will probably take a week to get the money back. Don't trust this company- fly by night and very unhelpful.

Scam
May 11, 2022

This is a Scam for sure they say on their website you Won't be charge until the work is done BS got charged before they even came to do the work. If I can give this company zero stars most definitely would. First off I wanna say they canceled my appointment Yesterday because the mechanic was talking about he got the wrong part and it clearly states the part I needed in the booking notes so he was not able to fix it. Then proceeded to tell me that this job will be a 4 to 5 hour job so I need to be quoted again and pay more money smh. So I call customer service this morning and got into a couple arguments with their representatives for quickly trying to rush me off the phone and not resolving the issues that was not my fault. I just wanted to get my car fixed. They also told me that I had to provide the parts if I wanted the service this place is a joke and I should have went with my first gut after seeing all the negative reviews before paying my hard earn American money just to get my time wasted. Ridiculous zero stars. I highly do not recommend this place.

Trying to my car service under warranty since April. Mechanic keep cancelling and it is now May 3rd and still no service. My check engine light on and have a leak didn't have a leak until my car was service by them. They replace valve cover gasket. I'm probable have to get it fix by another mechanic and sue them for the money I will have to spend. I'm so frustrated not have a car and borrowing friend cars or taking public transportation. I talked to a person name Chris who said they will send me to a mechanic close to my house to see what's the problem and haven't heard from him in 2 days now.

Warranty is a JOKE!
May 1, 2022

My stepson had his starter replaced that went bad. Your Mechanic make the warranty replacement so difficult and time consuming, i. E., take days to get back to you, lots of back-and-forth, only communicate via email, send you somewhere else to have the car looked at, and after ALL that do not accept their evaluation and will not honor the warranty. Three weeks later we had to take the car to Brakes Plus to put in a new starter. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this company!

Mechanic flake
April 24, 2022

Call on april 3rd for an appointment through the warranty. It's now april 24th still no service. Mechanic reschedule 5 times now. They say it a part they need. But the nice lady I talked to on april 20th confirmed with the part department said they have it. I think because i don't have to pay because a the first time my car was done bad and they taking their time and dealing with a paying customer instead. I have 12 month warranty they need to fix my car. It shouldn't take this long.

I hired them to replace my rear rotors and brakes. The mechanic calls and rescheduled the appointment. Then an hour before the appointment, the company calls and cancels the appointment. I was told it is against their policy to do the job. I have the parts and all they have to do is install them. But now it's against their policy. When I questioned them about it, the answer I got was that's our policy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

I don't even know what to say other than please save yourself the time and trouble and don't use this so called company. They have terrible reviews on here and I wish I would have listened to them before trying to hire them to fix my vehicle. Not only were they not helpful but they cost me $ and left me frustrated and angry. They wouldn't show and each time they canceled on me AFTER our appointment they would reschedule just to repeat the process. Very disappointed

Pointless
April 10, 2022

I am furious because I just called and explained my better half and I just bought new break pads and rotors and was going to attempt to change them ourselves and when we removed our tire we saw the boot on the CV axle needed replacement cause it's ripped. So we put the tire back on and did nothing more but called this place "your mechanic" and the lady said that they refused to work on our car now cause we took the tire off and put it back on. It's their policy they say. That's as dumb as a box of rocks cause how do you people make money then?! Don't you know people replace their own tires, breaks, rotors and heck they even change their own oil! So your telling me just cause I took my own tire off of my own personal car that you refuse service?! Do you only work on newly bought manufactured cars? Because everyone has a vehicle they have taken from one shop to another and then had you guys replace something. That makes no sense. What a rip off to society. I'm going to tell everyone I know about this BS you are feeding people. Good luck making money in the future.

Had three appointments, mechanic never came on time, the second appointment was canceled twice by the mechanic which resulted in a three week wait. Wrong diagnosis both times. Those diagnosis made me fix things that were not bad or broken. Spent $2500 on their recommendations and still have the problem. Made a very bad mistake, good concept but very bad execution.

I scheduled a service with them for a check engine light on 2/11/22. The soonest appointment I could get was for 3/1/22, so I booked it. Two days beforehand, I was emailed by them saying the appointment had been rescheduled for 3/7/22. The day before THAT appointment, I got another email saying it had been rescheduled again for the following week.

Frustrated, I finally called customer service. They informed me that the technician "was no longer with the company and that's why the appointment kept being rebooked".

1. Why not cancel the appointment with that reason? Why force me to wait then resort to calling myself?
2. We do live in a rural area. Instead of saying that we're outside the service area, which is likely, they claim they NOW don't service the area. We've heard this same excuse from other companies in the past. They should be upfront from the start about what areas they service.

Poor Customer Service
March 16, 2022

The option of work was not available for what I need so I wrote it in the message to my mechanic. But the original service change and the cost was changed by the mechanic. He was unable to do the work on the date I put in. They still charged me for cancellation. $29 for nothing. They are horrible and a scam. Don't use them.

Not worth it!
March 13, 2022

I recently had my starter replaced. All was good until 2 weeks after the replacement when car was having same issues. Mechanic came out for "warranty claim". Told me it was a wire connection called the pigtail(so basically holds wire in place securely) that directly plugs into the starter. So the mechanic that fixed my starter, broke this and never said anything about it. Took the company 8 days to get back with me about the "warranty claim". He said that they cannot verify that due to the age of my vehicle (2012, so 10 years old) they cannot say it's not from a prior fix or due to the age of the vehicle. But I've never had a starter replaced and if there was a wire that was broke prior to service, most mechanics would say they can fix the initial problem but advise of the wire and if they can/cannot replace it. So ultimately the mechanic broke it during fixing the car. Not only did they state they couldn't fix it (even if I paid) because it's a part I would have to find because they don't supply it and then charged me for the "warranty diagnostic" even though it was caused due to the repair that I paid for. Now I have to pay someone else to do this so that I have a car that starts up without fail because I used this company! DO NOT USE THEM. Just pay the extra to go to the shop. At this point I have paid more than doing it in a shop!

Im a repeat customer that had nothing but good things to say about this company --UNTIL I HAD TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM ---the mechanic replaced a brake line... failed to properly bleed the brakes... Yourmechanic forces you to agree to pay for the repairs should THEY determine the work is not covered under the warranty... if you don't have a payment method on file they won't come out and look at the problem... so I was confident it wouldn't be an issue but they charged me for the follow up visit anyway and will not return my calls or emails about the problem. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND WARN YOU NOT TO EITHER... I've disputed the charge with my credit card company

Mechanic came and my card was charged $326.60 the mechanic couldn't complete the job, which is fine. It happens. But the $326.60? That all should've been returned to me. No, they (YourMechanic, not the mechanic himself) decided to go ahead and keep $98.49 of that money. They're also vehemently denying that this charge ever even happened. In fact, they've taken to copy and pasting their original response for each of my inquiries, so they aren't even trying to address this issue. Was also charged for the time the mechanic was here which was $104. So I essentially just paid over $200 for some guy to come $#*! around with my car and not even fix it. Certainly not gonna be using this service again, not if they're gonna dip their dirty little hands into my wallet. In the images I've provided, you can see that their emails back to me are infact two separate emails, both of them saying the exact same thing. I've also provided the transaction that shows they charged me $98.49 (which they completely disregarded) I've circled the transaction status which indicates that this transaction is complete, and will not be reversed on it's own. I've also circled the date the transaction happened, and the date the screenshot was taken, indicating that 7-10 business days have passed (the amount of time they insisted I should wait for the charge to cancel) and the charge is still present.

One mechanic in the pompano area "jose" came to service my car today prepaid for the work. The mechanic showed up and procrastinated for over an hour. Told me he wasn't going to be able to do the work. And showed me another issue with the car that wasn't there prior to him showing up. This man sliced my hood sensor and cracked the radiator intentionally. I contacted the better business bureau about him. He deserves to lose his job. I have 2 witnesses to this act. And myself. Disgusting how people like this are even employed.
