I set up an appointment to replace my alternator at 9:30 the next day. That evening they asked me to reschedule a week later.
The next day I found out that they had canceled the appt. Without notifying me. They make appointments hoping that a mechanic will take up that time and when that doesn't happen there is a no show. That leaves vulnerable customers with no service when they are really depending on it. I do not recommend using this company under any circumstance.
Had a appointment for Sunday. They called could not get there changed till Monday. They can not get part till wedsday which comes from Oreillys but I can get part but that voids there warrenty. I go buy part Monday he shows up 1 hour late. I put the key on the windshield told him and went in. A hour later I need in car asked him did I hive you the key he says NO. I look for key for 30 minutes. Can not be found. I call a locksmith had new key made $250. Later that night he calls me the key was in his pocket the whole time. He dropped it off. I call the customer service and explain what happened. I get a call asking to send a pic of receipt. I tell them I can fax it. I am told they do not a fax machine. I send a pic. Now they can see pic clearly. I tell them the pic is the best I can do I can mail a copy or they can call locksmith. There is no supervisor no one who can help. Now after 3 weeks I call again and I am told they will call you when they don't know. They have no customer service no one to help you. Still waiting for a call from them. What a tip off do not use them. I wish I had it towed to a auto shop. I will never use them again.
Last weekend I scheduled an appointment with a tech to diagnostic my check engine light, rough idle. First the driver was high, he didn't know how to start the car! He complaint that he was getting a warning for a missing key. I had to explained him that he need to leave the key inserted press the gas pedal and hit the start button.
Once he read the codes, He gave me a wrong code information that I already knows that code has been stored for while and has nothing to see with the new issue that I have.
He Didn't check anything else, only refer me to one of his friend that has a mechanic shop.
Once he left, course I have to feed back trough the app.
I gave him one star with no comments at all. Then 5 min later guy call me back coarse me, asking why I have given him only 1 star? Mechanic was unprofessional and not sure if guy was drunk or high. But the experience that I have contracting trough mechanics website, will not ever happened ever again bad service.
I was looking for a mobile mechanic so I scheduled to have a mechanic come to my home to change my spark plugs and wires. When I scheduled I was informed I would have a chance to speak with the mechanic prior to him coming to my home. I though this would be helpful in order to explain to the mechanic that although my car is a Mercury I have a GM motor in it. The mechanic never reached out to me and showed up with the wrong parts for my car. He took pictures and got the information needed to get the correct parts. Later that evening I receive a cancellation notice that I provided the wrong details and I was being charged a non-refundable cancellation fee. I never cancelled the appointment, I just wanted the correct parts installed. When I contacted them they being rude proved to me how shady of a business they run that there was nothing they could do to refund the fee. My free advice is that you look elsewhere for your needs and stay far away from these crooks.
I booked an appointment for check out my car for not starting. My appointment was set for 2:45 pm and the mechanic (Chuy) showed up at 6:15pm. (I okay'd him for a 4:30 pm time because he called to let me know he would be late, but this was way later than initially said.) He said I'd need a new battery and the total would be $418.18 because "parts don't cost what they used to" but didn't have a bill for me to see. Inspection fee was $124.99 per the website and he emphasized the part being more expensive, so I okay'd it. After the job was done, I was sent a breakdown and saw the labor fee was $270.98. For a battery installation. There's no way I would've agreed to that overcharge, not with AutoZone a few blocks away. Anyway, Chuy understood why I was upset, but he said there wasn't anything he could do to help me. So I called customer service.
Customer service has been even worse with this ordeal. At first when I placed a call to them on the evening of 6/24, an employee told me I'd only have to pay the installation fee because of the over-inflated labor fee. But since I've called every other time, no one on the receiving end of Your Mechanic will honor this agreement even though it came from the company. On 6/25 I spoke to Angelo, who did not do this. He wasn't very attentive in the case, either so I asked to speak with someone else, and on 7/29 I finally called back after receiving no word. The representative said the case had been moved to the archives. So I had to start again.
Since then, I've called five times and NO ONE has called me back. It's been nine days my last request. This has gone on for about two months. I don't know why this company can't honor their word.
It's one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with. The multiple times I've called asking why it takes days to receive a return call was met with "they're busy assisting other calls." I understand that, but it usually takes days and no one seems interested in helping get this resolved. It's pretty simple: an employee from their company said the bill would be readjusted, but it hasn't yet. Every time I call, no one will do this, or even listen to get this done. No receptionist will transfer a call or take a message- they'll only put in a request to have another department call back, and my average wait time between calls has been stretches of days.
I was happy to talk this out like an adult, but no one has been available to do that and it's been two months. I don't want anyone else to go through this- AVOID.
Mechanic failed to show on multiple appointments. The mechanic dismantled our engine, stole our battery and key, and completely ghosted us. THEN, the company charged us! When I contacted YourMechanic to resolve the issue, they said THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO! I now have to file a lawsuit. UGH!
Beware of ALEX the mechanic - he is a CRIMINAL!
You have an option to schedule your time and then you get messages saying it is scheduled and then the next day you get calls texts and emails saying a mechanic can make your scheduled time and you have to wait an additional week! Save yourself some time and headache and choose someone else
They canceled on me after ten minutes of me booking and they took my money anyway and now I'm having to wait a week to get my money back. Now I'm out of a car and out of $300 until the refund comes in…. Unreliable business stay away
You have the audacity to quote me $1,900.00 for a job that I got done for $378.00 parts included. Than to add insult to that ridiculous amount you had no mechanic in the area and expected me to find you a location and pay for that as well. Whoever hires you for anything! Is a complete flake that needs their head worked on instead. And I apologize to whomever you have already scammed but after reading this if you hire these scoundrels, you deserve to be had! In closing, I am a hard working man who takes people at their word and always wish the best for everyone. Hopefully this review will help stop you from victimizing anymore decent people looking for an honest mechanic.
Scheduled for a break change. When came the first day changed the appointment to an inspection and charge $120. That was not part of the agreement. Then when came the second day after doing a full inspection the first day found extra issues and made me pay an extra $300 for something that I was left at no option to not do as he already had everything the d-assembled when called to dispute or cause I was told that's our policy like it or not. You already paid. That's what's happening. Customer service was crap and mechanic took 6 hours to change to brakes. Don't use their service. They are rip off and crappy jobs
Tsk tsk, this company has a horrible business ethic, offers terrible customer service. This company actually disputed my credit card dispute claim after they were contacted when the mechanic installed gasket seal that was left outside of the engine cover. The mechanic did absolutely terrible work, horrible! I had to take it to another shop for repair again! They never contacted me back and had the nerve to reply to my credit card company tho to keep the bogus charges. They should feel ashamed of their business practices. Will be filing at the BBB as well. What a terrible company with horrible business ethic, ripping people off of their hard earned money. SO WRONG
I had a check engine light that came on for 2006 honda odyssey and the mechanic did a code scan and did not even tell me what is causing the issue. What a waste of money!
Paid upfront $124.99 for diagnostic inspection, with credit to be applied if work performance upon inspection. Mechanic informed me of repair needed and I made appointment and set up date and timefor work to be performed.
When I followed up to confirm original mechanic not available so the individual checked for replacement. After must down time holding the person returned and said spoke to original mechanic and said work could not be done at my home. Work was fuel filter!
This is after appointment made and no call from them at all of this decision, and if I didn't call how was I to know service was not going to be performed as told.
Now I payed upfront as stated earlier $124.99 since they cancelled the work I I am entitled to a refund not going to happen. Very unfortunate and disappointed in how I have been treated so word of advice be cautious.
I need my alternator replaced - my battery had died (due to the alternator not charging it) on the way home so my car had been towed to my driveway. I bought a new alternator ahead of time (from a reputable store), and when my usual mechanic come within the week to replace my bad alternator, I just contacted yourmechanic. The guy came out and spend 2 hours taking out the old alternator and replacing it with the new alternator. At the end of those 2 hours, he tells me the new alternator is in but it was a bad part so the car still would not start - oh, and I still owe the $200+ in labor. Within his next breath he suggested: I could buy another alternator through yourmechanic that was warrantied and set up another appointment for him to come back and install it next week. All this would cost an additional $500+ dollars on top of the $200+ I had just spent for him to install an allegedly bad alternator in my car and leave it there until I paid him or someone else to remove it so it could be returned to the store for a refund. An alternator is one of those parts where if it isn't properly installed, a perfectly good part can be ruined. Needless to say, I declined to use yourmechanic's services again for the same issue. I was able to find a mechanic shop within 5 miles of my house that was able to do the job more quickly, cheaper, and right - now they will become my go-to shop for car repairs.
I wanted to replace the timing built in my Subaru Outback, and made the mistake of going with the cheapest option. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The 'mechanic' assured me that he was using top-quality parts and that he had done this multiple times. ~5 months later my engine sounded like a diesel lawnmower - when I took it to an emergency mechanic, they pulled out a visibly frayed timing belt and said that it was "hours away from slipping" and destroying the engine. When I called YourMechanic for an explanation, they refused to help me and refused to provide a refund (as guaranteed in the warranty.)
There's a reason they're the cheapest option -
This is the worst service I've ever used. The mechanics and the whole company is highly unreliable. I am wisconsin and scheduled a repair with them. The mechanic Ernesto rescheduled the appointment twice to following day and after that stopped answering his phone. I contacted customer service and they rescheduled me to two weeks later. After two weeks the mechanic still didn't show up because of him not able to get clearance to buy the part. In total, I wasted 5 weeks with the car sitting in my garage and still not fixed. They charge you upfront even though they say card wont be charged until after the service is done. Total waste of my precious time. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Ripping people off if I have a warranty why I'm being charge for the guy to come out to check my car for the same problem I paid for running hot they put a new thermostat a new fan and some more stuff and I got done they still want to charge me for him to come and my car is under warranty I will report to the bbb
Francisco rescheduled 5 times with unprofessional context in text message then showed up 1 hour late. Then proceeded to eat breakfast in my driveway for 30 minutes and then throw his trash in my driveway. Gave him the key to my car. Went outside 2 hours later to see if he needed some water and his car is gone and my keys are no where in sight. He never said he was leaving didn't give any indication that he was gone. Called customer service to see what is going on, and they were no help. Found my keys under the back seat of my 3rd row seating of the Van. Customer service said they could have another mechanic out here to fix my van in a week. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Customer service was trying everything in there power to not give me a refund, but thank the heavens i went through a 3rd party pay-site. I would not recommend this company and most definitely stay away from Francisco. These people will waste your time and try to steal your money.
I scheduled the mechanic to replace a front driver side axle on my 4 wheel drive. He arrived with the wrong part. We rescheduled. The time he was to return as scheduled came and went. I called their office and found they had cancelled my appointment. I rescheduled 4 more times and each time the office cancelled my appointment. They would offer no explanation and the mechanic showed up the last time with the right part. He found out the appointment had been cancelled by the office. He had to leave as he was not allowed to work on a vehicle if the appointment has been canceled. He apologized and left. I got the work done at a local shop a few days later. They need to fire all the employees in the office in California and replace them with qualified people and this business would be great. I just wish someone would start a similar company in Dayton Ohio doing this. I, and many others, would use their service a lot.
Improperly installed brake pads (2 inbound pads on one side) caused $1,500 of brake system damage. They refused to even refund me the $374 they charged for the faulty brake job. Their customer service is the worst.
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
