Helpful warning
March 1, 2022

Beware of their mechanic FARAZ he will try to rip you off. He diagnose my car and told me that the problem was my timing chain and it will cost me 2k to fix it. Guess what i brought my car to the dealership for repair the problem was only the sensor in which the parts only cost me $37 and i ask them about my timing chain definitely there was no problem and no need to be replace. That mechanic Faraz in yourmechanic.com website is a liar and he will rip you off BEWARE of this mechanic.

TIMING CHAIN WHAT A JOKE!
February 24, 2022

Was told on phone they don't work on TIMING CHAINS, ONLY timing belts! Quaks! Lol Entire site is on TIMING CHAINS! I pointed out to them it's talking about timing chains and not belts and he said we don't work on timing chains. Of course I knew this WAY TOO good to be true!

My first experience with Your Mechanic was a positive one when I had the timing belt on my Odyssey replaced a couple years ago. My second experience was quite the opposite, and I will not use them again. I was seeking to do three different services and check on a fourth. The mechanic arrived over an hour late. Not long after when he had disassembled much of the valve cover gasket, I was advised that the company Your Mechanic provided the wrong part for its replacement. (I was also told that the CV axle did not need replacement and that the VVT solenoid looked fine.) When attempting to re-schedule an appointment with the correct parts, I was told the earliest time would be 5 days later. That wouldn't have been so bad, but I would not have use of my car as the car could not be put back together with the old parts. I spoke with customer service and I offered several alternatives- I (or the mechanic) could go out and purchase the correct part immediately or they could find another way to schedule the following day. The best I was offered was a $100 credit, but this was unacceptable as it certainly would not cover my rental car/ Uber costs for the interim period. I am sure the mechanic was not happy either as he would also have no work the rest of the day since I was the only one on his schedule. The same mechanic returned 5 days later. At the end of the day, he advised that the VVT solenoid now did need repair. There was no way I was doing this again through Your Mechanic. Ironically, a local shop had to do some of the same work again on the valve cover gasket to deal with the VVT. This shop also confirmed that I would need the CV axle replaced (two other shops had indicated the same need). I recognize that it is a more difficult job at my house without the lift available at a shop. What a waste of time and money on my part.

STAY AWAY
February 16, 2022

Contracted with YOURMECHANIC.COM to repair a Ram 1500 and replace the oil pressure sensor of which the quote was 356.40 - but was billed at $440.24. In the process of replacing the sensor they damaged the wiring harness. This caused the knock senor not to function. I was instructed to make an appointment to have the mechanic evaluate the problem for their 100,000 mile warranty. Nothing was said about a 104.99 inspection charge. The mechanic came out plugged into the OB2 and said yes the knock sensor was bad and to setup a new appointment for repair. 3 appointments were scheduled and all were canceled by YOURMECHANIC.COM. Then I received a phone call stating that management had decided that this was too dangers for their mechanic. Wait a second this is the same job they over billed on and performed badly. Now they don't want to fix - what good is a 100,000 mile warranty if your not going to stand behind it. I have asked several time to speak with a supervisor an have not had a call

SCAM- TURN AWAY ASAP
January 27, 2022

This company is holding my prepaid payment hostage after I canceled their service. Due to their mechanic vandalizing/ stealing parts from my vehicle. Mechanic created services for initial parts he stole/ damaged on my vehicle ( suspension belts, power steering multi belts, power steering reservoir and hoses, bolts/ washers and my original power steering pump. As a medical ( Frontline) worker at a hospital, my vehicle is vital to my career. Since hiring this mechanic company my vehicle is no longer operational (running) and it was prior to YourMechanic.com. I'm now having to seek legal help for the return of my funds and parts.

I pre-scheduled service and paid for it for mechanic never showed up and reschedule with me three times in the same day. Then when I called and complained because I had a question for the mechanic about the services they canceled my service and told me they couldn't work with me. So I told the $#*! she was obviously stupid who cancel the $900 service because you have a question for the mechanic. Clearly they will be out of business soon.

Horrible service
January 6, 2022

What a horrible service.
So I make my second appointment 1st time everything went great, so I said they are pretty good right? WRONG
I make my 2nd appointment, I made arrangements at work to go in late on that day, the night before my appointment I get an email saying that my appointment has been cancelled, no reason, no explanation and no reschedule, tried to get in contact with someone, no luck, ibsen a message through the chat, someone replied saying that SOMEONE will get in contact with me, 4 days later no one has, I was planning to schedule with them the service for 120,000 miles which is a very expensive job, you are much better taking the car to the dealer a little bit more expensive but you get a loaner, excellent customer service and they wash your car, you get what you paid for, to me they have 0 stars.

Never Again
December 24, 2021

I called Your Mechanic because they are a mobile service and most of their reviews were good. I had a ball joint knuckle replaced and after driving my car for a couple weeks, not far just around town, I noticed a noise under my car. So I called them up and they sent someone out to find where the noise was coming from. If they found something that was caused by the person who fixed my car they wouldn't charge me, but if the noise wasn't caused by the work they did they said I would be charged $120. Just as I thought the guy said the noise didn't come from their service, even though the noise was coming directly from where I had the work done, so I was charged $120. Moving forward a few weeks later and a long story, the control arm fell right off due to a bolt that THEY placed on. I told them what had happen and the matter was taken to a claims adjuster. A week later they called back saying the bolt THEY placed on that fell off wasn't caused by them. I said, your mechanic did the work on my car and your mechanic placed on the screw that fell off, so how is this not your fault? When the control arm fell off it was when a mechanic at Firestone went to back it up. The manager at Firestone and the mechanic looked at my car and told me that it is the fault of the person who placed the bolt onto the screw that is at fault. So now I have two people who are professional mechanics telling me I'm not at fault. The claims adjuster said they are not at fault and hung up on me leaving me now with a control arm off and me stuck with a car that doesnt work again. So much for honesty and loyalty to their customers. I knew they wouldn't fess up and say it wasn't their fault because if they told the truth they would have to fix the problem they caused. Think twice before hiring a mechanic at Your Mechanic. I'm sure there are a lot of satisfied people that have gone to Your Mechanic, I am not one of them unfortunately.

Yourmechanic is a total fraud. If you want small things to be done like oil change etc, then it is fine. Otherwise, never go for any kind of bigger work more than 50 dollars. They are the worst people.

Not Dependable
December 21, 2021

Scheduled and Pre-PAid for up front The Oil change Service with Water Pump replacement. The Business establishment sent me a text 2 hours before the service stating they need to reschedule after I already took off of work. Called the establishment to see what the issue was and if they can render a discount of any kind for my inconvenience. The Customer Support Agent stated on the Phone stated If they cancel the service "YourMechanic" has the right to charge me an additional fee plus keep the money I paid. Asked Support agent for Manager or supervisor and they stated they have no number but will give me a call back. What kind of Mobile Fake Mechanic service is this. Recently used "RepairSMith.com" and that Mobile Service went smoothly with no issues. What kind of Business are you running here? Middle man non- Licensed Local Mechanic SCAM! Don't use this service Total SCAM!

Don't do it!
December 16, 2021

They never showed up. Never got a call back, when I contacted them, they said they would reschedule for following day. No way! Already wasted one day of work waiting for these guys then having to research other alternatives. Honestly, terrible business!
Also want to point out John was the person that stood me up. Apparently he does it a lot.

I am divorced and a single lady who seems to be taken advantage of all the time when it comes to my car. However, Eduardo was fantastic he explained everything to me and was very professional. However the mechanic who was suppose to work on my car was named John. He was very nice, the repair was scheduled for last Friday at 11:00 am. He called to cancel and say the parts were not on time and he asked if I could reschedule for the next day. He said he lived in Tomball and I live in Channelview, so we agreed to meet at Greenspoint mall on Saturday at 8:30. I drove 37 minutes to get there, got there 30 minutes early so the motor would cool down and then waited another 2 hours and he never showed, called or texted. I texted and called him numerous time and his phone was going to voice mail. Then Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm he texted to say he had an emergency and he was sorry that he no showed, no called and no texted. I agreed to meet him Sunday at Greenspoint mall and again he no showed, no called and no texted. I again drove 37 minutes there and back with a vehicle that was acting up and he no showed, no call, and no texted again. Finally he messaged me again in the late afternoon to tell me it is what it is and things happen. I was truly trusting this process because the way Eduardo did his business it was smooth and I had told so many people about this company. At this point I wish I hadn't. When I called Your Mechanic on Saturday and Sunday, I was told basically, no other mechanics were available and they did not have another mechanic to schedule my repairs with. As a company you would think if a customer has been treated so badly not once but three times something would be done. I am so disappointed in my experience with this company.

Misdiagnosed
November 19, 2021

First of all, it cost me $114 for diagnostic test that took less than an hour. The labor on actual repair is a separate cost. I was expecting they would credit at least half of the cost a paid for diagnosis. This was the case with the other autoshop I experienced with. However, what really bothered me was the misdiagnosed. They did not fix the issue on my car. I did notify them but they want to run another diagnostic test for additional charge. I decided to go elsewhere. I would not recommend "Yourmechanic" to anyone.

Had a terrible experience with two mechanics from Your Mechanic.
1. Found Kevin, the mechanic leaning heavily on the bumper of my 2005 Honda Pilot. Had to ask him to get off my car.
2. Kevin and his associate acted like they've never seen a car with rust before. I changed the starter on car, but because the alternator is very heavy, I thought I'd call the guys out to do that switch for me. They complained from the get go, and were using a drill with a socket wrench on the "rusty" bolt (as they called it). I was worried that using a drill would warp the head of the bolts. They found that I was right and switched to a torc.
3. Kevin paused working on my car and started talking with a prospective customer who walked up to us and started talking about her car. So time was lost on my end. After all this frustration with these guys they complained that it may take longer that usual to replace the alternator; THEN finally said they can't do it. I took my keys and said to heck with them. Waste of my time.
4. The company had the never to still bill me, of which I am fighting for reimbursement from my credit card company.
5. VERY unprofessional and incompetent are these guys, and Your Mechanic. I installed the starter successfully, I'll install the alternator myself!

Repair not performed
October 20, 2021

On 9/22/21 your mechanic performed a diagnostic test on my 2001 Honda Accord with the knowledge that the car was providing the following code: P0401
Description: Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Flow Insufficient Detected. The your mechanic diagnostic results were EGR flow incorrect. Replace EGR valve and clean ports. I was charged $109.00 for this service as expected. On 9/28/21 the mechanic came out to replace the EGR valve and clean the ports per my request at $286.61. The check engine light came and the car didn't pass emissions test. The mechanic came out to inspect on 10/13/21, determined the EGR value was the issue, cleaned ports and warranty was applied and no charge was incurred. Check engine light came on again, called my mechanic to find out what to do next. Warranty department said mechanic will be out on 10/18 to inspect. Mechanic again determined it was the EGR valve. Cleaned ports again. I was charged $109.00. Called your mechanic on 10/19 to inquire about the cost. I was told the warranty department would give me a call back. On 10/20 I hadn't heard from the warranty department. Called to speak with the warranty department to inform them the check engine light is on again and to remove the $109.00 charge. I was again told I would receive a call in 24 to 48 hours. At this time I have wasted 3 hours of my day, spent $504.61 for the problem to not be resolved and $50 on two emission test failures. I am late getting my emissions test done and will now incur a $10.00 late fee and a ticket if I drive the car because I don't have a sticker for the current year on my tag. I took the car to Honda dealership and it will cost me $680 to do the job, as a cleaning kit was needed to be order along with the EGR to resolve the issue. This information is in the details sent out by Honda based on a recall. Your Mechanic missed all of this information upon 3 inspections of the vehicle. Not a reputable company, not dependable or reliable.

I would give -5/5 stars if I could. Worst experience I've ever had with car repairs. They charged me for an inspection I didn't need then told me they would order parts and fix it. They tried to increase the price twice, then after waiting several weeks (almost a month without the car now) and they cancel my appointment the night before saying they can't get the parts anymore. No explanation no apology, no refund. They scammed me for services I didn't need and then ignored my initial issue. No to mention they made me wait till the night before my appointment after waiting for weeks to tell me that they weren't going to get the parts for the job and that if I came up with the parts they would still do it. This is the most pathetic display of customer service I have encountered in a long time. I'm disgusted and furious that they wasted my time, money and I still don't have my car fixed.
