When you want to get rid of your money and don't want something in return? Just join YouPic. I joined 4 years ago and it seemed quit a nice site, but now it's only trying to get as much money as they can without returning a simple thing.
When selling your home, if you do not need to take your furniture with you, don't. In your asking price, you can include the furniture. This will entice many potential home buyers because they do not have to worry about spending thousands of dollars on purchasing new furniture for their home.
Make sure that all dirty dishes are removed from the sink and dishwasher before you show your home. Instead of buyers understanding that you may have been pressed for time, they may get the idea that you are a very sloppy person and probably did not take care of the home as much as you should have.
When you are trying to sell your home you may attract more buyers if you offer incentives to them. Offering to pay the closing costs on a home or throwing in an allowance if appliances are not included in the sale may make things more attractive to potential buyers.
Look, when I first joined the site, it was a pretty good site and the people (other users) there are quite so nice, however, their business model could use some work and that's real.
Look, I get that the site needs money but what I don't appreciate is being limited to ONE photo upload per 12 hours. They've been pushing that premium membership noise for as long as I've been on it but they've gone too far with that crap. It's a photography site, not a shop and, really, who buys photos? Adding onto that, that premium membership is expensive as holy hell.
I love my photos getting attention but I do photography for fun, not as a job. I wish the admins would take that idea into consideration.
I joined youpic about a year ago and I like the community. People seem to try and compare it to Instagram and it's NOT INSTAGRAM! I have found the little online education to be helpful while the ratings other photographers give my images provide direction and perspective. Many of the images are what I call, straight up images, meaning little to no editing, which I really appreciate because the images are real, not photoshopped composites like you constantly find on Instagram. People are saying that there is a $119 charge but I didn't pay that and still have multiple images marked as Inspiration, not many but some. Again, youpic is NOT instagram and I don't see where they try to be.
Seems to me like a scam covered in a wannabe professional outfit. I got hooked onto the page via Instagram PM, while being promised to "boost" my profile and put resources on it to make my work more visible. After I registered on the site, the only thing that happened was that I was contacted several times with the request to buy the premium service with a special discount...
They want you to pay $ 119.88 per year and you get 2-3 Messages every week to do so.
In return you should deliver the content from which the site lives.
Premium on YouPIc costs 119 USD per year or 19 USD per month. I signed up for it and was not impressed at the begging. Aafter about 2 months, I hit the jackpot and got hired for a commissioned work via the YouPic Client platform. I got about 500 USD for that job so
I have used their Premium package to get help in my work. It provides with an unlimited number of uploads and at least 4-5 new clients every year, which is just so amazing for my economy. Recommend it!
A great site for photographers... I really like it! I have received some commissioned work and some new clients with the shop.
Pay us to be "premium". That is what the sit is all about.
Lots of solicitation to become premium. If you are not premium your pics do not go far. Not a photo site. More of a retirement plan for the developers.
They always were pushing their premium offering. $119 a year. Yes you read right. However, I never saw any value in that. It would increase your exposure and more people would like your picture. I suspect many of these are not genuine "likes" but a hope that I'll "like" yours, maybe you'll like mine. Ok that's human nature. I only liked pics, I really liked. There are some good photographers on the site. There is also a lot of lower quality pics that get massive likes due to social interaction or popularity of the photographer. After using it for awhile, the site has a clique highschool feel. The youpic team is clearly after monetizing the site. Endless promotions to get 50% off. Still a whopping $69 for no apparent value. Obviously none of this is working well to pay for the Ferrari of the owner. So now the latest idea us to limit non-paying members to one pic upload every 12 hours. Since my presence is almost non existent, I do care. But it clearly shows the mindset of Youpic. Today I got a personal message from them with a personal 50% off code.
"I really like your work, that is why made a special 50% off coupon for you. Anna Somebody" That is the final straw for me. Stay away. Save your money.
When I first joined YouPic it was free fun Learnt a lot Inspiring even went Premium, then it started Charged me twice as much the following year with out notice. Try to cancel. Got rude response. So i resigned from premium. I have sent Emails messages but still no joy. Now you can only upload one photo a day Shame when YouPic has forgot the loyal member. I do understand that YouPic has to run with adverts money But don't the loyal members who helped to start
I joined and promptly deleted after discovering that this site has the exact same problems as other photography websites promising image sales online; no one visits the site except for other photographers.
They contacted me via linked-in offering discounts. I signed up at 50% 'discount' and they just autorenewed me a year later at premium price 120USD. I tried to cancel the autorenew but it is impossible. They don't reply to a single message. DO NOT USE THIS SITE STEAR CLEAR! The photographs below show how when you click cancel subscription a dialogue box appears and asks 'are you sure?' I click yes and absolutely nothing happens. Paypal are currently investigating. They should be shut down.
They apparently have recruiters that promise you perks for signing up. Once you do, they ghost you. It's just another sleazy tactic to- I'm assuming- lead to a sale by getting you through the doorstep.
A site that employs this sort of behaviour does not elicit trust in me. I thought it was more professional than that.
If you like navel gazing, and accumulating "favorites" ( akin to likes on facebook), "repics" where someone saves your photo to their profile, and maybe getting lucky and having your photo selected as an "inspiration", then you might like YouPic. I joined free for about 10 days, over which I posted 145 ofmy photos, which were viewed over 45K times. I also had almost 4,000 "favorites", almost 2,000 "repics and 2 inspiration stars. I was at Level 11 when I deleted my account. Why did I delete, you ask? Well, Youpic takes a lot of work to advance levels, get fav's and repic's, and inspirations. I started out only going on the site each morning and evening, but quickly found myself checking it more and more during the day. Keeping up with the comments left by others becomes a real chore. You can also buy a premium membership, which gives you perks including supposedly better exposure, but I didn't bite. In the end, all it is boils down to hitech "navel gazing" You might like it, but not for me...
Flickr is getting better. 500px is getting worse. And along comes YouPic which I have used now for a couple of months. Must say I am highly impressed by YouPic platform. Must have for photographers.
This is an Excellent site. I really like the progressive way of this site for last couple of weeks, there was a plenty of likes that is really impressive. Their activities are brilliant and knowledgeable as well.
Firstly, I'm very happy with this social media site! I've had more attention, more useful comments and more feedback in my short time here than years on any other social media site.
Loved the course, it was well presented and I have learned a great deal. I am starting the 2nd course now and am looking forward in learning more skills.
I have closed an account on this site out of frustration. I would say that if you want to be average and get attention this is the place to do it. If you work the system you can get a lot of attention without quality work. People comment to gain points and get awards but it is not for their images. Content is not king here. I would post images that went popular on 500px or made the finals at view bug and I would have 11,000 views and very few likes. I don't want to join a popularity contest I want to gauge the relevance of my work.
I like this website.
It is free. It has an international user base, so you see work from S. E. Asia, Europe, Israel and USA. You can follow other users and they can follow you. Unlike Modelmayhem.com, there are no models as users, only photographers. (There is one Swedish student photographer who posts photos of herself.) Sadly, there is little opportunity to network or exchange information.
I am a photographer specializing in figure/glamour work. I have found the site fairly laissez-faire about what can be posted. They openly allow images containing nudity, but draw the line at pornography. That term is not defined, a potential problem.
Also unlike ModelMayhem, youpic.com does not maintain an authoritarian regime under the surface, and does not have Gestapo-like moderators. The one time I needed to contact management about an issue, they responded in a helpful manner.
In all, I would recommend this site to anyone who would like to see and share a broad range of interesting images from around the world.
Answer: When you send a message to YouPic you will not get an answer. Most of the time it's an automatic generatic answer from the robot.
Answer: I wrote to them to ask the same question. Here was their response: "Its an activity fire we have." Not helpful at all!
Answer: Yes, I get many spam messages from Lisa in the website and to my email. They always ask you to upgrade even more and to ask you money.
Answer: Seems to be working fine for me.
