I was very excited to discover this site as they have a number of high-end apparel options, many of which at a discount from other retailers on the web. Unfortunately, after giving my personal email and having to explicitly allow them to use that information for marketing purposes I was dooped into thinking I could combine their offer for free shipping by sharing a product I was interested in to a friend as well as a percentage off for the aforementioned personal info. Alas, I was wrong. Yoox WILL NOT combine multiple offers on their site. Though that may be their policy, in my experience companies generally will break policy to accommodate customers in order to secure further business. This was also not the case with Yoox. I was quickly denied my request for the free shipping I gave my personal info over for (though they had already taken quick advantage of my email through spam mail already in my inbox) and was told this is standard procedure. No where have I seen a disclaimer that Yoox does not allow multiple offers to be combined. Will not be bringing any future business to the site.
I copied the same title that another customer wrote because I had exactly the same problem. If Yoox doesn't like how your data match, then, they just cancel the order without explanation. Despite I called them when UPS sent me a notification that my package was intercepted by the sender (YOOX) to return it. The package was in the same city I was at the moment, so, just some hours to UPS deliver it to me!
Yoox thought was "suspicious" I live in one country and deliver the package in another country, they didn't understand I am travelling and I need the clothes in the country where I arrived. They didn't give a solution, just said sorry I can't do anything...
But, now, reading all the complaints I think they did me a favor!
Start a website selling too good to be true bargains, get the customers come flooding in, but... when they pay for the items don't actually send them to them, just pretend that you have, when they demand for service and the items, only give vague responses (the less contact the better) and then totally ignore them, then my friend you have money for nothing! Ignore the get rich quick links on the pages, simply get yourself to yoox.com to learn how to lie, cheat and steal, I did, thats why I now operate my own website www.ferrarifor$5.com and I sell Ferrari cars at cut prices, all for $5! Come along and buy one now...
I ordered a very pretty Diane Von Furstenburg dress on sale for $187 and was horrified when it arrived --- It was a rag! The material was flimsy and the color was washed out. It looked like an old beach wrap. Though YOOX accepted the return, they charged an $12 restocking fee. Stay away from this company!
I noticed a credit card charge on my account that wasn't made by me of $91. Also, tried logging in and my account was completely cancelled and I couldn't log in. I called them and asked what was going on and she responded that "it happens all the time". This is a complete inside job and the people that work there probably scam people for small amounts of stuff all the time. DO NOT PURCHASE WITH THEM, AS YOUR CREDIT INFO WILL GET STOLEN. The only way an account can be cancelled is if you call them to cancel it. Obviously, it wasn't me.
I am so frustrated with this company. My first & last time ordering from them. I sent them an email...
Hello.
Unfortunately, this is a complaint. I was excited at first, until I received my order. I was excited because your company was the only company to have the Pharrell William Adidas in stock for little girls. My daughter starts school August 13. So I thought these shoes would be perfect for her first day of Pre-K. She wears a size 12. I ordered a size 12, which shows in my order confirmation. However, I did not receive a size 12 today. Instead, I got a size 11 1/2.
I called Customer Care and told the representative everything I just mentioned. She says "You need to go to UPS and return the shoes." First of all, do not tell me what I need to do. Secondly, it was not my mistake in the first place. I have to take time out of my day to return some shoes I did not order. If THE WAREHOUSE did not have the size 12 in stock, then why was I not notified of this so that I could get my money back in the beginning. Why do I have to wait until the last minute to receive some shoes I did not order and then determine if I will send them back or not. NOOO! That's NOT customer care!
I'm frustrated. It's very inconvenient for me. I don't think this is right. The shoes cost way more than other retailers also, so basically I was tricked in so many ways by this company. From getting the wrong size to being told what to do by "customer care" before I even made a decision, that's ridiculous. Now I have to find my daughter some more shoes because I'm stuck with these shoes. There's no way I should have to go through this. I order online all the time, and I must say this has been my first problem. I did not expect this from a well-known company.
You can ignore me like the representative did if you want to, but just know that I am not happy about this.
If yoox doesnt like your shopping pattern they just cancel all of your orders without explanation
I used to buy for thousands of euro's a year
Now they cancel every order i make, i have no idea why
So much for loyalty
Every time i return an item, when they receive it they send me an email:
We were informed by Customs that the Proforma Invoice is missing: it was probably lost in transit.
We therefore need to provide Customs with another copy for your return to be released and arrive safely at our warehouse.
Please email us a new copy as soon as possible. Should we not receive the form, we will be obligated to refuse the return which will be reshipped back to you.
EVERY TIME YOU RETURN AN ITEM THEY WILL SEND YOU THIS EMAIL. AND EVEN IF YOU SEND THEM AGAIN THE PROFORMA INVOICE, THEY MIGHT NOT REPLY TO YOU, THEY MIGHT NOT TELL YOU THEY RECEIVED IT, THE WORST SHOPPING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE.
Like numerous others, I inserted my credit card info, agreed to terms and conditions, was charged my cc, and then received an e-mail telling me my order was cancelled. Of course no explanation provided, no apology for my wasted time and for my storing of personal info on their website. Horrible business.
I ordered a pair of gaimo espadrilles from Yoox 2 weeks ago and according to them they would be delivered in 4-7 days. Although I got the confirmation e-mail the same day I noticed through the Ups delivery tracking that my order hadn't been shipped. After a week I decided to contact the customer service of Yoox via e-mail. Their answer was that they opened an investigation with Ups concerning my order and that they would contact me as soon as possible. Another week passed by and since I got no response from them I contacted Ups myself. Ups e-mailed me back very soon and told me that they were not responsible for the delay since they did not have the package in their possesion (!)
I e-mailed Yoox again and their answer was that they were not able to deliver my order and that they cancelled it! With no explanation or information on the situation and they just put the item of my order back on sale! When I asked them the reason of the cancellation they answered me that there was a thechnical problem and the shipping never started!
To sum up, I feel cheated and I am not planning to order anything from Yoox ever again!
I placed a few orders end of last year at YOOX website, I kept some items and returned the balance. Their customer service dept made an international call informing me my return rate was too high, they made a decision to close my account. I reasoned with the rep, how could a multi-million dollar business not honor their "Return and Refund" policy, and expect their customers to keep every item ordered. He said he will review my case with his supervisor. The following week, they called me again with the conclusion to ban me from shopping on their site. Warning potential customers that is tempted by YOOX discounts, DO NOT SHOP ON THIS SITE!
Few years ago they started charging for "local charges and duties" which is nonrefundable. It's about 30% of the purchase amount.
So, I recently paid $54 "local charges and duties" on $177 order to Canada.
When I contacted local customs, they advised that customs duties for my order would be like $12
Also we have 5% local taxes on goods, but it's refundable if you return the merchandise
So, YOOX simply put my $40 in their pocket. Their customer services could not reasonably explain why they do it.
This seems like a scam to me, therefore I do not recommend buying from this company and will close my own account with them.
Stay away! Horrible customer service. Sizing is WAY OFF! No way to get this right. Horrible customer service, takes long time to ship, you have to pay to return items (NO FREE RETURNS - BEWARE!) Will never use this company again.
What is wrong with yoox? Same happenend with me like many other costumers i read on different sites, yoox cancelled 4 orders without any explication... what the hell is wrong with them? They sell clothes online, some i like when trying on some i don't so yes i make returns? A lot of the time allso it was their fault (wrong item. Fawlty eg) returning items is that what is the problem? I have to guess because costumer service is lieterally non existent... i was a generally happy costumer for 5 years bought average 1500eu a year. Feels really akward. I hate yoox!
I MUST ADD THAT THE 5 STAR RATINGS THAT SUDDENLY APPEAR I DO NOT TRUST AT ALL
I normally don't bother with reviews but this time I feel obliged to do it. I was looking for beautiful white summer sandals and found designer sandals on YOOX that I fell in love with. It was the only pair left my size and I combed the internet believe me. After I ordered them, I checked the reviews of the website (I know it was supposed to be the other way round, but hey). So many bad reviews, why? I lived in fear until delivery which was, by the way, less than a week from Italy to the UK. The sandals are GORGEOUS, and I got them for LESS THAN HALF the original price! Naturally, I did not have to return them, so cannot comment on the return service, but the return labels were enclosed in the box with clear instructions.
I have been shopping with YOOX for over 2 years, placed over 40 Orders. I've never had an issue with sizes or returning items. All stock is 100% Genuine as I like my designer wear and would be able to spot fakes from a distance. It's more of a Online Outlet, items which don't sell in the stores within the season are listed on YOOX.
Their wonderfully written reviews all of a sudden, it's pure propaganda
I believe they should not be allowed to sell IN THE US, unless their policies are brought to a decent standard
THEY ARE LYING BY NOT STIPULATING ALL OF THEIR GARBAGE RULES WHEN YOU BUY OR RETURN
"Their return policy is HORROR.
DO NOT EVER CHOSE THE STORE CREDIT, known as moneyoox you cannot get rid of.
If you pay for a new order using store credit and credit card and you have to return something, they will NOT GIVE YOU THE MONEY BACK to Credit Card, THEY WILL KEEP THE MONEY AND GIVE THE STORE CREDIT INDEFINITELY.
I had some good european designers buys until I made the mistake to opt for store credit.
DO NOT EVER DO IT
I honestly believe they should not be allowed to do business in US, unless they change their policies and WRITE BIG, BLACK ON WHITE THE TERMS WHEN YOU PURCHASE OR RETURN
They are cheap and greedy
I ordered three items in the last few weeks. The first was a polo shirt that didn't fit correctly, returned for a refund. The second item was a cardigan and they sent the entirely wrong item, returned for a refund. I haven't received the third item yet, black ankle boots, and I'm hoping they send the right item and right size. Even if they do, I won't be spending any more money here. Shipping takes too long and they charge you to ship your returns back despite the return being their fault. I have written and called with no response. Not sure if I'll even receive my money back. I may have dispute the charges with my bank. All this trouble for nothing.
Horrible experience. I've been a customer of yoox for many years. All of a sudden, my orders started getting "cancelled" with no explanation whatsoever, and that's after I received an email saying my order was confirmed. This has been going on since 2/2, almost a full month. I've changed credit cards and tried again. I've now had 4 orders confirmed, and then cancelled. The worst part is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I cannot find out what's going on. No one has emailed me back in a month... I call every few days and no one returns my calls. And no one can tell me what's going on. I am beyond frustrated and have never written one of these before but I have no other recourse. It's totally unexceptable to run a business this way!
Contrary to what were discussed here, I have great experience with Yoox. First, the discounts is good. Though the shipping can be biting. I am quite okay with off season stuffs since they are selling at deep discounts. I have bought clothes, shoes, belts and scarfs from them. All are good quality with excellent workmanship. I bought 1 MM6 shoes and went to see the real one in store before buying from yoox. So I am pretty sure it is authentic. For the clothes, I can only comment that the workmanship and quality is excellent. It does not look like fake to me. Hmm... except for the belt, it came with slight stain but I kept it since I bought at 70% off so cannot expect perfection. So far, the delivery is prompt and they have tracking once your order is placed. The packaging is good as well. As for their customer service, I actually find them to be great. They replied my emails very promptly when I tried to cancel my orders due to simple mind change. They were efficient. I returned an item before and it has tracking til the parcel is delivered to Yoox. I got refunded via my credit card in a week's time. No big problems at all. Thus I bought alot from them. I do agree that the representation of their items on site can be improved upon. And I am fine with paying return shipping coz alot of other sites charges return shipping as well like shopbop, matchesfashion etc. they are running a business and return ship costs are not cheap. I recently returned a few items from my post chinese new year shopping spree. I emailed them and they replied me they have received but are taking longer to refund due to peak periods which is reasonable too. As to yoox blocking customers who returned alot. To be fair, this is not a new practice on online sites. I cancelled my first 2 orders from neiman marcus and after that I cannot access the site anymore. They have a policy to block these customers with undesirable shop pattern. Well, i just bring my money somewhere else since they have deemed me undesirable so early on. Haha.
Answer: Hadeel, I've been a customer close to 20 years. The past 10 years I've been purchasing from YOOX designers for between £5-10K annually. The past three years I've been sent items that was fake. I don't trust them anymore. I won't buy any expensive designer items from them anymore. There are plenty of professional companies out there on the web that won't cheat.
Answer: I have been with them for 3 and a half years now and I have never received fake items from them. Also they offer quite generous return policy, so you could buy a returnable item and examine it, and return it to them if you think it's a fake. Very simple. Usually the companies which sell fakes don't offer such a generous return policy.
Answer: I placed an order with YOOX on March 6,2025 (Order #0603Y8D9E25129) for €1252, delivered via UPS locker. The locker code did not work, so I couldn’t collect my package. UPS investigated and confirmed the parcel was lost on April 9, but YOOX repeatedly denied receiving the investigation result and refused to refund me. Despite multiple requests and UPS confirmations sent to YOOX, customer service ignores my refund requests. It’s now May 28, and I still have no money back. This is unacceptable poor service and lack of accountability. Beware if you order from YOOX — they may fail to refund lost parcels and give conflicting information.
