Yelp is a scam. Because I'm not an active yelp member my reviews get booted to the irrelevant reviews section and have no bearing on buisness I want to review. Very disappointed and highly suggest everyone look at Google reviews. It's way more accurate in my opinion.

Trash don't use fake reviews are ok real ones are not and won't let me take my company off of yelp.

They sell their services bundled in multiple packages and charges. When you cancel they still keep on something to continue to charge you! No refunds offered even if they are stealing your money with their practices. Stay away from these thieves!

I wish I had money and time to take this case to court.
As a small business owner I paid for advertising on Yelp and worked very hard to satisfy my customers. Several of them nicely wrote us review ( without us asking them), but each time after few days, Yelp removed the reviews.
I spend hours discussing the issue with customer service, but they did nothing for me.
Soon I noticed the same problem is happening for other businesses.
Yelp's goal is to remove the good reviews, this way they have to advertise with Yelp for ever.
This is nasty, but I assure it's a billion dollars law suit for a brave lawyer.
Can't wait to see this case in court of law.

I own a hair braiding business & Yelp reached out to promote my business.
On two events now, Yelp has deleted all my 5-star reviews. I asked- did Yelp help promote the business or downgrade my business by deleting honest reviews? Yelp is such a pathetic failure for everyone. They continually fail to refund you even though they are terrible to one enterprise. I am devastated by their actions on my business.

I tried to cancel my yelp service right after I started it, having had second thoughts. These bastards continued withdrawing from my account. They set up a 2 stage cancellation process so they can continue taking money for doing nothing. Their service is out of date and they have no business ethics. Don't do it, ebusiness has moved on and Yelp has found a way to suck more money out of people that have realized the poor return. No one uses it any more anyway. Stay away from this non-service!

I responded to a YELP ad promo and was made specific promises (lies) and charged CC anyway. No cussvc

Yelp has terrible customer service and a ridiculous lack of accountability for service provided. I would gladly pay twice as much if people would simply "Do what they say". They tried to steal almost $500 ($50/day) for services never rendered. Sorry, not this guy. They hung up on me when I called to try to resolve the mistakes they made and that was after almost an hour of holding the line.

I own a small hair salon business where reviews are a big deal. Currently I have 27 public reviews and 23 hidden reviews. Yelp won't give me a reason why they hide my 23 reviews but want me to keep spending money on ads? No thanks.

THEY ARE SO GOOD AT TRYING TO GET YOUR BUSINESS BUT NEVER EVER ANSWER ANY CALLS IF YOU TRY TO GET AHOLD OF THEM AND THEN THEY CHARGE YOU AN ARM AND A LEG FOR A SERVICE THAT YOU NEVER EVER GOT. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH THEM - THEY SAID THEY WILL CALL YOU BEFORE YOUR CREDIT IS OVER AND THEY NEVER WILL AND WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND OVER 500 FOR NOTHING MONTHLY.

Please, You don't use this app, they steal your money. They Charge you for everything and you don't get anything back, they hide information for you and don't explain you details about all the charges

Yelp serves no purpose for business owners as they will allow anyone to say anything about a business. You can go online right now and lie about a company and although a company can prove that the allegations are completely false yelp will not even look into the validity of the claim. They let anyone write anything they want and use anonymous names and email address. Do not sign up for this company if you have an online presence. The only thing they will respond to you about is if you buy advertising from them. There are laws in place to fight them but unfortunately you will have to spend time and money. Stay as far away from this company as you can. Many business owners agree and are subjected to the same unlawful acts. Take a look a look at their terrible ratings. They let anyone who can type say what they want and there is nothing you can do but pay a company thousands of dollars to remove un validated remarks.

YELP is the biggest SCAM ever! DO NOT WORK WITH THESE CLOWNS! They railroad small businesses by suppressing legitimate reviews in an attempt to force business owners to work with them. Pay to play is the name of their game, except they don't deliver leads even if you do pay! Their own business rating confirms how bad their service is and the experience they provide to existing and past clients. And if you cancel your service with them, your monthly ad spend budget, expect to see legitimate reviews disappear. They hide behind their so-called software algorithm to further suppress reviews and harm small businesses all over the US. BUY BEWARE! These guys deserve a negative rating, save your hard earned money and partner with companies that want to help your business by investing in you! YELP = TRASH!

I believe Yelp publicizes defamatory reviews and then will hide your multiple positive reviews. Then they barrage legitimate businesses with calls and pop ads to make you think if you pay them they will hide the defamation. If you don't give in to this extortion plan they use SEO tricks to keep drawing clicks to put you out of business. They would allow a reputable local physician to be named in a review as a murderer with no vetting or proof. Ruin families for profit.

Please don't use Yelp, and don't buy their stock. We all must stand up against this greedy, evil business model created and run by Jeremy Stoppelman.

Twice now when I have said "no, thank you" to advertising my small business on yelp they have taken all of my five star reviews and made them not hidden.

When confronted they claim that it's their algorithm, but based on the number of people with this exact same complaint it's obvious it is not.

Reviews that were recommended for years all of a sudden or not recommended?

It is no doubt bullying in an attempt to get you to pay for advertising to get your ranking back.

Yelp removes just about all 5 star reviews and lists them under not recommended. Then only posts the bad reviews. When flagged for promoting other companies or flag for harassment. Every single time it comes back as denied. I even flagged one guy. They said they will not remove it. Then the bots removed it anyways. And the next day I checked and that 1 star review is back because i tried to flag it. Yelp is the worst. It is not accurate since people only go there to complain. The good reviews all go to google and no one actually uses yelp expect for the people who want to slander us and complain. Yelps only focus is the bad about companies and not the good.

As a customer using this retail store. I have noticed prices are so much higher than other box stores. The lack of hardware items with over prices on Garden/Paint, allows myself to leave and buy these items at different locations. As I see sale prices are marked up 15 to 30 % to off set for the profit of this company. Thanks but no Thanks as I move on.

If you don't pay Yelp, they'll hide a majority of your positive reviews in order to drive down your rating. If you start paying them your 'unapproved' positive reviews will magically become 'approved' raising your score. They're an extremely unethical company.

Horrible size chart, miss represented material, bad, bad, return policy, refuse refunds in a way that always costs the customer money. Dishonest company. They rip you off. Any positive reviews of this company are probably put there by the company.
