I identified with all the reviews here, YP is the worse service I had ever paid for! I wish I read this website before signing the contract!

Terrible Service
January 4, 2021

Tried calling them numerous times. Can't get ahold of anyone. Tried claiming my listing with automated pin code verification. Doesn't work. Website and company is a joke and a money grab. Don't waste your money advertising with them.

They call themselves 'Leading Canadian digital company' but I tried multiple times on their website to get a digital bill with no success. Sent them a written request with my bill payment to cancel the service back in September no response. Then after a few phone calls in which I was cut off, they tell me I can't cancel because 'the book' is published. We are in Northern Alberta and have not recieved 'the book' for years, if there even is one. They are pretending that their service is mainly 'the book' when you try to cancel, then why call yourself 'Leading Canadian digital company'

YELLOW PAGES IS A SCAM
December 19, 2020

They sell you the service and don't provide you with the proper advertisement. They charge your credit card every month regardless of you dissatisfaction. They have horrible customer service. The staff turnout is so poor that each agent I get on the phone ends up leaving the company. The original lady that helped me is a scammer as well. They make you promises that your advertisement will be at the top google searches meanwhile mine is now 3rd on the list. Emails bounce back and nobody will put you in contact with a supervisor. Horrible horrible services and a scam no doubt!

Do not apply
November 26, 2020

I would never recommend such an evil company called yellow pages. During your training you are sold a dream saying that everything will be fine, that you are not saving lives etc... but that you have to provide impeccable customer service. But the reality is, they are only bent on selling instead of providing exceptional service. By teleworking, I can say that we leave you to yourself and often reproach you for minor offenses. Their platform generally works every other day, their equipment is as dysfunctional as the management of the company. They operate by trial and error constantly and hope that one day they will have an exemplary operating model. They are cramming for 7 weeks and demand that when you come out of training you become an expert as if you have been working for the company for 10 years. Stressful environment to the MAX! I do not recommend anyone to consider a position in this company. They don't value their new hire. They prey on new hire when making mistakes in order to fire them before they can be unionize.

Verbal contract
November 3, 2020

So they made me say "yes, I agree" it was suppose to be a 3 months trial and ended up being a full year verbal contract? Never received a contract by email. They said it will be monthly payments, I never provided my credit card number. I never received an invoice. After a year and half, they called me and tried collecting. Where are my invoices, where's my written contract? Apparently they tried sending the invoices by email but were not going through. They try talking you through a contract when you're busy at work and not focused 100% on the conversation.

The Calico Cat
October 30, 2020

My husband, daughter, and myself, went here with great expectations after seeing this Tea Room advertised in a Vancouver Island visitor's book. What a disappointment-compared to all that we have been to-and there were many! The tea for two platter of $54 was crazy for what we were given. Top layer was some small fruits, then a sandwich cut in four between us, of excess bland cream cheese with 2 thick tomato slices. Next was a tiny croissant each of agsin, thick cucumber, and the same blob of bland cream cheese. Desert was a huge scone- which was nice- with lemon curd and raspberry jam, and whipped cream. Then two tiny one- bite squares between us. Since I am diabetic, I asked for more savoury than sweet- the answer to that was 2 tiny egg sandwiches each! It was awful and tasteless. The most annoying part was that there were three woman at the next table in this small room a few feet away from us, who were having their tea leaves read, and the woman doing this was talking out loud for all three readings containing some very personal questions, and her own "readings." "We began to feel embarrassed for them, and had to talk louder to hear our own conversations-never mind us trying to block out the too personal information about these women. It was very ridiculous to be put in this situation. As well, another disappointment was that there were only maybe four very ordinary, everyday, at home teas to choose from. I tried to like this, as it was an "experience" for us in what looked like a cute old house with some history to it, but WHAT a price to pay for the two pieces of cucumber, and tomato and a very unrelaxing hour!. Our daughter had the plowman's lunch -and so help me, I won't even go there about that!
This is the honest truth, and I am sad to give such a review, but we felt angry, and disappointed, and the tea reading woman thing was just icing on the cake that we would love to have had!.

Yellow pages was the worst advertising you could possibly get. If we could give 0/5 we would, not even joking.

Customer service is terrible, they hide important information in the contract so read that carefully, or listen over the phone carefully and ask questions and them to repeat it... but just don't go with yellow pages and save yourself from all of this. For example, they mumbled over the phone that our rate per month in locked in so had resign for another year 3 months in at a new rate, which they said we're lucky they even did that and above all this... all the calls we got was from other advertisers. Worst decision our business ever made but biggest relief getting rid of them. Hope this helps someone out there.

Best advertisement is truck or car graphics we have found at a way lower cost. Take care

Terrible service
October 22, 2020

This is Raja Wholesalers CC, my phone number is *******199. I've been trying to sort this out for the last couple of months and I'm totally frustrated. On my Telkom bill, Trudon is charging me close to R5000 for a suscribtion I did not subscribe to. I've contacted Telkom on numerous occasions- which I do have reference numbers for and telkom says the case is still open and I need to contact Trudon. It's impossible to contact Trudon as whenever you try to call them it says they're unavailable. This is totally uncalled for, this matter needs to urgently be resolved. Also, I received another Trudon invoice which I also did not apply for. I did not have a discussion or confirm anything with Cheryl kannemeyer (subscription ID *******). This is a seperate issue aside from the one with telkom. These both matters need to be sorted out urgently- I'm going to ICASA complains, daily news and social media.

Kind regards
Suleman Raja

What a waste of time...
October 16, 2020

Reverse phone search only lets one know that other people are receiving calls from that number then you are asked to write a review. It does offer a search of cell numbers for a price, please be careful with that, the free trial need to be terminated or they will extract money using the information supplied by yourself.

I contacted yellow pages to ask them to remove a website they have listed under the business I work for as it's not correct. AND IT WAS THE WORST GUEST SERVICES OF MY LIFE, I've never felt so patronized and not listened too, would not recommend in a million years.
I mentioned that the URL was being hosted through the yellow pages, the owner did originally set it up but no longer remembered the email associated with his business account...
Here is some of the things an agent said to me through the chat...

Agent - Hey, I understand your request but we have nothing to do with it. This is google were talking about...
Me - No... I think you've misunderstood. The information for the [business website] is all the same information as the store, it's not a different website.\
Agent - It is a different website as I have both in front of me and neither are the same.
Me - Same address, same number. Can you pass me onto someone else
Agent - Oh yes, I see that. Well someone on your side probably made a free website with Wix.com
Me - No, the Wix one is the one we're currently working on [other website] is owned by the gallery but is hosted through yellow pages, I just wanted more information around this, and to also remove the [other website] from the yellow pages website
Agent - Contact the number I provided earlier.

Crooks
October 15, 2020

I hired Yellow Pages to manage my Google Ads. For several reasons I was dissatisfied with their service and decided to learn how and do it on my own. I asked YP months in advance when my obligations were over with them and the customer service said July. I called in August to cancel my service.

YP claimed I was now on another year-long contract! I had of course not been told about any such thing, let alone signed for it. It was absurd - who has ever heard of such a thing? I said, "Absolutely not. I was 100% not notified that I was under any such obligation." But when it comes down to it, they will give your info to a debt collection agency, which ruins your credit rating. They have all the power.

He "let me" cancel with 3 months notice. Which again, is completely absurd. They're crooks. Do not deal with them. They just simply don't operate under any kind of normal business policies.

Never again
October 1, 2020

Due to the pandemic the travel industry has been hit hard. Called to cancel and they say there was an email sent out to auto renew for the year. I did not receive the email. They will not let me cancel without a 3 month penalty. All they kept saying was that this was the only option and this is their way of helping. I have no problem with a 30 day cancellation but 3 months is way too much. When things pick up I will be finding another way to advertise.

Yellow pages ads are scam
September 14, 2020

Help stop yellow pages scams I have got trapped by a yellowpages.ca sales team got in a year long contract paying $72 every month, they will try to trape you by saying we are no. 1 on google we have special deal with Google to rank your business listing high on google, they are the only certified google partners, they will show you nonsense traffic clicks data which never deliver results. I have received no business yet in past 10 months I have got one call in the entire period of 10 months i would highly recommend to stay away from yellow pages and even yelp they are both the same company they wouldn't deliver any results 0 ROI you will definitely lose your time and money 100%, even after cancellation they will still charge your credit card, there are thousands of negative reviews available on many trusted forums against YP, I would highly recommend using other online advertising services.

Fear uncertainty and doubt is their tactics. Terrible customer service. Watch out for the contract, after you realize you've been had, and it doesn't perform, generate business or increase your exposure on the net, no way of getting out of it. Check out the better business bureau. They will worn you of their shady business practices. Save your money and use a good it company to manage your analytics and business on the internet. Wpulfd give less then one star but have to to get review posted.

Do not even think about it.
I hope Yellow Pages is a thing of the past and go bankrupt from all their bullsh! T.
These guys rig stats both before and after you sign up.
Anyone working for these guys should have a bad conscience. What a crooked business.

You're locked in a contract no matter what you try to do, with next to NO leads because NO ONE cares or gives a $#*! about Yellow bull$#*! Pages.

95$ a month for bs, and they'll keep billing you with no way of getting out of the contract if you don't pay up.

Lesson learned, don't make the same mistake.

From the very beginning when made me do a over the phone telephone contract I was very hesitant but thought that this was a professional company who actually cared about there business relationships. Boy was I wrong. They lied to me, cheated me, mislead me every step. I thought I was signing on to be placed into Google adds, and yellow pages.ca but what it actually was, was an app that is only used be a very few people. This add only showed up in my city and maybe one or two others and for $125.00 a month this is a rip off. Not only did I try to cancel numerous times but I had to stop payments to them on my credit card. They changed there emails saying they never received my emails, nobody ever got back to me, they lied about my logo which they said they would do for me when I signed on, a few days later they said it woukd be extra to do a good logo. They never fixed issues with my add, they pretty much signed me up and did nothing. I never recieves one call, not one email, and only a few views from most likely friends and family who I shared the add with.
After my one year contract was up, they kept my add up, and are doing that so that they can continue charging me interest on my $2400. 00 owing, every month they send me a bill to pay the interest via email, they harass me in every way they can.

Lesson learned. Do you homework on companies before signing up with them.

Yellow pages is a very corrupt and horrible company.

I wish I coukd give them a minus rating.

STAY FAR AWAY
September 2, 2020

Not 1 sale from YP over 6 months. They refuse to cancel subscription so they will continue to withdrawal $142/month from my account. No compassion for small home based businesses trying to stay above water even during the financial strains of life today. As long as they bring in the money who cares about the little guy. Worst decision ever.
