I got my website done by Yellow Page to make it easier for my client to use online booking tools for a small business Barbershop, but that was the worst ever decisions I made that going by Yellow Page…
Online booking never worked with my client I'm i'm stuck with them for a year and I have been since March 2021, when people book an appointment there is some devices are not working and I call them all the time every time they say we fix it for you but it works for a day or two and then I get a complain again from my claim that they cannot book that did hurt my business a lot I don't recommend anyone for yellow page.
The YellowPages manager refused to waive the 3 month cancellation period even though all of their staff (from every level going up to manager) admitted to not notifying of the automatic renewals. They lie and their service is garbage. We only got an ESTIMATED (Yellowpages own words, not guaranteed) 0-2 calls per month for the entire contract with them. They promised ads on google and that never happened. The ads were on their own site. They also said they were the only google ad partner in Canada. That is an out right lie! They can't be trusted.
They stole more than $3000 overall when no real reason. I cancelled my account over 2 years ago yet got any bill for this month of $400. Hope karma kicks their $#*!, horrible people. God is always watching you take from innocent small business owners.
Yellow Pages charged us for over 6 years of an ad on their site with a wrong business name - so we didn't even showing up on search. We didn't know until I searched on yp.ca and don't find our ad. When I confront to them, the answer was they not responsible for their mistake (they set up the ad). So when I wanted to cancel the service, they said there is a contract for auto renew (which I don't aware of) so they will charge for another 3 months.
ya.ca has terrible service, very unreliable, don't get any result. We won't recommend for any one.
I subscribed for 2 months and got nothing to show for the 200 a month I was paying so I called to cancel my subscription. Next month they still charged me. So I called to cancel my subscription and they told me I had to pay the balance (there was no reason there should be a balance) then they said I will never hear from them again and guess what they stilled charge me 200 dollars. So I stopped paying and now the collection agency says I owe them money. But in reality they owe me close to 800 dollars. Yellow pages either sucks at their job or its a total scam.
Seriously.
I respected this company at one time. Now they are just out to scam a business as far as I am concerned. They do NOT listen to their customers. I could rant for an hour. I will sum up one part of my complaint. They have shady contract "Auto" renewal practices that they did not make well known. And... no no you can NOT cancel their yearly (auto renewal) contract unless you do so within a small window of time just before it renews again... and! Sure they can stop putting your ads on line. BUT! They will still be charging you. Because in my opinion they are not an ethical business anymore. Way to go Yellow Pages.
Useless Piece of $#*! company. Scam, fake reviews, run by crooks.
Runs small businesses to the ground
Corporate Greed
Don't waste your time these people are stunned.
Listed my business with incorrect name for weeks, the digital marketing campaign was left 64% complete... I paid 100%!
They should just give up and accept failure instead of ripping others off with their sht services
I manage my own google my business yet I still pay them to not Manage my gmb wasted money shame on me
Yellow Pages has been sending Bills under a cancelled account. They do not return e-mails, including the management contact, previously given. I have been trying to resolve this for 5 months -- no answer just more bills to a previous business, through Bell. Bell refuses to cancel the auto charges and says you have to do it through Yellow Pages, but Yellow Pages will not respond.
They sold me some contract and the service delivered was absolutely non-existent. M, zero results, zero customer service, zero genuine help aside from telling me that I'm stuck in their godamn contract. They absolutely could care less, worse experience ever, if I could sue them I would. Do NOT deal with YP!
Yellow pages has been nothing short of a nightmare, we have had them to do our email and made a website for us. email rarely works, website looks like a child made it and they also have the absolute worst customer service out there... good luck trying to understand or have what your saying understood. I think 98% of their customer service people dont even understand english. Just absolutely terrible in every single way. I would do the best i could to stay away from this horrible company and horrible customer service.
Singularily the worst experience I have ever encountered from a marketing partner. And this after investing in their service for over a decade. Hard to say if it is a training issue, a cultural issue or both, but, we experienced absolutely terrible account management resulting in being charged for services we no longer required over several months this past fall. We did receive a credit after some effort and escalating our issue... but essentially we had a "dead" website that did not represent our brand and the changes our company went through through the COVID-19 period, and, was not well marketed.
When we looked around for another solution and decided to try another parter for a new website and other services... YP decided to continue charging us for digital services until the end of our contract. There was no ackowledgement of the terrible service we received, the awful, disfunctional website we had, or the many years of partnership we had with them (valued at $400K+).
The explanation? They had already forecasted their revenues to shareholders and could do nothing for us. Further, their contracts are structured to lock clients in over multiple timeframes making it challenging to ease out of them.
We will never engage with this awful compnay again and highly recommend you do the same.
Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life ordered greasy food over cooked broccoli tasteless sweet and sour pork no taste over spiced Ginger pork
They will remove your business review to favor the business upon some bogus reason. Stay away from them and do not spend your money on any of their products or services.
I would leave a no star rating if I could. After getting roped in to advertise on YP, the sales person wasn't even able to help me with several areas of their website portal so I could edit my business information. I was also not showing up in the listings where I was promised to be be placed. I have tried to reach them several times over the last 2 weeks to cancel my listing and they have not returned my calls or emails. I have phoned the YP office many times and have talked to their service people there. I get the same story every time that they have escalated the situation and someone will call me. JUST ANOTHER BROKEN PROMISE. I have not heard from anyone in 2 weeks. I guess they think that by not contacting me that the account will remain open. Well I have contacted my credit card company and they are aware of the situation so no further charges will be paid to the scamming Yellow Pages Team. Save your money. Look elsewhere if you want to do any online advertising.
Completely biased, we wrote a negative review regarding banking institutions and they did not allow to publish it
I have been with White Pages for a couple years and I wanted to cancel and they said I was under contract. They said they Auto Renew there service but they did not send me an email notifying me this or they did not get my authorization to renew my contract. I thought I was on a month to month term after my original 12 month contract expired. What a BS service, Yellow Pages is so useless, Google is way better as everyone uses it, save your self the money and if you want to boost your online presence use Google as your service
As a business I wish to increase my online presence and felt the need to go through yellow pages. Unfortunately they've lied with termination where after 1.5 months and if I was unsatisfied, I was able to terminate my contract over the call. No transactions have progressed on my end as the business through yellow pages. I would not recommend using this services and spend it through social media is a way better and organic way to get your business driving.
DO NOT sign up for any listing or marketing with this company EVER!
Simply read the reviews on this site to get a clearer picture on why this is.
It will take many years and 100s of efforts from you to sever any ties with Yellowpages.ca once they sign you up. This is NO JOKE! They will do nothing to improve your internet ranking and no customers will come to you because of your listing or Virtual Profile. Paper and print is also dead so being in their book is a waste. Pointless service that will not yield results for your business.
I hope that this review will prevent at least few people from being sucked into their SCAM enterprise.
Warn everyone!
I have been dealing with them for over 4 months with trying to get them to credit our account for overcharges. We cancelled our YP ads in May and the cancellation took effect Aug 1. They continued to charge our Bell account for Aug, Sept & Oct. I contacted them in September and asked them to reverse the 2 months. Received the bill in Oct and they only credited 1 month and then charged an additional month. Emailed and phoned several times since then with no results. Bell has since charged our account for late payment charges. Finally spoke to someone at end of Dec that I thought was going to get this resolved. Requested that YP have Bell reverse these charges. I was told that someone from billing would call me within a few days to get all this resolved. No contact from YP. I called today and finally got confirmation that the credit was processed only on Jan 6. But they did not reverse the late payment charges. I have to do that with Bell. That was the final straw for me. The late payment charges are due to their incompetence and delay in providing a credit to us. They are responsible for these charges. I would never recommend Yellow Pages to anyone.
Answer: Hire a lawyer. They are scam artists... trust me. Stay far away from this company
Answer: Our contractual terms are for a 12-month period (or a 6-month period for certain products). Customers are able to cancel their contract with Yellow Pages by providing notice 3 months before the expiry of the term. If not, contracts automatically renew, as mentioned in our terms and conditions. We invite you to contact us at 1-844-875-4290 to discuss this further. Thank you.
Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
