After our big pandemic I decided I needed to cut back on expenses so I cancelled my subsription as I felt this was really doing nothing for me as they made it sound when I signed up. However I still recieved invoices so I called to make a deal to clear the debt to stop recieving there mail but yet I got another invoice for something so I paid it. A month later goes by and I get another invoice for a $1.01! Just goes to show theres no customer care. Just a bunch of automated machines that are running to print them money.
Thanks
Chad
What a truly horribly company to deal with. I had advertised with them for many years in the yellow pages and then stopped when printed books became irrelevant. They continued to bill me (renewed my contract for another year without my signature or consent). I have repeated asked them to stop billing our us and cancel the contract and they refused. They then called one day when my receptionist was her and recorded her saying that she "agreed to continue to use yellow pages" and so they renewed for another year... She didn't even know who she was talking to. She just thought the printed book would be helpful. Crooks.
I am a financial services rep in Ontario and wanted to get a website to promote my business. However, I don't have the working knowledge of building a website and don't consider myself very proficient in marketing either.
Therefore, I really liked the services "offered" by Yellow Pages about being able to take care of the website design and build for me. However, my experience with them has been terrible. The website design is mediocre and it is obvious that the wording on the site is canned and unprofessional. Upon reviewing the draft version of the site, I was left with the option of publishing a website that doesn't represent me - and I am not happy at all with - or, spending money to hire someone outside of Yellow Pages to redo the site (Hint: if you are considering YP, do yourself a favor and hire someone else).
I tried cancelling and was advised that I was locked into a 1 year contract so now I am paying for something I can't use.
Save yourself some grief and headaches by looking elsewhere. I have no clue how this company has managed to stay in business so long.
Dear Carla, all the work stated in writing and documented (signed by your husband) was done as estimated, and is within industry standards. The use of recycled (used) parts is a generally acceptable way to repair a vehicle - as was explained verbally before the work was done - and your estimate reflects the recycled parts cost, to keep within your budget, again as explained. There were items that were NOT included in the estimate, and these items were clearly outlined and explained to your son as the job progressed and were approved as you are aware. There are no expectations for any business operating to add parts or services beyond the estimate that was written, and provided to you. To be clear, the mechanical issue that was discovered after the fact - that was not a part of the estimate - was offered to be repaired at OUR LABOUR COST, if you would pay for the part only, which is STILL OUTSTANDING. Our business record speaks for itself. We conduct business with utmost integrity, and we have done so with your vehicle.
When you signup they behave extremely polite and tied your hand with legal contract over the phpne in a rush by saying "yes i agree" eventhough you do not understand the full meaning and fine lines. Once you tied in contract there is no option to get out of contract till 12 months, not even paying penalties to get out of contract. You have to have pay them every month till 1 year no matter what. They are con-artist and run the business not to hel[p client but to trap people. I called the customer care to cancel my monthly payments and they told me "NO" she argued me why you said yes on phone at time of signing contract, you have to pay till the year end. I request to cancel with penalty fees but they denied. She was such rude and mean over the phone. Worst quality people are sittting in customer care, i never seen anywhere like this kind of worst people. We should stop using yello pages because this is run by a bunch of con-artist and there main business is not to help but infact traping people for the whole year.
I am very weary when it comes to signing up for contracts but they got me. The sales agent had been in touch with me for months, each time I asked more questions to reassure myself that the purchase was a good decision. He made a ton of promises, I was told he would assist me with setting up the back end and to send him a whole bunch of information and keywords. I had reached out to past clients for reviews and they happily agreed to fill out a review using the YP link. Once I had accepted the verbal contract POOF he was gone no answer. Then I finally got a hold of someone and they said they were in another department now. 3/4 reviews didn't stick to the profile, YP said the reviewers were to blame because of a final step they didn't do. The backend keywords were not setup and I was left to figure it out. An additional feature didn't work all together and 6 months later someone would actually enable it from the YP side. In addition they didn't have my correct information so life went on and eventually I would get a call reminding me that I had a balance to pay. Trying to figure out what happened I would connect to several more people who would offer apologies but no solutions. Finally I was told I would be speaking with someone who could fix everything on the backend... this individual was yet another salesman who's ultimate objective was to sign me up for more AMAZING and ADVANCED services that no other competitor was doing yet. I wasn't falling for it yet, I made it clear that I wasn't going to be upgrading and that person quickly lost interest and we ended our call without answers. I have asked numerous times for proof that the online profile was actually converting leads, one representative said they would email me the actual phone numbers that showed up as inbound dials to cell phone... nada. The people I complain to are just doing their jobs I can tell as they have no solutions and like clockwork refer me to my verbal agreement and the fancy backend that shows activity that doesn't really exist. I will eventually have to deal with them in court and I have a ton of emails that show the incompetency and lack of an actual service. Don't fall for the sales pitch, its old school sign you up then move on to the next sucker.
They renew and increase without your consent!
And when you call to cancel they charge you additional 3 months before they let you go!
The worse money ever spent on advertising!
Never never again!
I wanted to share my nasty experience regarding having an unprofessional accountant who has charged me illegally and he hasn't been committed to his promises.
I am talking about "Mr. Andre Bultmann" the director of "Bultmann and Company".
http://bultco.com/
As per the email I received from Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) in Alberta, Mr. Andre Bultmann's CPA license has been cancelled since Nov 2015. It means that ethically, professionally and morally he is not committed to none of his promises and he thinks he is allowed to treat his clients unethically and unprofessionally.
"By going to CPA Alberta, you only waste your time because I am not with CPA for many years", it is his response to my questions!
Please be aware and informed that he is not with CPA since Nov 2015 and it means Andre Bultmann is not responsible to any professional and ethical commitments and you may lose your time and money with him without any response from him.
I was purchasing an existing company so I wanted to see what kind of digital footprint they had so I could see what improvements could be made. I saw there was a website but the SEO was listed for the area they were located in and nothing within a 20km radius. When I took the business over I realized that there was a digital marketing company in place with Yellow Pages. When I saw the bill I was floored! They do NOTHING for the amount they have been billing this company and they refused to cancel the contract! It even says in their Terms that any account must apply for their services, to which I did not. They wouldn't talk to me as my name was not on the account, until they realized the bill wasn't going to be paid unless they spoke with me. Then they refused to release the domain until the bill was paid IN FULL! I specifically requested their digital services to be terminated ASAP but I wanted us to be advertised in print. They couldn't even do THAT right and cancelled the entire account! Absolutely shameful how these guys treat their dissatisfied customers, and in my case, I wasn't even a customer as I hadn't signed up but because the business changed hands that was deemed as a continuation of their contract!
I've had absolutely no results, no return on investment from any of their campaigns, they automatically renew contracts without asking, with no respect for their customers. They refuse to cancel, I even got yelled at by one of the customer service reps for insisting that my contract be cancelled. Only to then receive threatening letters demanding payment for a contract that I never renewed, and asked to be cancelled. They obviously need money badly, very badly. I am a very reasonable person, but this company has nothing going for it, not a single positive point that I can think of.
Absolutely the WORST company to deal with in trying to identify and solve issues! TERRIBLE. Sold us a scam.
Yellowpages is overpriced, they make you sign a 12-month contract probably because they know their services are terrible. I am not sure anyone uses Yellowpages online anymore. There are so many other options much better for ROI than Yellow pages business
Also, the customer service is terrible.
This company was to help my business not destroy it. From day 1 there were problems with my site. With a dozen phone calls to head office, problems remain. Pictures not linking, financial information being breached, the list goes on. I have been off this site for months although my business is still linked with many errors.
Cancelled my service, the agent on the phone had no issues with the request, but then I kept on getting billed as normal. Now it's gone to collections even though no contract was ever signed! Huge scam! Do not use! Waste of money!
These pricks don't even deserve the 1 star rating.
I made a massive mistake when I signed SEO & SEM digital marketing contracts with YP.CA. I've never experienced such thorough incompetence within any organization. Through their services I've gained 0 new customers and 0 sales, but spent $12k with these $#*!s. I've wasted time correcting their errors, adding content to my YP.CA listing only to see that this is broken and the content doesn't display. I've escalated their incompetence twice, only to learn they admit to their short comings and obviously don't care that they don't deliver value. Do your business a favor and stay away from this unprincipled and digitally incompetent company. Worst experience ever!
Worst company in Canada!
-Professionalism 0 (The client service clown that I spoke to, was rude and undermining me the entire conversation)
-Understanding 0 (During lockdown nothing was offered to help the businesses that put them in businesses FAIL!)
-Client service 0 (Did not want to transfer me to the person I originally spoke to)
-Impossible to reach 0 (I waited 40 minutes just to talk to an idiot)
Also, yellow pages are outdone by way smaller firms and have lost all creditability in the business world. Dont feed into their BS sales pitch!
SAY NOOOOOOOO! IT WILL NOT HELP YOU GAIN ANY BUSINESS

I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY YELLOW PAGES CONDUCTS BUSINESS. MOST CONSUMERS, IF THEY NEED A PLUMBER, FOR EXAMPLE, WILL GOOGLE WITH THE WORDS PLUMBERS NEAR ME. THE WAY I SEE IT, IN ORDER TO GET YOUR YELLOW PAGES AD SEEN BY CONSUMERS, THE CONSUMER HAS TO FIRST TYPE YELLOW PAGES IN THE SEARCH ENGINE AND THEN TYPE IN PLUMBERS -- AN EXTRA STEP THAT MOST PEOPLE DO NOT DO. I CALLED TO CANCEL MY YELLOW PAGES AD WHICH IS PAID BY PRE-AUTHORIZATION TO MY CREDIT CARD EVERY MONTH. YELLOW PAGES TELLS ME THAT 'ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT' WHICH I SIGNED WAY BACK WHEN WHEN I FIRST STARTED USING THEM, THERE IS A THREE-MONTH CANCELLATION FEE EQUAL TO THREE MONTHS BILLINGS TO ME. I CAN SEE THEM CHARGING A CANCELLATION FEE WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF PROVIDING THEIR SERVICE, BUT THEY HAVE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED BY CONTRACT EVERY YEAR (WHICH I DIDN'T MIND), BUT NOW WHEN I WANT TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT, I HAVE TO PAY THIS THREE-MONTH CANCELLATION FEE. IN MY OPINION, IT'S A CASH GRAB ON THEIR PART. SO NOW THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS FOR THE CANCELLATION FEE -- SILLY ME, I SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE ON PRE-AUTHORIZED BILLINGS -- I SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN TO GET A BILL AND THEN PAID EACH MONTH MYSELF. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH YOU, YELLOW PAGES.
The salesperson who called me from yellowpages told me that I can expect to receive 25 calls per month, or more, from the yellowpages ad he sold me. In order to build trust with me, he showed me someone else's yellowpages ad, and indicated that he was receiving this number of calls from his ad. I agreed to sign up for 1 year as this is the minimum length of contract they offer. It was a big mistake on my part - I receive only 5 calls or so per month and have realized they misrepresented to me what I can expect. I am paying $140 per month for 5 calls. As such, yellowpages grossly overpriced the service they sold to me. When I raised this concern to them, instead of agreeing to come to a more equitable arrangement with me, they insisted that they had not promised any particular result and I was locked into a 1 year contract. I told them that they cannot make a false representation and then contract their way out of it. They had no response to this. Yellowpages is not an equitable company. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. I wish I had. There are other issues I have not discussed for the sake of not making this review too long. If you look at the website of the better business bureau you will see this company is highly problematic and not trustworthy.
Warm Protection doors' after sales service is abysmal to non existence. Don't touch them with a barge pole
I had received a cold call from a yellow pages rep who did not clearly provide terms (to tell me 1 year contract). Absoloutely scammed me, disclosed PRIVATE information of my home address on the INTERNET and did not resolve. Now ad is blank and wasting my time and money while I am dealing with personal and safety concerns as a result of people getting my home address (moved cities for my safety only for yellow pages to ruin this in a month). TERRIBLE SERVICE, will not refund or terminate ad. Would not recommend this service to my worst enemy.
Answer: Hire a lawyer. They are scam artists... trust me. Stay far away from this company
Answer: Our contractual terms are for a 12-month period (or a 6-month period for certain products). Customers are able to cancel their contract with Yellow Pages by providing notice 3 months before the expiry of the term. If not, contracts automatically renew, as mentioned in our terms and conditions. We invite you to contact us at 1-844-875-4290 to discuss this further. Thank you.
Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
