I've had xfinity since March 4th 2022 at my new address and had to pay for my last month (December 2021) at my last address to get my new equipment. The charge was about $60 (my usual bill). No big deal right? Well now that I'm into my first bill at my new house I some how owe $223?! I supposedly had $100 credited to me bc they charged me for the two months I had requested to cancel (January and February) after telling me on March 4th (the day I restarted my service) I wouldn't be charged for. (my bill is supposed to be $86 and somehow it's STILL $123, almost 50% more than I was advertised March 4th. My internet service is subpar to say the least. I was advertised to pay "$86" a month for the highest speed, equipment and unlimited data. BUT somehow always have a weak connection. (I work remote 100% on my laptop.) I highly recommend going else where. Getting ahold of a representative is almost impossible without "paying your passed due amount". Even if you're just looking for an explanation for BILLING. Xfinity is trash, and their "representatives" are highly inconsistent. I also couldn't get an explanation for my $95 "new charge".

It is truly shocking to see that BBB gave Comcast an A+. Do you understand the concept of customer service? Do you know what value this score has? It means the company has exceeded expectations. And Comcast is far from that standard. From the 16 years that I have been their customer, I have only had negative experiences. They cash in on their monopoly. Last phone call was on 4/4/22: my latest contract is supposed to expire in April, and after being a 16-year customer, I asked them to keep the same deal. But every time the contract expires, they jack up the price. The new customers have a better price deal than old-timers. When the agent offered me three levels of services and to choose the cheapest (they all came to the same price as the most expensive plan), she stated that she doesn't have an available promotion for the cheapest plan anymore, which she offered ten minutes before. For these 16 years, I've paid them $38,400, a solid down payment for any house in my neighborhood. They operate on a level below even car dealers and timeshare salesmen—they want you to sign right there and then, without any paper preview. She kept emphasizing loyalty and grandfathering in—they don't know the meaning of these words. They are blood-suckers and money-lovers. And they don't care. The score would be 0 if possible. It doesn't surprise me that BBB gives them this stellar grade, since it's funded by Xfinity. Xfinity has board members on BBB. This is what corporate America has become—companies who have sold their soul to slave away to the dollar.

Horrible monopoly, dont care about customers who are years old, charges more on autopay queitly - and always show like they are doing a favour by giving a promo to bring price down to normal, everytime you call them the $#*!ty autmated system asks you what they want rather than asking customer what they want, i wish their monopoly ends immediately, in a free world monopoly is a disease which needs to end, they are too big to care about their customers, they disconnected my service and offered me pennied in compensation - would never want to go with them, hope dont have to

If you have other options for internet and TV service, take it.
I have no other choice at this time and unfortunately have had to use their service for 15 years. To help reduce their ever rising service fees and costs, we recently purchased our own Arris Modem and Eeros mesh router system and fire sticks for streaming. We lowered our channel line up, (don't need 230+) upped our internet speed, returned all of our cable boxes, all which lowered our bill by $80.00 a month. Now the fun stuff!
Once everything was installed and working, we had buffering issues (screen freeze) and to make a long story short, (many calls to overseas tech service) No help if you could understand them (3 Trips to the local Xfinity store) which they told us we have a site issue) finally sent a tech to the house and after 2-1/2 hour visit the tech threw his hands up and said "I don't know what's wrong" you're getting your upgraded 900 meg download speed, it must be your new purchased equipment. Ah? NO! I'll spare you the equipment specification details but it is all top line stuff. I additionally had the company that installed all our security cameras, audio/video, and Cat5 systems when the house was built, out to inspect and advise. All systems were working properly including the newly installed Modem and routers that I installed. So, at this writing, we have concluded that the buffering issue is the Xfinity Stream Beta App that we subscribe to for TV. Since we have no buffering issues with other Apps (Netflx, Disney, Hulu) we will switch the TV portion from Xfinity to Utube TV, or Fubo TV. I'm into this approximately $1,000 bucks for Modem/Router, firesticks and tech service calls and I'm extremely "Pissed" that Xfinity is such a BS Company. Horrible products, tech service, and customer service.
Again, "Stay Away" if you can!
I'm Stuck!

I have never dealt with a company that scams elderly like this one. They scam them into a contract then send a early termination bill when you move. You have to go thru a machine until you can finally get a human and then they rude.

Disaster ISP
March 25, 2022

XFinity AKA Comcast has absolutely abysmal service, and they take advantage of their new customers. Where do I begin? After Hurricane Ida, our coax cable was damaged at the junction where it connected into the house. I called xFinity several times to set up an appointment, but they directed me to a non-English-speaking customer service rep. Who tried to sell me a mobile plan... I reassured them I did not want the mobile plan, but I need to have my coax cable repaired outside of the house so I could receive the service I am paying for. They proceeded to give me instructions to set up an appointment with a technician to troubleshoot my modem which would cost me $100. I hung up because the conversation was going nowhere.

Over the next few weeks, I went into the xFinity store periodically to try to set up an appointment for the cable repair. After the third visit, they finally confirmed the appointment which was to be free of charge since it was a repair being made to the utility pole and junction outside of the house. Towards the end of the month, I receive the notice that I am being charged $100 for the visit. I call and explain to them that this is incorrect, and I was told I would not be charged. They refused to refund me until I asked them to cancel my service with them and explained how much of a "headache" this has been. They claimed to refund the service to my account. Mind you, I have only been getting around 4% of the "Superfast" policy download sped that I should be getting... Dealing with them has been a nightmare if you're even able to get ahold of them. Their customer service contact system is horrible.

Now, I am trying to get them to get my internet speed from 25 Mbps to close to 600 Mbps which is what I'm paying for... I also have. 3 upload speed with xFinity which is abysmally slow... They claim that my modem was DOCSIS 3.0 and is not compatible with DOCSIS 3.1, and that is the reason why my internet is so slow. I assured them that my Netgear CM1200 was rated on their website not only to be DOCSIS 3.1, but also to allow up to 800 Mbps download...

Do yourself a favor and don't try to get xFinity to work. Go with AT&T DSL internet. XFinity is atrocious...

Xfinity sent a Bill for me for a service which was pre-ordered and never started. I had clearly mentioned to all the agents I had to talk that I will start the service once I reach the new location, but all of a sudden I saw a new bill coming up for a service never activated, never used. Spent more than 1.5 hours explaining their chat agents and they kept transferring me back and forth between billing and service teams. They don't even have a way to verify if the service was ever used and remove the billing. Worst experience.

I have had Xfinity for almost a year and will be dumping it as soon as my plan year is up. The cable functions are incredibly slow, including waiting for the guide to load, changing from one channel to another, opening open recorded programs recorded programs and god forbid you want to open the streaming apps-grab a cup of coffee and breakfast while you wait. If I set a program to record a show the only way to watch it is to open the recorded programs and play the recording. With other more sophisticated platforms you can open the channel from the guide and back up to where the recording began. Another frustrating issue is that while watching recorded tv you will sometimes get an error message saying the channel is no longer available and you must "Try Again" and in the meantime the system has jumped to live tv and you lost whatever you have recorded. Because we both work remotely I payed extra for internet speeds of up to 400 dps, my average speed is 30-45, I have never seen it get over 100. Save yourself the frustration and sign up with a different provider, life is too short to deal with such a poorly constructed platform…

I've had this crap service for a year and a half and it goes out all the time, it takes four five days to get a technician out, so for four or five days I have no internet no cable. Nobody helps you. I think everybody's job is to just screw you and that's what they do the prices keep going up every 2 seconds and you have crap service I mean the worst. Stay away from this awful company I just canceled my cable and my internet with them and they're charging me $200. I was going to keep the internet but when they told me they were charging me $200 for crap crap service there was no way I was keeping their internet. People stay away because this company sucks!

They scam people. Was suppose to break down
For installation and add on service payment but instead errored and put everything as upfront costs and won't help to fix their mistake. Then offer a credit which they didn't even apply to the bill at all. They get you to sign up by offering certain things broken down into payments then when you get it, they tack it all on first bill, admit they made a mistake but can't fix the error on their part. Beware... they would rather lose their customers than to help fix their mistakes. Going to verizon.

Always make sure that you have someone with you who can film the entire visit. If you complain to Xfinity they will back the technician up and say that they believe him. On top of that, they will charge you $100 for giving you wrong information like "iPhones don't work with internet service unless you use WhatsApp!" They will say that they fixed your personal modem when they never even looked at it. I was not having a modem problem! Customer service is the worst I've ever encountered and I've been around a long time!

MY bad because today I spent 31/2 hrs on line with xfinity with someone that did not understand me nor I them. After getting no where with them or there superviser which I had the same communication or should I say lack of. Out of frustration and no internet I call back and was connected with a gentleman in Texas which I could totally understand and had me up and running in 15 minutes. Why does it need to take 30 minutes of pushing buttons to talk with a live person. They always ask if you speak Spanish when they should ask where you live also, so they can give you a rep you can understand.
I gave this a 2 only because I almost always do not read one star or 5 star reviews.
Ones often complain about everything and 5 stars are from all their friends or investors.
