What the hell happened to this site. I have been sending my weather station date to WU for years. Then recently went to view my site and to my surprise the whole interface has taken a dramatic step backwards. No more real-time rapid fire updates just a static site... back to the stone age. Its like the site has been restored from a very old back up because if your going to role out changes you certainly wouldn't remove existing, often used features. No longer useful in it's current form! Went from a 5 star to a zero rating
For years wunderground had been the place to go to send your personal weather station data to, if only for their excellent online display... but not any more.
The new PWS page is the worst thing I've ever seen - badly sized, badly laid out, poorly planned and generally crap. It doesn't update automatically; displays empty panels for no good reason and makes me feel that I don't want my data there any more. Even their q & a section (which was always a tough place to find) has now disappeared - and they don't reply to questions via email either.
All in all every sign that they've gone bad - so I'm off and I'd advise the rest of you who want their data displayed to do the same.
I can no longer access the 10 day forecast and the Contact Us page doesn't work, just blips out to a blank page. I used to rely on this site for my every day forecast, guess I will have to look elsewhere. Thank you for the months of 10 day forecasts that no longer are accessible.

Tell me if the fans were right.
Today is the absolute last day I'll ever visit the empty vestige that is currently 'wunderground'.
All of the useful information has been unnecessarily simplified into a static page that no longer updates. I have a hunch that the rapid fire data will be a 'new' feature in the future that will be only for paying people.
Thank you The Weather Company and International Business Machines for taking a site with some of the richest, free, weather data available to the public and razed it into the ground.
As for an alternative, I've been frequently visiting windy.com. They're new and have a relatively small team, but show potential.
I'm extremely disappointed in the disgrace that has become wunderground.
Really disappointed. After submitting my PWS data for many years, I noticed the dumbed down my PWS page with a 'console' view that only shows 5 minute updates. Gone is real-time rapid fire updates. Gone is the Scientific Forecast Discussion link. Gone is almanac data from nearest METAR and historical data. The Contact US link is never replied to.
I've been sending my personal weather station data to weather underground for over 10 years. Each time they change the design of the personal weather station home page it's for the worse. This iteration is much worse. I really hate that I can't see all the current readings without scrolling down. I used to get the map, temp, humidity, rain, wind etc all on the main page. Now all I get is the map, temp, humidy and dewpoint. And what happened to the rapid fire update? Missing features. Many things that don't work anymore. And terrible heuristics. This was obviously designed by someone who has never been part of a serious software development team. Bring back the previous version and fire the new developer.
Most of the old functions, while still having available tabs, do not work, i. E. next day weather, 10 day forecast, alternate locations etc. Was a very helpful site and is now useless.
I guess intellicast is now weather underground. NOT a good change. Intellicast had great radar... don't know what a "wundermap" is, but it doesn't give me any information that is of any use to me. The search is on for a new weather site. Sometimes mergers aren't always for the better.
They say the temperature is 74 degrees here in Omaha - it is NOT the temperature is currently 64 degrees.
And you can't see a 10 day forecast. So don't use their site!
Intellicast was my go to local radar and weather information for outdoor activities and planning fishing activities. The Weather Underground takeover of this once premiere service was just total incompetence. Video ads overwhelm the webpage, inaccurate and outdated maps, it's just unbelievably horrible. Please bring back Intellicast.
Was a huge Intellicast fan since the 80s. WU is a piece of crap. Have to start new every time I open it. Slow, clunky, can't save any edited settings, ads are out of control. Radar stinks and is slow.
Sooner or later someone else will put a site like Intellicast and WU will be deleted from my computers.
Used to be able to see high resolution radar. It's gone. Now all we have is difficult navigation and blobs on the radar screens.
Seriously, their geography is wrong, the satellite functions don't work, and the forecasts are wildly inaccurate. The site is a collection of widgets which often don't load properly. I'm not a big conspiracy guy, but I suspect it was bought by IBM and allowed to rot on the vine, so to speak, to eliminate competition for their other weather sites (which are also not very good). Before that purchase, it was probably the best site for my area. However, IBM's Weather Underground is an extremely poor service/site.
It blows my mind that they're still operating because their website hasn't loaded/responded in over two months.
The last thing left I like about Weather Underground is the format of its graphical forecast, but the app is impossibly clunky, especially its widget, which is usually hung trying to update. I'm really annoyed at how much time I have wasted poking at it, trying to kick the widget into gear -- the whole point of the widget is to display updated conditions without having to open the app! I prefer international units; the website will display them, but it's an afterthought, as it first displays temperatures in Fahrenheit and only then changes them to Celsius. The organization and functionality of the website used to be much better. I've about had it -- as soon as I see a similar forecast widget that functions, I'm getting rid of the app.
I have been using Weather Underground for the past 10 years+ and this site has gone from the best to the worst. Every single "update" they roll out, makes the site more and more useless. One of my favorite aspects of the website used to be their helpful tech support and they would always quickly fix glitches when they came arise. Over the past 2 years, its evident that they no longer have any tech support because every email goes unanswered. In addition to absolutely no help when problems arise, they have made the historical weather portion (which was what drew me here to begin with) completely unusable. The data isn't even accurate. Its full of glitches and there are these huge graphs that stick out that are completely useless. I don't care about the "pretty" graphs. I want to see the data. Fortunately, I have learned that the NWS has an excellent way to look at historical weather for any city you want to. Hopefully Weather Underground and the Weather Channel won't try to buy the NWS out. Nothing else has seemed to stop The Weather Channel from obtaining a monopoly.
Wunderground was perfect-- great layout, easy to get the data you need fast... then they changed everything. No idea why. Instead of clean, easy to read bar graphs, with radar and basic conditions, the site is a mess of "pretty" pages with no easy way to customize, and the data jumbled all over the area and requiring pull-down tabs to get the data that used to be on the home page.
Nice job ruining a site, Wunderground.
Relied on Intellicast since the late 1980"s since I work outdoors. Rural area with very limited, slow internet. Wunderground site = excess advertising/data grabbing videos. Site down for days now. Hijacked Intellicast. Beware!
I'm mourning the loss of Intellicast, too, but earlier today I stumbled on https://96.8.93.198
Would someone please try http://96.8.93.198
https://96.8.93.198
Or 96. 8. 93. 198?
Please report if it works.
It looks like the old Intellicast site, EXCEPT without advertisements. I don't think it's an old image of the site, as everything LOOKS up to date. On some machines the "https :// "; prevents getting to the proper site, or on others, is seems needed (please excuse me, I'm NOT a software engineer). Same with the "http :// ".
Here's hoping it continues to work, if it's real. Please let us know.
WU is absolutely horrible! Those of us who live in areas prone to tornadoes depend on detailed satellite to protect our families. WU is full of ads, bs news, maps are worthless, and the site is almost impossible to navigate. Garbage. Lives could be lost, bring back Intellicast.
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
