If you are looking for an endless start to your writing career, you've come to the right place. You will not be bored and might find yourself surprised at all the tools you have been given.
I have been a member of Writing.com for many years. They offer many helpful tools to enhance your writing skills. These tools include encouragement, reviews, newsletters and contests to keep your writing skills flowing. I have found the site easy to use. Go to 'Writing.com'. You'll love it!
Writing.com is a very enjoyable social site for writers. There are lots of contests, writing prompts, specified clubs and of course, things to read written by other members. I am currently an upgraded member.
Writing.Com is a 5-star Discovery, a Vital Presence on the Internet reflected by our many talented authors, and a Wonderful Ongoing Adventure!
Hello fellow writers,
This is a great place online to read others' work and hone your own craft. I have not been very good a discipling myself to write regularly, however this 3 months subscription I hope is a step toward that goal.
Writing.com is a great place to meet other writers, see what they are writing, and to have your own work reviewed. I love WdC and have been a member for 14 years.
The folks here are great. Post your writing, get honest reviews from very talented writers. Get your work read through fun contests and groups. There's a lot of great stuff to read on here, because the community is full of people who take writing seriously.
Simple and fun, but what about my expired account? I suppose I have created an account that is brand new.
Writing.com is a large community of like-minded sub-communities (there are groups for many different interests, from gardening to alien enthusiasts, from Christianity to baking) where writers can express themselves in group forums, personal and community newsfeeds, free and paid portfolios, and receive constructive and helpful feedback on their work from readers and writers alike. If you have spare time, and are active in a group, you may even volunteer for a leadership position within the group. My experience has been 90% positive feedback, meaning even when people point out my mistakes, (which I greatly appreciate, as it helps me to grow as a writer) they do it kindly. Enter contests and win awards for your item's page, virtual trophies, and/or gift points. I affectionately call writing.com my online home.
A great place for writers, from the casual to the professional, welcoming, friendly and fun! If you want to a space to share your writing ideas with others then great, else use a blog.
It's an amazing site for all writers and poets all over the worl! I'm very satisfied with Writing.com! If You are looking for the right place, than Writng.com is more than that! Enjoy it!
I have been a member of the Writing.com community since 2006, and during that time have found it to be very valuable. While you don't see other writers face-to-face in online communities such as this, there is a wealth of helpful information about how to become a better writer as well as a large base of other writers, from around the world, who are there to review your work and provide feedback.
The membership comes in a number of levels from free to a few hundred dollars per year. I pay something for my membership, and the benefits are worth it in terms of storage space and access to additional features.
I have watched Writing.com grow over the past eleven years, and I really like how the site is managed and the courtesy given by both the system admins and the other members.
I highly recommend it!
I've been a member for nine years now, and I can't see any reason as to why I would stop. From the beginning I was met by (mostly) constructive criticism of, help with and support in my literary pursuits. The site is full of contests, niche groups and workshops all geared towards making the budding writer feel welcome and improving their writing skills.
I have been a member for 12 years, it is a great community. It helps to encourage writers on the writing journey.
I've been here for over 12 years and I have created, added to or contributed to dozens of interactive stories! This site is a blast if you love to write! Join today!
I have been a member now for over seven years and I still love being a member. It is a wonderful community for writers of all ages from 13 years and over, for all skill levels and all genres. I have learned a lot since joining and my writing has improved enormously due to the valuable reviews I have received. Whether you write fiction, poetry or non-fiction there is something there for everyone.
No matter what type of writing you do you will find a great site here to practice, find great support and great people that share your interests. I love this site.
I love this site. I have been on this site for about 3 months. I have learned so much in my writing career. I hope to continue to learn more. Writing.com is not just a place to come write, it is a place for your extended family.
Can't fault anything about it. You have to be here to experience how fun and rewarding it is. The staff and moderators are responsive to any query.
One thing I won't have to worry about is finding that WDC has shut down and eaten my writing and other creations. It's here to stay for the long-haul and is getting better all of the time!
Answer: The simplest and most honest answer to this is simply that we, as a site that allows authors to post work, can not possibly stop someone from copying something they've read online and trying to use it as their own. The question you have to ask yourself, more so, is whether or not that's likely to happen. If you feel your work is up to the level that someone could just take it and get it published -- then certainly you should not be joining a writing community to improve your skills -- you should instead be out getting your work published. From our 15 years of experience, having had tens of thousands of authors post work to Writing.Com, we've never heard from anyone that their work has been stolen from our site and published by someone else. I hope this answer helps!
Answer: It hasn't been down at all, so this is a difficult question to answer.:-)
Answer: Sure, that is interesting!:-) You can certainly write about anything that is interesting to you.:-)
Answer: Hello, If I'm understanding the question... you're asking about benefits of our Preferred Author promotion? You are correct in that promotion is recognition within the community more than anything else. There are some ancillary benefits, such as message forums and activities available only to certain portfolio levels, plus certain times where we request the input and/or participation of higher levels within the community. Our Moderators are only chosen from well established Preferred Authors. In addition, higher portfolio levels earn an increased number of Gift Points for logging in each day. Answer: Hello, No, we do not have with "landing pages". It sounds like you're looking for a search engine placement company and that's not what we are. Good luck!
Answer: The answer is 0. Spending has nothing to do with promotions on Writing.Com. The qualifications for promotion include reviewing and interaction on the site, along with minimum amounts of time on the site. The full qualifications are listed in "Writing.Com 101" which is linked from the top of each page. Promotions are made manually, however... and Writing.Com is a literal "Mom and Pop shop" -- two people. Active members in our community also know that our 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia the first week of September, so they know that this type of manual promotion is not something we have time to take care of right now. We'll be back to it as we work through and manage our family health issues.
Answer: Yes! There are nearly infinite usernames available.:-)
Answer: We are not Letgo. You are asking on the wrong site.:-)
Answer: We are not Letgo. You are asking on the wrong site.:-)
Answer: I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. You're welcome to create an account on Writing.Com without a previous history.:-)
