I ordered what I thought was a DVD for my grandson, when it arrived it was a CD, Danny in customer services advised me to send the CD back and he fully refunded the amount I paid. I am very happy with the service from WOB and I would buy from them again and recommend them. It was a simple process and the money was swiftly refunded fabulous company to buy from.

Only 1 book received condition not as described. Exchanged immediately. Really pleased with rest of order and will definitely keep shopping with them.

As usual Wob came up trumps with my order. Reasonable prices, wide selection and speedy - free - delivery. What's more they're a registered B corporation - so ethical too.

I ordered a hard to find series for a niece. Two of the 3 part series were used, the third was new. The two used books were in identical condition to the brand new book so I was absolutely thrilled. I saved money by going through WOB, as I would have been spending over $120 if I had used amazon. I ended up spending about $55 and now the gift for my niece is complete! I couldn't be happier.

Update Dec 14th: refund processed. Still a very cumbersome long process lasting 6 weeks.
Update Dec 7th: Since submitting this review I've been contacted again by customer service and advised they are now going to process a refund. I've therefore updated the rating from one star to 2 and changed the title from "Disappointing service overall, wont use again" to "Disappointing service overall, unlikely to use again". I'm still disappointed by the overall experience and feel their messages to customers around replacements/refunds need to improve.

First time user of this website, initially thought this site looked great and was thrilled to see second hand books that my 7 year old was interested in that cant be bought new.
Ordered 3 books at the start of November, was notified one was being sent and over a few days got notifications the others were damaged so I could pick a replacement or get a refund. I went back and forth with a customer rep and eventually selected 3 books to the value of the 2 ones they couldn't send. Received dispatch notes for 2 books but 2 different books arrived 2 weeks later? I'm now being told that its a one for one replacement so as the books sent were less value than the ones I requested/paid for they cant refund. Disappointing as if this was made clear at any stage I would have immediately requested a refund for those initial 2 books and not wasted time picking replacements. A month later I have one book I asked for and 2 others and am out of pocket. Wont be using again and don't recommend.

I used to start at another online store, but for physical books I now start with you. Still do a price comparison - but would rather buy from you.

If you haven't discovered World of Books, you need to! Great value second-hand books on everything, delivered without hassle and post-free. I love history and the only problem is where to begin! However obscure or niche, chances are you'll find it here.

I only received 1 of the 3 books I ordered and despite many attempts to communicate to fix the problem I have heard nothing from the company.

Update on the book. My daughter has had a few days now to study content of the book and says that it contains everything you need to get started playing and suitable for everyone as it is very easy to understand. Highly recommend this book.
