Customer service sucks. You can't pick up the phone & call someone. You have to jump through hoops at their 'contact' page before you can request a callback. I submitted a callback request at 11 pm. I got a call from an 877 number at 12:08 am. Answered the phone. Call dropped. At 12:11 am I got a call from a 415 number. I answered. Call dropped. At 12:13 am, I got another call from the 415 number. Barely got 'hello' out & guess what?! Call dropped. I tried calling the numbers back & got recordings saying they were not in service.
I'm trying to get hold of someone to help me with a problem with my shop layout. The products have gotten off centered from the background. I can't figure out how to get it back on there.
I have a three-year contract payment due April 28. Yesterday, I saw a place at their website with additional options -- monthly, yearly, etc. I'd like to switch to monthly, but now that option is not coming up.
On the plus side -- I love the look of my website! Once I got it up & running (a whole hair pulling weeklong experience), it's not too hard to go in & make changes & additions. I love the look of my website. It's very distinctive. Check out AskLoving.com to see what I mean.
I paid wix to build me a website two months ago for my business, and they said it would take a maximum of three weeks. But it's still not done after more than two months! Constantly calling and getting promises about new finish dates but nothing. They haven't updated me once a long the way. A woman named Suzette, who's the manager in charge, promised me it would be done by last Wednesday and gave me her extension to call her if it still wasn't finished. I left a message she didn't pick up. Awful company all the way around. Spend your money else where.
This is web design built for idiots, and maybe on that it succeeds. Their site building software is totally nonsensical and is totally unlike any other design platform in existence. If you want to spend WEEKS learning how it works, good for you. You'll have a rudimentary site that you're wildly overpaying for. And then you'll have a lot of knowledge about an interface that will be useless everywhere else in the world.
These guys are masters of taking your money for things that should be free (like rollovers or carousels), and then frustrating your guts out with their horrific — let me say that again HORRIFIC — customer service. I've never worked with any company who cares less about its clientele than Wix. Maybe American air carriers are worse? Probably not. Working with Wix when there's a technical issue is a hellscape. I regret ever using them and am actively working to escape.
Absolutely do not sign a contract with Wix! It's a scam company with a lousy website and incredibly poor support!
NOT AT ALL compatible with iPad or phone editing. I don't currently have a computer. Sure, I can move things, SOMETIMES, and when I do, it often isn't placed correctly or pops it right back to where it started. I have to refresh the page after every successful edit. The phone version is NEVER accurate from computer to device and also doesn't reflect accurately across different devices and is hard to edit. What takes me an hour on Wix, as bad as it is on a computer, has taken me over 5 hours and I'm not even close to being finished. Literally have a migraine and will need to borrow a computer. It's TRASH.
Oh boy, where do I even start with Wix? Let me tell you, this platform is an absolute nightmare. If you're looking to build a website that's unique and professional, then you better steer clear of Wix.
First of all, the system is completely closed off, which means you're stuck with the same boring templates as everyone else. And if you want to customize anything beyond that, good luck! Wix is notoriously limited when it comes to flexibility and creativity.
And don't even get me started on the loading times. If you're hoping to have a website that loads quickly and keeps your visitors engaged, then Wix is definitely not the way to go. It's slow as molasses, and that's being generous.
Plus, their SEO features are a joke. You'll be lucky if you can get your website to rank at all. And even if you do manage to get some traffic, it's likely to be low quality because the platform is just not built for SEO success.
And let's talk about pricing. Wix is notorious for tacking on hidden fees and charges for everything from domain registration to email accounts. You'll be nickel-and-dimed at every turn, and it'll be nearly impossible to accurately budget for your website expenses.
So, unless you're looking for a cookie-cutter, slow-loading, poorly-ranked website that costs an arm and a leg, then do yourself a favor and stay far away from Wix.

My login email expired, I logged it with customer service over 2 weeks ago...still waiting for this issue to be resolved...i can't access my online shop, I can't upload my new products, It is impossible to speak to HUMAN! The response waiting is far too long...I am loosing sales but noone from WIX cares! Extremely disappointed!
They dont even allow one time fee like most websites, KEEP AWAY! After working with their online editing it was decent enough but also too restrictive and it doesn't think outside the box.
First month no problem then run into issues slow loading, problems embedding HTML codes, issues login in as well. Customer service totally unhelpful and argumentive. Worse experience I have had total unhappy that they have denied refund can't transfer domain or transfer all work I have done on my site. Wouldn't not recommend now seeking advice worth regard to refund as this is unacceptable you pay for something your having ongoing problems with and paying for something you are having issues with and can't continue build website, totally lost interest in building the site due to the problems.

I bought a wix platform for an online buisness and thy have a 15 day return policy and I was getting steady traffic, what i would expect for it starting as a new website, but as soon as the 15 day mark hit no more traffic and I can't get ahold of anyone to try and refund the rest of my purchase and still just pay for the time I had it up. Don't waste your time or money
Beware if you intend to add online transactions to your WIX site. When my site was created, I had no issues with deposits or transfer payments to my business checking account. Two months later I was informed that my site was not in compliance and I added several disclaimers using WIX templates. In the interim all deposits and transfer payments have been placed on hold. There is an advanced team that reviews for compliance and other matters, however you cannot talk to anyone directly on the team, so you communicate through WIX support and these customer service people can't even speak directly to the advanced team. Back and forth polite messages appear from WIX support but no real information is ever provided as to when my site will be approved for compliance. Very inefficient and a horrible customer service model. My overall rating is "1" but more appropriately should be "0."
Apparently they've abandoned ship as I finished my domain weeks ago, yet I get endless emails about "finalizing" the process with a premium membership that has been paid and done. No actual live chat support to look into this. Just an idiot BOT that goes nowhere. Feel ripped off, and not happy.
They jack up the price after you create an account by $100 PER MONTH for the Business VIP package then give you false 50% off discounts so you'll end up paying MORE than their original price! I called their customer service line to complain about the issue and they proceeded to lie and tell me there was a price increase in the last 3 months but it never got changed on the website. COMPLETE AND TOTAL SCAM.
For the issue that I had, i was told to email 'abuse' (I am assuming this must reflect the treatment the customer will receive!). I did, but the problem was not resolved, so I wrote back explaining why, and they simply wrote back with the SAME email (bot response?). I called customer service, and was put on hold for 30 minutes to talk to a 'supervisor' who immediately started yelling at me and repeating, you got it, the SAME email. I tried to explain that this will not resolve the problem, but he simply spoke louder, interrupting, and repeating. 1 hour later, nothing was resolved. I called back, nicer person, but nothing was resolved. There is no way to speak to anyone who actually has both the knowledge and authority to troubleshoot and solve a rather simple issue. Too bad, because my experience with building the website was generally positive, but without customer service and respect, there is no reason to use this company.
I have had the most horrific experience with Wix, Their VIP support includes numerous members of staff playing guessing games with DNS records, Wix is not suitable for business websites, because they don't have the support that is needed for when customers need help
If you have a business, I would not recommend Wix. All that jargon about VIP priority support is not true. You can wait months and still not have any resolve, this can be for important things such as DNS or a your content being changed.
I have designed a website with Wix and bought a Premium Plan in March 2022 to 2024. In the first days of January 2023, my website was suddenly gone - completely empty on my account.
After 1 month of emailing with Wix support, they say that they have now found the website and moved to a new account and that the Premium Plan cannot be transferred and that I have to be purchased for a new account.
I then wonder if they credit the Premium Plan I already bought until 2024, but they can't, they say.
Wix is cheating their customers and I will choose another provider for all other websites I now make.
I signed up with WIX. I was lead to believe it would be a straightforward process to use their tools. I didn't like what they offered. Better to learn HTML, CSS, yourself, it really is easier than using WIX. I canceled with someone over the phone, and was assured that was the end of it. Two years later, my credit card was billed for an 'autorenewal' of a service that not only am I not using, I also canceled. Maybe they would have more satisfied customers if they expended as much effort into their tools that they do put into squeezing money out of people that no longer wish to do business with them.
I was launching a new sight and heard using Wix is easy. I bought into that "drag and drop" bull$#*!. When trying to upgrade to premium, they put my account on frozen for nearly two weeks now. Contacted two customer service but still haven't got my issue resolved. Imagine if they do that to your customer, you'd lose your business. I'm searching for another web hosting. Stay away from Wix!
Wix just renewed my premium account and will not refund the coming year, even though I asked for a refund and cancellation in the first 30 days! $384 is not cheap just so I can have no advertisement from Wix. I'll never recommend Wix and also it's hard to use. Two thumbs down for WIX!

The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
