Without notice, my annual fee jumped from just over $95 to $159. No documentation for price increase announced. Lady in customer service completed my refund request and said it may take 20 days. Less than two hours later, I got an e-mail denying my refund request.
I was on hold for 4 hours today only to have the call drop at 3:59 minute mark when I was next in line. Same thing happened earlier this morning; next in line and call dropped. On hold for about 45 mins that time. This is my forth call back I have arranged via their service chat bot, because of course they do not provide a customer service number. Add another 2 hours for the time I spent yesterday trying to resolve this issue. That's about 7 hours of unpaid time wasted.
I have 2 personal websites and 6 client websites all hosted on Wix. I'll will begin migrating all sites away from Wix when the subscriptions expire. Goodbye Wix and hello Shopify!
Wix stock price has increased 232% since the low in March 2020. It would only make sense in that timeframe they'd double down on customer service. Instead they pump more money into advertising. What a joke. Based on the overwhelming negative reviews it's probably a good time to short this stock.
It automatically renewed my premium plan when I had no clue and no email whatsoever about it and planned to move my website elsewhere. THEY SAVED MY CARD INFORMATION - SCAM THIEFS STEALERS I DIDNT AGREE ON THAT! No email whatsoever informing this. I chose 1 F*** YEAR PLAN NOT 2. It's against your own policy! I expect money back otherwise see you in court! This is not legal.
Wix doesn't have respect for other businesses what so ever and the Customer support team is so $#*!ing poor. When you make a call to them they are just there to talk with you instead of solving the issue. If you started your business with Wix I just want to say that you are finished, there is no way to go away from Wix or it is but it is so painful that your $#*! will hurt. We wanted to transfer our Gsuite from Wix to google as they were charging us 3* of the price we can get from Google and as we are going to make our own website but the transfer of the domain and Gsuite has been so much pain, its hilarious. Wix tells us that the transfer has been done properly and Google tells us that it has not and that we need to get in touch with Wix. The google admin panel tells us that our account is still associated with Wix. We cant enter Gmail, Google Drive, or any other products and Wix tells us that it will take several days for Wix to fix this problem. Can you just think about when you cant receive important sales emails and in a critic time where you are in tenders worth over 500.000USD? Or can't work because all of your files were stored at Google drive and because of poor people with small brains that work at Wix don't understand how to do their job correctly.
With the greatest respect to all people that reads this, DO NOT GET ASSOCIATED WITH WIX IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHAT SO EVER, EVEN IF OTHER PLACES COST MORE GO WITH THEM INSTEAD.

I've been using wix for just about 4 months now and found it to be a joke! The site is slow, and their templates look like they're from 1990. Their SEO section is an embarrassment to real SEO rules. Every time their back page editors try to update their features they screw up all others and if you request a call back to discuss the issues, their statement says that it may take a while because of corona. When did corona start to affect those with no interactions with their customers like WIX PHONE SUPPORT? Wix is the worse decision we made for my business!
Whoever this idiot is that "helped" me with my problem did nothing but crash my computer! She told me to go to a website to check what windows I had and my computer locked up! The screen went blue then it told me I now have a virus. When I told her what happened she said well don't you have virus protection as if to blame it on me. Now I can't use my computer until my IT guy can fix. After calling my IT guy he said she never should have sent me to a website like that and that anyone who has anything to do with IT knows this. He said I do have the antivirus software and this website and others like it will do this to any computer even with virus protection. He told me I won't be able to open the page I had open that I was having issues with saving and called them for in the first place. This is ridiculous! Complete unprofessional horrible service!
Good luck trying to find a phone number. If you do, it only refers you to online support. Technical glitches abound with online suppory, including endless login loops. Email? OK if you don't mind waiting a couple weeks, despite endless follow ups. Use godaddy. Prominently displayed phone number, friendly helpful live people always available. Wix sucks. Good product can't make up for nonexistent support.
I attempted to build a website with Wix.com about six weeks ago. Customer service is AWFUL. I should have known in the beginning, no real people, no "chat" without going through an hour of hoops. No help... period. They could NOT get my domain name to work. I paid $162 for the website... and never got it operational. I canceled within 14 days and they sent me an email showing a "refund." That was six weeks ago. NO REFUND has shown up in my bank account. I have emailed them every day for a week and they finally stopped responding to me. They STOLE $162 from me. Run from this company, take your business elsewhere.
Wix is absolutely horrible. Our business closed due to financial difficulties caused by COVID. Only three weeks into a one year subscription, Wix refused to refund any of the money paid for an entire year. I will never use their services again and I would highly recommend others choose a different company to work with as this company treats their customers horribly especially during these difficult times. I'm extremely disappointed with their customer service.

My story may be different from the rest or similar but Wix is the biggest scamming website maker on this internet. If you want to create a website it's nice and all but then to legitimise it you need a domain. They make you pay for the domain for $33 then you have to pay an extra $12.50 PER MONTH to actually connect your domain to your website. AND if you want to have emails don't worry they'll charge you a load of extra money. Take it from me your better off creating your website on Notepad. Even though I spent 3 months creating the website and for 3 days buying a domain off GoDaddy there is no way to connect the domain to Wix and on top of that their is absolutely no way to contact any representative from Wix without wasting your telephone credit. REFUNDS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE DOMAIN. Even if the website took an extreme toll on your mental health. Awful website, awful people who made this. Thanks for nothing!
This is the part where I would say if I could give them zero stars, I would! They recently stole money out of my bank account through the debit card that I used to have linked to my wix account. The business I had wasn't getting any traffic from the website that I made using the wix website editor, so I discontinued my premium subscription 10 months before renewal and removed my debit card from their system. On 8/8/20, I was checking my bank account to see what funds I had available and saw that I was several hundred dollars shorter than I should have been. So I looked at my bank transaction history to see what had been deducted and saw that wix had taken $224.19 out of my account without my permission or authorization. So, the first thing I did was call wix up and find out what happened and why they took money out of my account. They said that I had to put in a refund request and they would get back to me within 20 days. When wix sent me an email confirmation saying that I will get a response within that 20 day time period, they even confirmed themselves that I had unsubscribed to renewal of my premium subscription. How is it that they can take money away from me in 1 day but it takes them 20 to even get back to me with no guarantee of getting it back at all. My suggestion would be to not go with wix at all and go with a reputable company that other people have said that they trust.

They wont refund your money when you want to cancel domain purchase and they will lock your domain for 60days when you need to transfer it to other platform.
We joined WIX in January after doing much research and was told positively there would be no issues with selling CBD online through them. It is now July and we still are not up and running with a payment provider. Why? Because WIX does not integrate with the CBD merchants. Oh they say they will but they don't. We literally had to go to shopify in order to sell online. When we requested a refund since the site had not been published at all - WIX declined within a hour of the request. They did not even refund the remainder of the year which will not be utilizied at all with WIX. Funny they have a webinar coming up on how to sell CBD online with WIX - Don't believe the BS.
Anyone starting an e-business should look elsewhere. Very easy site to use, terrible SEO and almost zero customization when it comes to retail.
Super disappointing when you are starting a business and creating a web presence to end up with the most jacked up company, I did not research them enough apparently. I purchased the business premium website builder plan and they do not offer a mailbox with the site so I had to order a mailbox subscription. My domain is with GoDaddy and I get a free mailbox with my domain. I purchased this domain over ten years ago with no problems. After purchasing the mailbox subscription with Wix I found out you cannot have a mailbox with two different providers. So of course I wanted to get rid of the Wix mailbox because I had the GoDaddy mailbox for 10+ years. Trying to get a simple refund with Wix is such a terrible ordeal. This company has no customer service phone number and you have to submit a refund request of which they just deny you without explanation. I spoke with 4 agents all from Guatemala even though their callback number on my phone says San Francisco, CA. So right there you know they are lying fraudsters. Anyway, none can help and tell me I have to be transferred to "Advanced Billing" who are never available, not in the office, or can't be found. This "international company" mission is to take your money, keep your money, and get more money with renewals. Nothing else matters to them. The CEO and people on top must be reptilians because they are so money hungry thirsty. I would not recommend them at all. Just based on their customer service practices alone.
They were extremely vague when it came to what the plan had to offer and when I bought it I didn't even get date booking for a plane meant for "Entrepreneurs & Freelancers" when I tried to call them they said I had to pay an extra 100+ dollars just to get that so I asked for a refund and they said that they were going to keep the 20$USD for the domain because of some policy that is not clearly stated anywhere on their site or when purchasing it now I'm just stuck with no website time lost and 20$ out of my pocket thanks, Wix.
They'll charge you as long as they have your card on file and that's with the fact that you've canceled your subscription. They're a bunch of crooks and the reviews about the company is really terrible. Cancelling your subscription is no good enough, kindly cancel the financial information you have with them. They're a BIG fraud.
2 years in a row I was billed for services that I cancelled, Getting a refund is a nightmare. All I get is voice messages emails that are meaningless and NO customer service. Time to call the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General.

We had a wix premium subscription that we wanted to cancel because we are going to another webhost. The billing date came up and they automatically renewed and took nearly $300. I requested a refund and they said it will take 20 business days to review and that our review date is on August 2nd. I've honestly never heard of a company taking 20 days just to review IF you could get a refund. I've called customer support (which was difficult to get in touch with) and there is seemingly nothing I can do but wait to see if they will approve my refund. Honestly, do not use wix unless you want to overpay for something you can get at another host that will actually care about your business. We regret utilizing wix for our business website and really cannot believe that they are just playing around with struggling businesses money like this. I genuinely have never had to deal with such a terrible, uncaring company.

Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
