I have only used this b. S. twice. The first one I did, it told me it sent. I called the first day, and some young woman was a p. O. s. And gave me a case number when I tried to cancel the order and told me she couldn't do anything for 24 hrs. I called 9 times. 9 TIMES. I GOT HUNG UP ON! BY A RECORDING! Then I finally got a hold of a person. And she took 50 minutes on the phone to cancel. Told me I didnt need a case number in the first place. This is ridiculous how an establishment, that has to be well organized due to the amount of customer information they consume, could Be so dismissive and intolerant of there own mistakes. Take care of your customers!
Do not tell your customers that you care for them, do not tell your customers you are helpful. Do not tell your customers they have 2- 3 business days for a transfer. I have yet to realize why WU continuously lir to you customers. Keep your customers updated on there money. Do not just say "waiting to transfer into the account". How can that amount just f-ing go missing? Wouldnt recommend to anyone. Ever! At least not anyone you trust.
Western union is a great service when you are actually able to get into the website to do your business. Most times I have to go on about 10 different times before I can actually get on. Sometimes I think they make it that way so you have to do your business at their local business sites and pay more in fees. I get the loading circle for a half hour and just give up as I'm sure many people do. No it's not my WiFi signal. I'm using a work computer most times and it doesn't work off WiFi. It's just a really overloaded website. I'll just use PayPal or zelle instead western union.

Sent the money 4 days ago, was told it would be 0-1 day for the money to reach at the receiver's end, but after 4 days no one knows where my money is. Phoned numerous times and got told lies (I mean absolute lies) by everyone. Escalated it to their ''senior'' department and was supposed to get an email in 24 hrs by their senior staff but nothing. Phoned and made a complaint, compalint ref was given and was told I would get an email in 24 hrs but nothing at all. Phoned again, as usual, some very very rude guy, given some silly reasons again. They have my money, which is a substantial amount, and kind of walked off with it. Please DO NOT use Western Union if you want your money to reach at the other end safely.
Worst customer service ever! Simply they disappeared with my money. Have tried emailing, calling, chatting online and no one have an answer why the funds weren't transferred. The money left my account but never arrived at country. I was never informed of any issue and the transaction went through. No one picks up the phone at customer care, no one replies to the emails and I don't know where is my money!
Western union use to be okay but they are not worth it anymore. I mean the customer service in the Philippines are so rude and unprofessional. I'm so done with western union because of poor customer service.
I'm advising all Nigerians and Africans abroad to deviate from using western union to send money transfer to their loved ones in Nigeria and other African countries because of racial profiling. For quiet sometime now, Western union has been racial profiling Nigerians whenever they tried to send money home to support their family members back home in Nigeria. On two occasions I tried to send money to friends and relatives in Canada and overseas, they ask me for my country of birth, whenever I tell them that I was born in Nigeria, they refuse me service. I want to categorically send a sound message to western management that theres a class action lawsuit in the works for racial profiling and harrassment of innocent Nigerian customers trying to use western union to send money transfer and we experience racial profiling. We are in the process of retaining an attorney for a class action lawsuit. I have setup a facebook account to fight western union for discrimination. When does a country of birth became a requirement to send money transfer to love ones? Whenever you tell western union that you were born in Nigeria, you are refused service, and you're being treated like a criminal. Nigerians have been patronizing Western union for decades and we've spent millions of dollars on fees for sending money
Through western union, there are millions of hard working Nigerians and they dont deserve to be treated like criminals. To this end, I'm advising all Nigerians and other African people abroad to boycott Western union for money transfer because they're ignorant and ungrateful, we're no longer going to be loyal to them. Western Union does not deserve our business. Please use other money transfer services like moneygram, world remit or through your local banks.
There are plenty out there to send money to your love ones. I would never use this company again. There suck! For my experience in this company I gave 0 rate.
I did do the process they told me to do to get my whole amount of transfer transaction for the last year 2019. They sent me a form I already sent it back to Nina a worker there. I called their phone number on *******268, and Maite said I did 15 transactions but she did not tell me how much the total, or even how much each transaction for me to add with no reason. It was easy to give me that because it was in front of her but she refused to say call tomorrow and we will let you know how much. I called again the second day the phone number of the headquarter, Nina answered and she said we will go over the process and I will give you the information. She reviewed the form and asked me to call the second day to check on the status of the request. I asked to speak to her manager, she transferred me to Cole the supervisor who said the same but I asked to speak with a manager, not a supervisor, we waited so long on hold, and then Cole the supervisor told me the manager in a meeting by a cold way although it is easy for them to give me the amount of the transaction and they can ask for verification about our identity instead of wasting our time and effort about this issue. My husband was listening to the conversation, and he is sick with high blood pressure and diabetes, this is a shame that we can not know the amount even through our account in the app or on. A computer. Thair process is complicated and taking a long time. We took all the processes from the customer service to the cooperate manager and no one help.

The day after I went back in the morning and the number gave a blank page. The employee told me to come back at 2 pm.
When going back at 2 pm the number gave a blank page. The employee called someone and they told me to contact the sender. I messaged my dad.
Later that day I searched online for a solution. I couldn't find anything and called western union. I asked them about the transfer. They told me it was available in the country of receiver. I told them that I was at a western union location at 2 pm that day and it gave a blank page. They double checked. They told me that the country of receiver was incorrect. My dad had entered the same country as of sender.
I told my dad to change the country of receiver.
When going back to the western union, I showed them the receipt. All they said was 'no'. They thought I would simply go away. I didn't. I stood there while calling my dad. He said he had send another receipt. So I showed them the receipt. When initially going the western union I had to fill out a form. Now I had another receipt, I had to fill out the form again, just because the tracking number was different. All the other information on the form was the same.
I had to do all this bloody effort in order to get the bloody money.
MY ACTUAL GOD. Western union is a JOKE.
This company and its employees are professional at being amateurs.

Too bad there is not a negative rating. BUYER BEWARE! I bought $3600 worth of money orders to cure a foreclosure. The mortgage company did not accept the payment and returned the money orders. I returned the original money orders AND receipts for a refund and have been getting the run around for over 2 months. Now they are asking me to fill out a whole new set of paperwork and and wait up to 2 more months for a refund because they have "no record of receiving the money orders". I sent the money orders 2 day air and the delivery was confirmed. I emailed copies of the money orders, receipts, proof of delivery, and everything else they asked for, was directed to email 4 different "departments", and had to attach all the information each time with no resolution. Further, I have another $5000 to return from the same attempt to cure and no one will give me information on how to make sure this will not happen again. BEWARE!
Western Union is a service of $#*!ING CROOKS! They have no problem taking your money, but then for said money to be distributed, they make you beg for it even after a week of waiting. Worst experience ever and I truly hope that nobody ever uses their service again. Don't be taking advantage of by the $#*!ING $#*!S!

To my greatest surprise, Within 1 hour of sending money for $250 to the hackers, I got my MTCN for $3,000, I was shocked so I did an online tracking and the money was there, so today, I went to the bank and I was paid $3,000 in cash! In my entire life I have NEVER had to pay a $15 processing fee for a lost money order that was lost by the United States Post Office. These people are thefts and it's LEGAL! Thank goodness that I have not had to send any money to anyone. Who the #%#% knows how much it would have cost if that had not made it. I have purchased money orders from this company for a decade without a problem. I HAD NO IDEA they charged this enormous fee if a money order was lost. Thinking all the time I had no worries if one did get lost in the mail. They would stand behind it with my receipt. Who the heck can afford such a charge? Western Union are bigger thefts than the BANKS! Honestly, I didn't think it was possible for anyone to be worst than our BANKS in this country. I stand corrected!

I tried to send money to a friend in South Africa. They refused to release the funds because they ASSUMED that it was a Fraud Scam. I told them it was for an emergency for a friend that I both knew and trusted. This is what happens when a lie is started by someone and spreads like wildfire. I am now being viewed as an accomplice to suspicious activity in my bank account. There was No such evidence and because of the way I was treated Do Not Send Money thru Western Union or Moneygram unless you want to be treated like a criminal.
