They are the worst. I have sent money to them for 10 years to 2 missionaries in villages. No issue and they show this in their files. But this Christmas they flagged as fraud and then tried to get me to answer misleading questions instead of just verifying the person I was sending to and for the record has been in their system for 10 years. So because of this 70 orphans get no Christmas dinner and starving pastors get no food. I am more than miffed and this should be addressed. Not to mention they hung up on me the first time after 15 min and passed to several dept..
I try to reset my account, they send email with links that won't work, they have fake customer service, wtf happen to western union, weird. One time i was in a remote location and i couldn't go to the store i couldn't send money to my parents.
Is time to find a new money service i have been using this service for years, well too bad, their lost.
I have not used Western Union in 5 years. I tried to send money to my relative. They flagged it for fraud. Mental $#*! customer service refused to send money even though I answered all of their security questions with 100 percent accuracy. Never do business with them.

Futile efforts to use Western Union to transfer funds to a friend in another country, vis-a-vis bank account to bank account. 3 transfers; 1 finally succeeded (after an hour long talk with someone on the phone, who promised that all 3 would go through); 1 mysteriously to be "refunded" after 7 business days; 1 perennially "in progress"---and I am given no opportunity to stop it. The many people I've talked with on the phone are sweet and kind but seem not to have access to any more information than I get on the web-site, which is uninformative and in some instances simply wrong. I WILL NEVER USE WESTERN UNION AGAIN!
I absolutely hate having to Use Western Union. Every time I use them either to send or receive money, it's always a problem with getting it. They are the worst I'm so happy that there are other ways of sending money besides them they're acting like it's still the 1800s no stars at all and 10 thumbs down they suck
I've been use WU for many years. Use to be very good because I did not know anything better.
Now we have others companies that can offer same service for better rate and pay more for your dolar in your country. Also with better App better custom service much more actualized service. I switch for Ramitly they are give much better service then WU.
WU is way to spansive! And old fashion. Needs new APP. I have to drive to super market pay $11 to get my service. This is absolutly crayzy! Using Ramitly I pay $5.99 and use my cell phone. And they pay more for my dolar in my country.
Usually I just send money through Western Union without checking the exchange rate, that is until I noticed a hug drop, checked the exchage rate and Western Union were offering a considerate big difference... very very low rate. Its very angering because they charge a fee... so they are making money on top of your money. That is not transparency its very crooked
Total time wasted four and a half hours 5 days later just had to get refund which ran me all over town when requesting help frequently cannot get past automated system when you do get agent the information is incorrect which I believe is just their standard reply when things don't go right
I can t find a place open 5 dollar generals not working? Delta gas station s hasn't used WU in over a year... still listed on the WU APP! Piggley wiggly stopped using WU and still on WU sight and apps!
If you want to hold on to ur $$$ DO NOT US THE APP... PRETTY MUCH A SCAM. I'VE USED IT. IT TAKES UR $ AND TRANSACTION WILL NOT GO THROUGH. BEWARE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP
Never had a problem with several transfers to Uganda. All were received within the time stated. I even was able to get a one-time discount on the WU fee! There seem to be more problems with shaky internet overseas including attempts at email communication as of Oct. 15,2021 when I tried to send another transfer, but this is not their fault. Appreciate WU very much. Thank you.
After two workings days, not getting money or confirmation when will get money … tracking shows I will get my money in after 0 hours. That's being said I should get my money … there 24*7 chat is useless … not answering… only today I tried almost 20 times and I got two time response. First response - technician error and 2nd response- I will get my money end of the day. Now time is 9.04 pm … I didn't get my money and tracking says under process …giving 1 star because can't find option for 0 star
I'll try to be polite but the cancel me twice my transfer to my friends just because supposedly fraud and I'm so frustrated with their like it's stupid, annoying and ridiculous they way they managed because even tho I called several times they tried me like a thief asking me so many questions like interview, they policy of security it's ridiculous and stupid.
I waited on the phone for 1 hour, Josie, 151 was rude as hell, he refused to help me because my phone number change, he hang up the phone and declined my request to speak with a supervisor after I provided all my information to him. I hate western union now because of him, I will delete the app and block both accounts. Unprofessional worker.
On the phone for over an hour. Language barrier, phone glitches, technical issues, keep rotating calls. Pakistan customer service is really sarcastic and rude. She told me I need to move faster when entering the numbers.
I sent money to my wife in the Philippines and they lost the money! Many many calls later, they promised a full refund, it never happened. 22 days later, NO MONEY! Call after call, promise after promise still no money!
NEVER USE WESTERN UNION
A nightmare to use. It shows a sample figure, let`s say £200, UK to USA, followed by the $ amount. I then try and enter the amount I want to send and cannot remove/delete the £200. A totally rubbish outfit.
I will never use their services again. If I could give minus 5 stars I would. I have tried to send two transfers using the online website during the last month. Each time, after an extensive, intrusive question and answer session my transfer was rejected. I have been a customer since 2009 and have sent many, many wires to various family members in the Philippines. The particular person I was sending to has been a receiver many times over the last over the last year. So much for "Western Union gets your funds there quickly and reliably".
This is the worst money transfer service I have ever used. I sent the money and unfortunately the receiver had problems picking it up. So I supposed to get my money back. Whenever I called thier customer service they are rude and uneducated people. Who don't let you finish a single sentence to explain the issue. They don't know how to solve problems so they go the easy way keep redirecting me from person to the other or a store to store. And I still did not get my refund. I won't use it again and I am going to fight thier rudness until I get my refund back. I don't recommend this service to anyone money gram is better service and professionalism.
