I bought a couple of watches from this site and never got any problems. I was quite surprised with the reviews here. I am also a businessman and I know what I want with my purchases. Try these: write down all of the questions you have before you make any transaction so that you'll be able get all info you need. Second, make sure you get all contact information. Third, communicate all the things you wanted and expected from the company, this will give them an idea of what you think is fair. Lastly, and the most important thing is make sure of what the terms for the payment is, so that you'll not be surprised on when your check will be arriving.
NEVER, NEVER send your precious timepiece to these people. It is a SCAM! I sent my Rolex & been 3 months, no payment!. Reported this to Atlanta FBI already. It is a SCAM! Be careful!
I finally got my LV bag from my dad! Nice. :) Too bad he sold his watch for it. Though it gave me and my sis something we really love. I found out from my dad that he sold the watch to this site. I thought he was going to sell it to my uncle. Anyways, as long as I have my LV bag, I have to give thanks to the site. I am surprised however with lots of negativity going around here. Well I hope you guys will get the same deal as my dad's. Take care everyone and good luck! :)
I have read all the reviews and don't know where to start. Well, I'll make it short and sweet... I sent these guys my Rolex Daytona a couple of months ago... As soon as they received my watch they had it evaluated. As i have expected a little over my estimated value of the watch. They sold it after 2 weeks and told me i will be receiving a check. So I waited... after a week i verified my check and was told it is being processed. They gave me Rick Latona's email and was promised to get my check after a week or so. A week has passed still did not get my check. Emailed Mr. Latona and was assured that the check was already sent out. After 2 more days i got my check and an email from Mr. Latona, and that the reason for the delay was they had the watch re evaluated and was worth a little more than what was expected. The extra money was worth the wait...
Last weekend, I was in a family get together. I met my cousin who just sold his Rolex watch. That's probably why he has some new gadgets with him at the party. He told me that he sold it at watchbrokers.com. He looked satisfied with the transaction, selling his Rolex to buy some new techy stuff. So I figured I would check on SJ and make the first review for the site I previously have no idea of. I was pretty amazed on how many reviews it had already.; p
There are a lot of bad reviews and some good ones. The reviews are even dated back early this year. The good part is some of the complaints were resolved (based on the comments/reviews).
Hmm, I think everyone should talk with this guy RJ, he seems to be the proactive contact person for the company. He might be the designated cleanup guy or the manager. :) I hope all other issues are resolved asap.
On that note, my dad keeps bugging me on having is Rolex fixed and noticed that the site is also servicing these watches. I would try them out but I'd have my cousin do this for me. :) He's the one who had good words for watchbrokers.com.
At first, I was very hesitant to do business with any brokers. The thing is my dad gave me this watch that was also given to him as a gift from his dad. Since the watch is for a guy, and I don't really have a thing with watches and also needed a fast cash, I checked out some websites and after doing some research which consisted of asking friends and google, I decided I'll sell it. Since I wanted to make sure that I'll be paid the amount of what the watch is worth, I had it evaluated first before deciding who my broker would be. I contacted them and found no trouble in getting an immediate response to all my queries. They made it a point to make it very easy for me. I even told them I needed the money immediately and that is the only reason I'm selling it. True to their word, got my check after a week that it has been sold. They are very professional and I would certainly recommend it. 5 stars is not enough for you guys!
Eric, Al and all of watchbrokers.com:
If I don't receive contact about my check that should have been sent over 3 weeks ago, I will be pursuing legal actions through all means necessary. This will commence immediately in the next couple of days unless I am provided contact. I have left messages everywhere I can find, and if I don't hear back immediately, you will all be included in this suit, along with everyone else on this site.
Hello everyone,
Since we are all common victims of watchbrokers.com I suggest we make a sustained and systematic effort to collectively file our grievances. We can do this concurrently with our individual complaints. In fact, collective action may even add more force to it.
What suggestions do you have as starting points? Should we start a message board, a Facebook group, or an email thread so that we can document our exchanges and brainstorms on this matter?
As it stands I have considered some methods we can employ along with taking the formal channel: we can do petitions, mass calling campaigns, awarenes campaigns etc. We just need to be on the same page and I think we can all do some good against them. If we have enough people on board, I think we can delegate the tasks evenly.
Anyway, I look fwd to hearing your thoughts on this action.
Where do I start... I had s aimilar experience that many others on here have had. Very good at first... helpful, and easy to reach on the phone. I contacted them to send my watch back after several weeks. When it was not returned on the day it was supposed to arrive, I called Eric Toso. Magically, it was sold to a gentleman in Portugal, and nobody knew what happened. SO, we had to wait for the watch to be sent to Europe, then for the customer to decide if he wanted to keep it, and so on. The bottom line is that my (18kt) watch is gone, I have no check, and I cannot get ahold of ANYBODY. I have sent emails, called and left messages... I have had it.
I have contacted the Office of Consumer Protection in Georgia, and plan to go after these guys. Any info would be appreciated.
I wouldn't even give them one star rating. I have been nothing but lied too and been waiting on my money since feb. I sent them a $20,000 watch. At this point, I think I have lost it and that they are nothing but a scam!
WARNING! THESE PEOPLE ARE DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL!
My sister (who is not computer savy) sent her $11,000 Cartier watch in to be sold by these folks. They appeared legit at first. Very helpful, sent a prepaid FedEx box to her home. Very nice. Well, The nicieties ended when they got the watch. They said the watch was sold and promised her a check that day. Then the next WQednesday. Then the next Friday. Etc... It's been over 2 months and she still can't get a check or her watch back. Every time she calls she gets a different story from JC Piquandt (spelling?). We will be contacting appropriate authorities. Feel free to contact me for more info. And a BIG thank you to Rolf and the work he has been doing to stop these crooks.

I found the website and research the company. After speaking with them and learning about how they do business, I sent them my A Lange & Sohne watch valued at about $15,000. They performed just as they promised and did get my watch sold for its value. My payment from them of $10,075 was about a week late, which did have me worried. I was able to talk to the onwer of the company and he personally took care of making sure I was paid right away. I would recomend these professionals to anyone of my family or friends. The best... Richard
I sent this company a '50s gold petek which was sold (according to them) over a month ago. I've been told they would send me payment two seperate times by two different people (CJ was one), and never received the payment. NEVER DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS, they will LIE AND CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR WATCH! Someone needs to go over there and burn down the place - this is a good example of a bad business and governement that can't do it's job and lock these guys up. I can only hope that each of the crooks that works there get cancern and that each of their family members also a striken!
watchbrokers.com is a fruadulant opperation and would take food from a baby's mouth. Just to satisfy there dirty deeds. Anyone that does get involved with this scumbucket of a so called co. Is in for a rude jamming session. Shame on these crooks. I hope they burn badly they play a cool scam, that I can say cause they got me. Right where it hurts thanks for listening
After reading all the reviews here I was a little hesitant to purchase from watchbrokers.com. I did however proceed with the purchase of a high end Vacheron piece.
I dealt with Adam Beebe (*******@watchbrokers.com) and found his service and communication to be superb. Watch was exactly as described and delivered super fast as he said it would be. As a buyer, I had no issues what so ever and was very happy with my experience and wouldn't hesitate in buying from them again.
Watchbrokers.com is nothing but a big Scam and we plan to pursue them. We are in the same boat as the rest of you. They sent Fedex to the house in Feb. To pick up the Rolex Watch and were told the watch sold on March 15th. We have not seen any payment and they refuse to return any phone calls. I found that if you call them and press 2 to sell your watch someone will always answer. Yet, Chantel the girl that answered today thought what I was saying to be funny and JC will never get on the phone. I have filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs and will be calling BBB next. I have also googled the address 3 West Paces Ferry suite 201 and have found that Rick Latona has several different business listed for this address. If only we had known!
I contracted this company to sell my Rolex watch, now they will not pay me the money they owe me they will not answer or return my phone calls. At first they will promise you the moon, than when they get your watch they are done with you. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. If any one else has experianced the same thing you should file a complaint with the Georgia consumes affair dept. Once again DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
My story is the same as so many others here. I sent Watchbrokers my Omega SpeedMaster in December. In late February, when I inquired about its return (since it hadn't sold), Eric Toso told me it had been sold and I should receive payment in about 25 days.
Twenty-five days later and no payment. I called and emailed Toso -- repeatedly. No replies. I contacted Customer Service and talked to JC (Jean Claude)Piquant on April 4. He said the check would be cut the week of the 11th. It's the 17th and -- no check.
I'm going after these guys: BBB, A-G, GA Secy of State, Fulton County Prosecutor's office, FCC, FTC.
Any wants to join me, you can reach me at *******@peoplepc.com

Well I'll start by saying, they sounded great at first, but no I am learning the truth the hard way. I sent in a watch and was told the expected price the watch should bring. It sounded great they sell the watch I get some cash. Now that over a month has passed with no contact either by phone or email I am thinking I got duped. I see R J posts here so reply to this one. Answer your email. I have sent you requests for status on your email and on the website contact us page. The lack of response on your part is forcing me to take action for a response. I was told that most watches sell within 10 days, and that's great if it takes 20 or 30 whatever. GIVE A STATUS UPDATE! As for this review, I will say the customer service at first is good, but once they have your merchandise they forget or ignore you.
Well i have pretty much the same story as everybody here.
Send my watches to them 2.5 month ago. Before they got my watches they would call everyday to help, make sure, assist. Now i have to leave numerous emails, voice mails etc just to get someone eon the phone to be fed with one more "soon" or "couple days".
I've sent Cartier, Omega and Tag Hayert watches to these guys, all together worth about $5000.
Now i am seriously concerned and not sure what to do...
