Walmart's reputation is mixed, with customers appreciating its wide product selection and competitive pricing, which enhance accessibility and affordability. However, significant concerns arise regarding delivery reliability, order accuracy, and customer service quality. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled orders, inadequate support during issues, and negative interactions with staff. They ripped me off $104 when I shipped back a defective hoverboard and they claimed they didn't recieve it
I purchased for my 15 year old son a basketball hoop for Christmas from Walmart.com. I had it shipped because I could not carry it. And I also paid additional $99 for their handyman service to come out and put it together. Well it is obvious the handyman service just hire anyone. For one it took these two guys forever to put it together and the hoop fell and came apart I half. I called Walmart and they advised me to call the handy service back which I did they came out a week later Robert who works for the handyman service advised me the hoop was damaged and not put together properly. Now here is the fun part Walmart would like me to pay a restocking fee (the handymen threw away the box it came in. Not to mention I can't box it up due to the weight and the fact it is still half way together. Fed Ex came to pick it up but it has to be boxed. So I called the handyman service back I was hung up on three times, each time I was asked to hold and bam hung on. So here I am paid Walmart almost $300 for the hoop and $99 for the handyman service not even two months and this is how I am treated. I am so upset the such a large company like Walmart lacks good customer service. I am forced to possibly take this to my local news station. As if we have not been through enough as a country. I think this is a easy fix on Walmart and their handyman service. How could these people be so cruel to a child and to their customers. I just want my son who has been through COVID from no 8th grade graduation to enter high school on line his first year to have an outlet and be able to be a kid.
Unlike Amazon.com here at Walmart you're dealing with a third party, so you need to wait until the third party confirm that everything is ok for you to get your money back!
Return like Amazon should be auto populated, I have to chase down my return since does not show up any where. So not recommended.
I've had multiple orders shipped where everything is packed into the same box, and I mean easily squishable pills in the same box as a lot of clear American sparkling waters that crushed the pill box. I've had chip bags in with prune juices and the bag arrived wide open (thankfully it didn't spill!). So i've learned to make separate orders for things that should not be in the same box! Their packaging is... less than ideal. And i've heard from others that have the same experience.
However I can say one time I got 5 less waters than I ordered and when I contacted them online it was quick and easy to get a refund.
The website seems to be confused. I'll filter by "ship" and when I go to order, some things can't be shipped and I gotta readjust my order, because stuff they claim can be shipped all of a sudden can't when you go to order it.
So, Walmart isn't the best but I don't think they are the worst either. I've experienced worse.
So the large sign on the display says the "new" brand of Grainola bars are $3.00 a box. But when you check your sales slip, the Walmart computer charged $3.79,. Repeat over and over. $. 56 here, $1.00 there. Grapes; toilet paper; eggs, soup, bathmat. Walmart added inflation. Fraud. Report it to the store managerment: - nothing changes. Report it to Walmart Corporate - nothing changes. Report it to the state consumer fraud folks; we'll see. In the meantime, watchout if shopping at Walmart.
Walmart shows a million grocery items online but there's barely any of it that you can buy that they ship any longer. There's never anything showing to be in stock. You have to sort throw hundreds of items that they don't ship to find the very few that they do. I could walk the 5 miles to town to go shopping and do it easier than sorting through all the stuff they don't sell. The filters don't work. I don't understand why they have do much junk listed on a shopping app that's supposed to be for delivery that you can't buy. It's worthless
I ordered several things and received them all. However, 11 weeks later Walmart deducted $16 from my account. They said it was legit, but my math showed that it wasn't. I haven't bought from them since both in store and online. See you later.
I DON'T TRUST WALMART! You would think you could trust one of the biggest companies in the US with not stealing from you but I learned the hard way this is not true. I had bought a hoverboard for my son's birthday. He was beyond thrilled! Unfortunately in the first two days we noticed it wasn't holding a charge. Immediately filed for a return. I received a shipping label to send it back. Headed to FedEx and dropped it off. Received a confirmation from Walmart that the package was en route to them and I would be receiving my refund within a few days. I never received a refund! I have now called and chatted online with them numerous times in the past several months and I still have not received a refund. They always tell me my problem is being escalated but no one ever gets back to me as they state they will within 24 hours. How can this company accept my return and then never give me my funds back? I wouldn't be as upset if it wasn't over $100 but I'm out $133 and Walmart received the merchandise back. Shame on Walmart!
I recently tried Walmart's online service trying to look for bargains while shopping online at home. They did meet my expectations but with a drawback.
I am noticing time after time these discounted products that they are sending me are end of shelf-life products. I had some cookies that I ordered from them and they crumbled just opening the package. So you are not going to get the same thing that you would get if you shop at the local Walmart grocery store. What they are giving you is their outdated products near the end-of-life inventory. Or items that they cannot move. At first, I thought I just got a bad batch, then upon more regular deliveries, I understood what they were doing. They are not giving you quality products but the things that are not moving. Now if I was asked that beforehand then I would not mind, but that was not my intention. If I wanted outdated products I would go to what I call, third-world groceries stores in my neighborhood. Too bad Walmart but I need to go elsewhere because even though I am a discount shopper, I know I still can get quality. Why would I buy consumables that are ready to be spoiled?
Every time I place an order Walmart ships some of the items come ship in individual boxes and I'm getting charged a for each box. These are food items I never get my non-food items from Walmart. This year alone I've been over charged $57.81 and now I have to borrow money to pay my rent. I'm furious!
Got an oil change that took 3.5 hours. They didn't have my filter and made me go buy one at another store. The next day while I was driving, I noticed the car began shaking pretty violently while running. It had never done that and it was SCARY. It got worse as I drove around, and when I stopped to put gas and inspect it, I saw oil pouring out from under my car in a steady stream. The oil leak was coming from the new filter, so I reached my hand down there and THE FILTER WAS COMPLETELY LOOSE. I had to buy 3 quarts of oil after tightening the filter, and the car is still violently shaking and running terribly now. We don't know what to do about this… Thanks for totaling my car Walmart, I will never do business with you again
I had purchased a couple cans of Great Value chunky canned chicken.
I was gettin my dinner prepared as I opened the can of chicken it exploded I'm my face, I was hit instantly w/ a nasty smell, I started vomiting. It took 3 baths to finally get the smell off of me, I had to throw away my brand new jacket I had just sent 79 dollars on and my blouse that was a horrible experience and I will never buy that product again.
I have a warning for those of us in the Butte, Montana area. I truly appreciate my Vision Doctor at Walmart. He is very thorough and professional. However, I was on hold 1:47:26 for the vision center after agreeing to be put on hold. 1 Hour and 47 minutes!
It took 2 individuals from the regular store phone number and being placed on hold a couple more times (using my husbands phone) before I was answered by the vision center on my phone. Then it took another call before I could talk to the stores shift manager WHO said it was perfectly OK for that situation to happen. That one should expect that in dealing with their "busy" store. REALLY! What happened to customer service within a store wanting repeat customers. Fair warning! The Doctor is good, but store managers and associates leave one wanting—for true customer service.
Return policy states if you are not happy 100% you can return the item. Since you cant try on items on line you end up purchasing multiple items and the ones that dont workout you return them. Be aware of their "algorithm". Your account will get flagged and account close without seeing if current orders were shipped or not. No credit or refunds will be issues once the account is closed. You are stuck with items that do not fit. Their customer service is unprofessional. Now that all customer service is out sourced to Mexico and India, good luck on getting any help and when you get someone in TX regarding your account, they will so RUDE and treat you like garbage. As if you are inconveniencing them with questions. Once your account is closed you are no long able to obtain your invoices or receipts. AVOID online shopping!
I ordered online products and half of the order can not be deliver and charged our credit card and never received any products. They are liers and cheaters...
Insisted on checking my 2 tiny bags while licking his food off his hands then pawing through touching all my items. So disgusting! Covid y'all! It's not like I could refuse or leave! So angry! Walmart Bartlett Tn needs better employees.
I tried to buy gardening tools on this site because it's advertised as cheaper than Amazon. When I tried to make a purchase, the walmart site went blank. It went blank for several minutes and wouldn't allow me to purchase merchandise.
Walmart is the place to shop. Whether it's online or in-person shopping it's the place to go. They have the best experience ever.
Shopping walmart online is a ripoff they don't send the items and try to keep your money. They are bad
I am so thankful for the amazing Walmart Delivery service that I have been using for the past two years. With having two toddlers, it has kept me from going insane by not having to shop in the store where they fuss or fight over whatever they see. My items always come on time and I am so thankful that I can get basically anything I need all from one website. Thank you so much!
