Was put on hold by pharmacy for 47 minutes and was hung up on twice. I know they have caller ID, but rather than answering the phone to discuss a prescription issue, they chose to totally ignore it. Issue could have been resolved in a phone conversation of less than 2 minutes. What they did shows a total lack of respect for customers. If I could have rated Walgreens less than a one star, I would have given the store a minus 5. Now my fiancé has to go through the night without antibiotics due to the attitude of the employees of Walgreens. Simply said, Walgreens sucks!

Positive reviews
October 2, 2021

I just saw where Walgreens is bragging that 20.8% positive reviews is a good thing. That leaves 79.2% negative. I guess Walgreens is proud of it's 79.2% negative rating. No wonder their service and customer interactions are so poor and their website is useless. The most positive thing I can say about Walgreens is I'm switching to another pharmacy. I won't miss the indignity's and lack of compassion they show to me and other customers. The staff at the store located in Austin, TX@ 5819 Koenig Lane has accused me of lying and being a drug seeker. I have CPTSD and my medications all come from the same doctor I've been using for years.
I went to Walgreens site and had inexplicably archived one of the meds my doctor sent a prescription for and no longer showed the other medication he had prescribed. I called Walgreens. They found the newest med prescription but said the doctor would have to resend the other script. I guess my 'REALLY' face worked because they then said they would call the prescription in to the doctor. My doctors office sent me a text thanking me for calling Walgreens and getting things straight.
The next day I called the pharmacy to make sure everything was ready. I have a long drive and try to do all my errands at one time. I was told everything is ready to be picked up. WRONG! Once I got there I was told one of the prescriptions couldn't be filled until the 5th. This wasn't the first or second or third or fourth time this has happened. I admit I lost my temper and I apologize. That just gives the staff to blame mistakes on the 'angry guy'. That is also a symptom of my CPTSD. Emotional over reaction triggered by the feeling of being lied to. When promises made become promises broken trust is the loser. Walgreens has lost my trust.
I haven't attached because too much personal info on them.

Worst Pharmacy Ever
September 10, 2021

Walgreens in Angier NC is awful! I really don't have any other options. Twice now I have had medication missing and they are Controlled Substances. The Manager, Luke is rude, he informed me that he found my medication in the pharmacy I could go back and get it. I told him driving was hard for me, he said " I did my part, I found your medication." I went today to get it, spent 27 minutes in the drive thru, and treated like crap. I was asked to come inside when I said no, I had already waited 27 minutes the girl finally asked someone, then she tried to charge me again! I spent 2 days to get medication not to mention the pain of having to drive! If you have ANY other options STAY FAR AWAY from this store!

Poor customer service
September 8, 2021

I am in Slidell La and my normal store is closed. I normally receive excellent service but not since Hurricane Ida. I have been put on hold for hours with no help. Today at noon i finally got someone to help me transfer a very important prescription and she told me to come before 5 pm the the store would be closing at 5. My wife arrived at 4:33 and was turned away saying the pharmacy closed at 4:30. I am irate! The Store is the one on Military Road in Slidell La. When i asked for a manager no one could help. These people really dont care about their customers! This is very sad for a company providing medication to elderly people.

They just don't care
September 8, 2021

We have auto refill at Walgreens. My husband's prescription needed to be reordered by our doctor. Did they call the doctor... no. Did they call me... no. Did the prescription run out... yes. They made ME call the doctor to make sure he would reorder it before the holiday weekend. Did they call to let me know the prescription was finally ready... no. Did my husband miss 3 doses of his medication because of this mess... yes. Was "Shannon" sorry when I called to find out if the prescription was finally ready... no. Did she give me a smart $#*! response when I asked her if his meds were ready... YOU BET SHE DID. You know why she felt comfortable being a smart $#*! to a customer... BECAUSE WALGREENS JUST DOESN'T CARE!

Walgreens policy of asking you to belt out your name and date of birth for anyone in the store, or parking lot if you're at the drive-up, is a very bad one. Worse, if you offer your government issue ID instead, they refuse!

When I don't feel like going to a big grocery store I go to Walgreens. Walgreens stores are always supplied with basic necessary items. ALWAYS NICELY STOCKED. Representatives are always helpful online as in person. Love Walgreens.

Walgreens is a joke
It takes all day of holding on then u get cut off several times
It's taken me literally all day to get my meds
Most uncaring place I've ever seen
Only reason I go here is bc they are only one that accepts my insurance for meds I have to be on
It's ridiculous
Then when u go to pick up it's another hour wait in line

I left Wal-Mart pharmacy because they could not get their act together with the website and ordering. It was horrible. Well, I am going back, as much as I despise them, they were better than Walgreens. Sign in, order meds, say you will be notified when ready. Two days later, no record of order. THIS IS MEDICATION people, not bars of soap. Get it right! Then, the constant notifications to refill Rx's, even ones from years ago that was a one shot thing. And medications that are not due. I was told there is no way to take them out of my profile, I would have to opt out of notifications, but then I would not be notified of ones I need. I am pretty tech savvy, and I am done with this third grader built website. I don't know how old folks do it. Horrible service to say the least.

It's been 5 days or so since I've had my exit only area empty like a woodchipper does as it's spitting out wood on a hot summer day. I kept trying and trying to make my poopshoot go poop but nothing. I'd been clinching my buttcheeks together and releasing like it's a daily workout ritual for days now. I made my way into the local Walgreens to search for the perfect butt washer. I found myself eyeballing something that looked like a giant douche. I wasn't for sure whether I should get the single or a 6 pack. I called all my friends and even asked the cashier if she wanted to join my terd spewing party. Unfortunately they all turned me down. When I returned to my homestead, I realized the box stated "ready to use" I inserted the entire package in my turd cutter, alarming the enema was actually inside the box... So apparently it's not "ready to use." Finally retrieving the enema out of the box, after I removed the plastic sleeve 5 hours later and exposed the lubricated tip the enema was ready to insert. But much to my surprise, the tip had not been lubricated and felt more like a cat's tongue. After feeling the cat's tongue I made my way to my throne and I noticed the pictures on the box, realizing I had administered it in the wrong position apparently ur not supposed to stand on your head and shove it in like your stuffing your grandmother's Thanksgiving turkey. I started squirting out turds like a machine gun then there was an explosion like a volcano. Moral of the story never plug your poop shooter and always... Always read the directions first.

I scheduled a booster Covid-19 dose for my elderly mother and took her to receive it. We were turned away as they demanded a photo ID of her, which she didn't cary on her at that time (she doesn't drive and is completely dependent on me for all her needs). When the appointment was scheduled, an ID was not among requested items to bring to the appointment (checked again and again). My younger son was vaccinated 1 week prior to that at another Walgreen location and no ID was asked of me or him. A friend was vaccinated at a Walgreens in another state and he wasn't asked for any ID, just the vaccination record, which we had and showed them!
Come on Walgreens! We are encouraging the nation to get vaccinated and you're turning away people for no apparent reason other than your employees attitude arbitrarily demanding an ID with no explanation as to why. This is yet another issue I had with Walgreens. I now truly hate going ther.

This is a good company and I've shopped with them for years. Even though a big order comes in 6 different boxes the shipping is the same, Free over $35.00.

All products have never been used or opened unlike those at times from Walmart and in the days of covid. That means a lot.

Nothing but love for this company and I will always keep coming back!

I would kind of like to give Walgreens at least 4 stars. Pharmacists are generally very good at discussing the pros and cons of different medications since physicians aren't always spot on. Also, if you're on Medicare, the AARP Walgreens prescription option is generally less expensive than its main competitor, CVS. But that seems to be where that story ends. Using the interactive voice option to order is a nightmare if you make an error. And the main reason to go to Walgreens is to pick up scripts.
I don't want auto refills every 28 days since they're the monthly dosage is 30 days. Maybe I'm picky, but I like some orderly precision. I evolved this way because I was constantly running into the prescribing physician saying he called them in and Walgreens telling me the opposite. Part of the rub is the people taking the orders aren't always reliable because in a busy pharmacy location, Walgreens creates brain fatigue which is probably why their prices come in a bit lower. In other words, they're slave drivers like Walmarts.
All I ask for in an interactive voice system is simplicity and a little versatility. What I get is "do you want your prescriptions the following day, and if "no", "how about 1 hour." C'mon Walgreens, don't jam it up your employee's butts. I feel their pain. Cut them some slack like "a few hours" or "later that day." The system also doesn't recognize recently called in prescriptions, only the prescription number. Hence, you have to call them unless you're tracking things with a spreadsheet.

Lastly, enough of those child proof containers. I'm an adult and a cap is fine. And because I'm getting older, print a little larger and make life easier by not hiding how many pills are left in the prescription. Perhaps I'm getting older and crankier, but Walgreen makes my head hurt and I might have to order pain killers next.

Very unhappy about no public bathrooms. Needed to go badly. Tried to go somewhere else and went 3 places before I could find a public bathroom. In alot of pain trying not wet my pants only to leak trying to get my pants down when I got to a toilet. Had to walk by someone with wet pants and hope they didn't notice. So humiliated I Should sue the company for pain and emotional trauma. So mad. Found out may have grounds for a law Suite. Seriously entertaining suing this company to prevent someone else having the same experience.
